Original Spanish Song.......2007-04-11

Modedades is an excellent singing group and this collection features songs from an original composer. I bought it mostly because it include Eres Tu, often heard on American radio, but other selections are also outstanding.

Disappointed.......2005-04-28

The first time I heard Eres Tu was in the movie, Tommy Boy, believe it or not. After years of remembering that song and recently hearing it BEAUTIFULLY sung on the Lawrence Welk Show, I ordered it. Upon receiving it and playing it for the first time, my enthusiasim waned. Although the lyrics are simple and meaningful, which I love, the singing voices are much to be desired. The rest of the album is not much better. Perhaps, if I listen to it enough, I will accept their unrefinement. Then again, I think not. Does anyone know if a cover was ever made for Erest Tu?

Mocedades.......2002-09-22

Mocedades is an excellent group, they have an exceptional female voice, that honestly is out of this world .
I really recommend this group, specially those that love romantic music this is the right choice.

Excellent CD, highlighting most of her hits. Was a bit saddened by the abscence of 'Porque Te Vas' but it's a minor flaw.

I bought this CD and think it's great it's a good combination of a few albums of Jeannette and it has most of my favorite songs. Highly recomend it.

Passionate, Soulful and Highly Romantic.......2003-09-28

Another fantastic collection of Boleros that Jose recorded in the 1960's. I don't want to repeat myself over and over again but I don't know any other way of saying this Jose Feliciano is and always be the greatest interpreter of the Bolero and of romantic music in general. I love all of the songs on this CD, however, there are three in particular that are favorites of mine such as "La Copa Rota" which was a #1 hit for Feliciano in 1968 and there is also "Amor Gitano" a song he recorded in Venezuela in 1967 and was another major hit and probably the saddest song on the album but also the most beautiful in my opinion "Nosotros" which means (US) not as in United States but as in two people. I give this album another 5 star rating because it deserves it. I would like to make one thing clear of why I'm always giving Jose Feliciano 5 stars. In my opinion the man walks on water simply put I see him as a another GOD. To me he can never do no wrong. However, in reality I rate his albums the way I do simply because the music is of the highest caliber both written and performed. You don't have to worship him to know that he is a superb and brilliant musician, anyone who knows about music and especially what good music should sound like will agree with me that Jose is a rare breed an in a class all by himself. As far as this CD is concerned is another example for the listener to enjoy and get to know Jose's early spanish roots which is the musical genre known as the Bolero for which Feliciano became a household word all over North and South America before he made his way to superstardom in 1968 in the United States and the rest of the world. This is for Jose Feliciano, JOSE if you ever get the opportunity to have someone read my reviews of your work to you all I want to say is THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for providing my life with so much inspiration and so much GREAT music. I think you're awesome and simply put you're the BEST there is. Keep rockin' my friend I love you. I hope to see you in concert for the 35th time sometime soon. Peace, to you and your family.

This is a great collection by Panamanian Reggae Giant El General. This is great dance reggae, it has a touch of pop and merengue and it's very sexy, you'll love dancing to "Muevelo" guaranteed. Also, EL General's lyrics are spiced with naughty metaphors that are a lot of fun, a good example is "Caramelo" (I won't give away what it is about just in case, I wouln't want to spoil the surprise) The only regret is that it does not include the equally awesome and funny song "El Brasiel". For all you Reggaeton fans out there, get this and listen to the roots of the genre.

Now I like regge musica, especially reggetation musica, witch is regge with spanish. I don't know why but I like this regge better then the inglish somthing about the spanish in it but I must say he (El General) got me to like this musica even more. This guy is definitly good at what he does.Somthing about his beats and then he adds his spanish to it and it plays right into his beats to make perfect want to dance to songs. Every song on this cd is good. I have herd them all. I am going to buy this cd I am shure of that. I hear his stuff on the radio still all the time. The song I love the most is (Rica Y Apretadita). That is a good hit song of his but hes got lots of others like (buena) and others but those are my 2 favorites. I think this is a buy but you have to like this kinda musica other wize you will be dissapointed. Maybe all buy this cd tomorrow.

Carlos Gardel is the original master of the tango and this is a great collection of his songs...it includes "Mano a Mano", which with it's wonderful, moving lyrics is one of my favorites and one that's left out of many of his CD compilations.

Not only was he a superb singer, but as a songwriter wrote songs that are still being recorded by today's top artists. (Listen to the sublime rendition of "El Dia que me Quieras" by Alejandro Fernández in his "A la Manera" CD, for instance). These are classics, and will never sound dated.
