Customer Reviews:
If you want to know Cuba, listen to Frank Delgado.......2002-06-15
What a wonderful thing that the music of singer-songwriter and guitarist Frank Delgado has finally made it to the US and international market via his latest release "Adivino." This CD follows where "Trovatur" and "La Habana Esta de Bala" left off, perhaps a little more introspective, but with the same pointed sense of humor and irony about Cuban reality as in his previous work. Delgado's lyrics as always cater first to those familiar with Cuba. However, the strength of his vocals and compositions, along with the playing of accompanying guitarist Freddy Perez and tres player Julio Martinez make this CD very pleasing to those who do not understand any Spanish. Adivino is highly recommended to those who want to hear from the vanguard of the new wave of Cuban social chronicle through song, known as the Trova Cubana.
