I am not aware of a more relaxing, thought provoking album on this planet. Listen alone or with company. This is a wonderful compelation of artists including one of the finest sopranos ever.

Product Description

The third in the series of albums from Celestial, "Hong Kong Dub Station" once again invokes a pan-Asian dubscape of hypnotic rhythms and deep space textures. Another tectonic phase shift from Celestial merges the sounds of 70's Jamaican b-sides with top Asian instrumentalists and digital tech-know-how. Rhythms and sounds from dub plates, collide with melodies and textures through zen temple gates... Trip the light dubtastic in the dancehall of the mind...

All the reviews for the Celestial CDs here are fake. They are all of the same guys trying to promote these albums and they review other albums, just to plus this one. I am actually a fan of the hong kong dj music scene, but this is a despicable fake marketing scheme that should be exposed...just click to see what other cds the "reviewer" raves about.

5 out of 5 stars He's doing it again.......2006-06-23

Peter Millward's doing it again....Pouring sounds from past and present in and soothing Asian rain over my tired eyes in West Hollywood, California.
I am greatful to have this source of deep penetrtion in to the history of Asia combined with a Western eye and ear. There's a lot we have to learn...Peter Millward is a Doctor of Music, healing our souls by letting us know that the world's been spinning and spinning way before we came here. To see the future through the past is wonderful...and it looks bright in Dr. Millward's Music.
Thank You Doctor!

5 out of 5 stars Celestial Does It Again!!!.......2006-06-13

Yet another great release from Celestial. Once again, the fusion of downtempo dub with asian instrumentation works like a charm. I've been a DJ for many years now and always get a great reaction from the audiences when I play tracks from the Hong Kong based outfit. This latest album is bound to be no exception... In my opinion, their best yet!

5 out of 5 stars Nice dub .......2006-06-12

I was delighted when I heard this third CD from Celestial, because they have taken traditional Chinese tunes and then re-mixed them with a very nice modern touch. Probably my favorite out of the three CDs which Celestial has produced.

Most Asians will recognise the second track on this CD, Pounding Waves, because it is from a very famous Chinese tune.

5 out of 5 stars This fantastic album is no longer available on amazon.......2006-06-05

but check out Celestial on CDBaby where this album, the previous two and the brand new album, Electric Road, are all now available...
