Not authentic.......2006-02-07

Sadly the rendition of the to me familiar songs is disappointing. I should have known something was not up to par, as the feature to listening to a few bars was missing -- so, against my better judgment I ordered the cd anyway. Again, because of my familiarity with the "old" tunes. The recording sounds like it's speeded up, the instrumental part is simple and repetitious and sounds like something out of a latin country instead of Germany. The yodeling shows no nuances. To put an end to my misery I just gave the cd away.

Amazing Yodelling.......2004-10-15

I bought this CD for my two kids, ages 2 and 4, to expose them to yodelling. This is a great CD for kids, both love it. Heidi is a great yodeller, but her singing doesn't hold up to someone like Julie Andrews, so there are places in songs, and a couple of songs where she sings more than yodels and that is a bit disappointing. I would say 75% of the songs are yodelling, however. I think seniors would love this CD too. It's campy, very catchy, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to hear yodelling. Many songs are in German, or Switzer-Deutsch.
