I like this album...I enjoy it because all the tracks are of good quality...The new song "Los Motoristas" is hot....The rest of the album consists of a compilation of his palos track from his other albums...I like what they did with "Vale la Pena". In the original version it is a much slower song, but in this album they made it faster and now it is much better to dance to and actually sounds better...One thing I did not like in this album was the supposed live track...Everybody knows this track was not recorded live...It was done in a studio and they just messed up a very beautiful song....That song is actually the first song that kinito did in palos for Rokabanda on their first album....They should have left the original version there....Other then that, the album is great...You can liven up any party with this album....Only reason it got a 4 is because they could have put at least 1 or 2 more new tracks....Most of the tracks are from past albums, then again, that is why it is a compilation album....Great buy...

Kinitio es "el embajador del merengue". Es disco es un homenaje a los raices dominicanos y al folklore del pueblo. Aunque el merengue de este disco es un recorrido al estilo tradicional todavia se puede oir claramente la influencia del estilo nuevo de este merengue que fue evolucionado por Kinito. Tambien los vocalistas de fondo hicieron un trabajo fenomenal cantando los coros. Su aporte al disco es muy significativo porque le da el sabor afrocaribeno a la musica que igualmente forma parte de los raices del merengue dominicano. Reserva un espacio especial en tu estante para este disco porque esta por encima de los demas.

Kinito Jammin' Once More!.......2001-11-01

This is Kinito's new jam. The first release "Nueva York Pasando Lista" a tribute to the Latin communities of NYC, an incredible bomba/merengue jam that just makes you get up and dance. The second release and huge hit "Amores De Colores" with Magic One, is about the diferent types of Loves. This one is just another of thouse Kinito's jams that puts you in a good mood and makes you dance all night long. The third release "Lo Motorita" is his lastes release. This jam is about a lady that is always alone and he invites her to come aboard his Motorita. The rest is history... The hole CD just makes you dance and feel good. If you like bomba/merengue you will love this release.

Buena lirica, pero arreglos repetititos.......2005-04-22

Kinito Mendez puede cantar, de eso no hay ninguna duda. En cada cancion habla de cosas de la vida cotidiana y del amor. Y todo lo hace con un buen sentido del humor. Pero lo que se queda corto aqui es la instrumentacion. Si hay sabor, pero casi siempre el mismo sabor. Y por eso muchas de las canciones aqui terminan sonando un poco genericas.
Las ecepciones a esto son las dos canciones de "Palo", A Palo Limpio y Liberacion. Estas canciones tienen un sabor mas africano que el resto, que yo siendo puertoriquen~o lo compararia con la bomba, con un excelente coro que se combina muy bien con la voz de Quinito.
Estas dos canciones de Palo me dan la imprecion que Quinito tiene una buena capacidad para arreglar la percusion y coros. Si se consiguiera a algun experto que hiciera lo mismo con los metales y el piano yo estoy seguro que podria hacer un merengue de la misma calidad de Juan Luis Guerra.

Kinito Mendez no deja de sorprendernos con esta entrega excelente de autenticas piezas de merengue. Como autor , compositor y arreglista cada vez perfecciona más su musica y como ejemplo es este disco que de principio a fin te contagia con su alegre musica. Definitivamente el mejor merengue es interpretado por este genio de la musica por su muy particular manera de mostrarnos su talento y su toque único en cada canción.
Kinito mendez seguirá siendo el mejor.

Realmente este disco me gustó muchísimo. Como siempre la música de Kinito es muy alegre y te hace sentir bien. Creo que Kinito siempre se esforzó por crear música que trata de cosas de la vida (a veces muy banales.) Sin embargo sus temas siempre me hacen reír. Normalmente su música tiene letra muy chabacana pero los últimos tres discos de Kinito no tienen nada de la chabanería que antes. El ritmo es golpeíto y típico "del hombre merengue". Ojalá lo disfrutes igual que yo!

Don't hesitate to purchase this album from Kinito Mendez. It's full of the kind merengue that makes him one of the most popular merengue artists of today attracting fans of all ages. This merengue has a little of everything. It contains great beats, some faster tempos, comical lyrics and unique rhythms. This is one of my favourite albums from Kinito Mendez because of the lyrics that narrate true life stories in a humorous and unique way that only Kinito does best. There are several show stoppers tunes in this album such as: Pegue, Anja Juan, Cachamba, Grua and Que raro. Get ready to laugh because that is what this album will inspire you to do when you start dancing to this contagious merengue and if you don't understand Spanish consider buying a dictionary because you'll be missing out on the essence of this album. With merengue like this Kinito is going only in one direction... straight to the top. Enjoy...este merengue de loco!

I must admit that I bought this album solely because the song "Cachamba" was on it; however, I soon discovered this was not the only good song on the album. It's a great addition to CD collections and becomes better with each listening. Many songs will make you want to blast your stereo and dance around the room in reckless abandon. If you like merengue or salsa, you're sure to enjoy Kinito Mendez. Fans of ranging from "Proyecto Uno" and "Los Ilegaes" to "Fey" and "Au-d" can find middle ground here and enjoy some "musica fabuloso"!

Este disco de Kinito Mendez no solo es un homenaje a Johnny Ventura sino un homenaje por lo general al genero musical llamado "el merengue". Kinito uso su propia experiencia y conocimiento musical combinados con lo que aprendio de uno de los grandes a traves de los anos para crear este disco que es un triunfo sin duda. Lo compre porque siempre me ha gustado el ritmo de la musica de Kinito pero que placer fue cuando escuche "A caballo". El cd esta lleno de espiritu, fervor y brio. Todas las canciones son merengues para que te rias, goces y bailes. Asi que no dudes en comprar este disco de Kinito Mendez. Creo que es uno de sus mejores y es fiel exponente de la alegria dominicana y el poder del merengue.

Este es uno de los discos de merengue con más ritmo que jamás haya escuchado (Exitos). Ideal para fiestas y para practicar este baile tan de moda. Es cierto que ha Kinito Mendez le falta pulirse en la letra, pero al fin y al cabo lo que cuenta es la musica y el ritmo. Adquiérelo y ponte a bailar con el mejor sabor latinoamericano. Es de adquisición obligatoria para los amantes del merengue.
