sandrine does indeed have a very beautiful voice. great pop hooks throughout this set of songs & her pronunciation is very clear & flawless throughout as well.... if ya don't believe me then go to http://www.sandrinekiberlain.com to hear 90 second clips of some of these songs. the instrumentation is very nice & all acoustic. kind of an old world european sound ..great acoustic guitar work on all of the tracks & very mandolin like on a few tracks & they may actually be mandolins' just like the pogues used to play. yes a few tracks are very nearly an irish ballad sound, but with french vocals; a very nice combination. anyone who gives this cd as a gift will receive huge amounts of praise & everlasting love in return (if they're lucky)..there are even a few video clips on her website. she looks like a cross between the french actress julie delpy & linda mccartney. of which I am a fan of both... you will be glad you have this cd once spring has sprung & love is in the air & in no time you shall be singing along even if you do not understand french.. that's cool & also check out April March & her LP triggers & also the french singer Camille..two releases from her 'le fil' & 'Les sac des filles'

Great voice, great melodies.......2007-07-03

I don't speak french and maybe that's a good thing because that way I don't get put off by dumb lyrics (not saying hers are because I can't tell!) but the songs themselves as well as her voice and the instrumentation are wonderful.
