Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Brahmacharini Mirabai is a nun of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (Self-Realization Fellowship) founded by Paramahansa Yogananda. She is well known for her beautiful interpretations of classical Indian music. In 1997 she made a special pilgrimage from her native India to the ashrams founded by Sri Yogananda in America, and it was during this visit that the bhajans (hymns of devotion) on this CD were recorded. In these beautiful chants to various aspects of God, including the Divine Mother and the Lord as Guru, Brahmacharini Mirabai voices the timeless spiritual consciousness and soul-yearning that have characterized India's culture since ancient times.
