QDK Media strikes again. If you've checked out Doob Doob O'Rama I & II, you can't miss with this bizarro retro compilation. This has quickly become one of my favorite discs. Think 60's Batman themes meets bluesey horn-fueled psychedelic bar band meets the Dragon Lady turned pop singer. QDK went to the Orient to net material from Singapore, Malasia, Korea, Hong Kong & Japan. They came back with a disc full of cute singers, catchy hooks with lots of interesting regional influences.
My only beef is an almost complete lack of liner notes. No years of production listed, no info beyond the singer and song title.
Still, if you're into retro pop cocktail nation weirdness, this will make your top 10. Promise.
