Blackstone Round Dance Singin' With The Logan Alexis Singers presents eleven original songs composed by the competitive and championship Blackstone group members, of the Cree nation of the Saskatchewan, recorded on the Alexis First Nation reservation in Alberta, Canada. This is a superbly produced CD recording that preserves Native American tradition while evoking the best and most original quality that devotion and practice can bring. The individual tracks racks include Stormin' (3:14), From The '90s (3:20), Honey (4:00), Mad Zztz (3:50), The Moc (3:09), Last Minute (3:50), Young Runner (3:46), Just Like Old Times (4:29), Aimz (3:21), The "B" Squad (3:27), and Mentor (5:10). Also very highly recommended for Native American music collections are two other newtitles from Canyon Records Productions: Clark Tenakhongva's Hear My Song, Hear My Prayer: Songs From The Hope Mesas (CR-6366) and Gordon McGilvery's All In The Family: Old-Time Cree Round Dance Songs (CR-6368).
