Wow! I can't get sick of this album!.......2005-10-31

This is the first review I've ever written for Amazon, and I'm doing it because I'm so inspired. Buy this album, it is amazing. I bought it because I heard a few good songs on Internet radio, then actually bought a bootleg of it in Latin America. I got so hooked on it that I wanted the real thing, so I ordered it. It just keeps getting better and better. Tiziana Ferro is a very talented musician. It's also very good for practicing/picking up Spanish and Italian.

A Beautiful and Well-written CD. .......2005-05-11

I bought Tiziano Ferro's 111 Ciento Once cd just for the songs Xdono and Xverso and I ended falling in love with the whole cd, as well as with him. He has an enchanting voice and his lyrics are so original, besides being thruthful and real. My favorites are Ciento Once, Tardes Negras(which by the way, is the most beautiful love song ever)and Mi Abuela. I recommend that if you buy this cd and you like it, you should buy his former one, his debut cd, Rojo Relativo(or Rosso Relativo if you prefer listening to him in Italian). It's a younger but still impressing version of 111 Ciento Once. This is one of the few artists who actually impacts people with his music and isn't in it just for the fame of it. It's excellent!

This cd can only be described as heavenly. It blends slow melodic songs like alucinado and tardes negras with catchy beats like perverso.Personally I don't really listen to spanish music but this cd was different. From the first time I heard TzN singing Tardes Negras on the MTV Europe Awards, I knew I had to have it. And I wasn't disappointed at all. Every song on the cd is catchy and it never gets boring. Most people say they play their cd through shuffle because it makes the cd more interesting, but with this cd there is no need for that. So all I can say is buy this cd.

You don't have to speak Spanish or Italian to enjoy this CD. I'm teaching myself Spanish, and since I don't get to hear it on a daily basis, I started listening to Mario Alberto's show on the local Spanish pop station (105.7 in San Jose) to stay exposed to the language. To my surprise, I fell in love with a lot of the music, and Tiziano Ferro's "Tardes negras" was one of the reasons why. Then I heard "Perdona" and when I found out he sang both songs, and they were BOTH on Ciento Once, I had to have it! And the more I listen to it, the more I like it.

Trying to translate the lyrics is good Spanish practice, but you don't have to understand what he's saying to be moved by his music. You can tell that "Tardes negras" is expressing love lost just by the music and the way he tells the story with his vocals. It's soulful and sad and sweet and he sings it with passion as he does every song on the CD, whether it's the sensual passion of "Perdona" (I'm telling you, that song's an aphrodisiac! [even though it's not about sex]), the torch song passion of "Temple Bar," the passion of love in "Alucinado," evoking the ethereal passion of beauty in "13 anos," or the simple, positive passion of "Quien no tiene talento ensena." These five are worth the price of the CD alone!

He's an amazing talent, having written every song on the CD, which range from lovely, jazzy and funky to plain sexy, just like his voice. If you like pop music, you'll like this!

I really like this CD. I first saw Tiziano Ferro when he appeared on television at the European Music Awards 2004. Normally I wouldn't buy a foreign CD (because it is in a different language) but Tardes Negras was just too beautiful. Tardes Negras is perhaps the most beautiful song I've heard in a long while. The CD is even better when you translate it! I think it helps to know a little Spanish before buying the CD or you'll just be totally lost.
Tiziano Ferro has some other awesome songs on this CD, I love Perverso and Ti Voligo Bene (even though it is in Italian so I really don't understand it). What I also really like about this CD is that Tiziano wrote all the songs himself and they aren't too European poppy and they also aren't like the Spanish songs you normally hear, and are turned off by, today. I totally recommend this CD for anyone, unless your like into haredcore rap. I'd also recommend rojo relativo which is another awesome CD of Tiziano Ferro.
