IL GIORNO PERFETTO has an excellent, live acoustic version of "Primo treno per marte" and a couple of other different versions of songs that recommend its purchase, including a Spanish-language version of "La mia storia tra le dita" ("Mi historia entre tus dedos"). And the title song debuted on this CD (it's also on SUCCO DI VITA). If you're already a Grignani fan, don't hesitate to purchase this CD for fear of redundancy. If you think you'll only want one of his CDs in your collection, then purchase the more comprehensive compilation, SUCCO DI VITA. But here you get the oh-so-cute cover photo. Didn't Mamma teach you not to bite your nails, Gianluca?! You're so coy! Ma come ti voglio bene, my little Rock Star!

I agree with 'Jo' from Melbourne, this album "takes some listening to get used to".
I generally like rock music but it took a while for me to warm up to this CD, even though I'd heard music by Grignani before.
I kept the album because the songs have depth (meaning), and I remembered Jo's review. So, although I found some songs not to my taste, with constant playing eventually my ears accepted Grignani's style. I've decided it's a gem.
I'd describe this cd's musical style as 'acoustic rock', it's laid back, yet intense and introspective. Overall it's a very good album. I recommend it.

Gianluca Grignani's album, Il giorno perfetto, is just that: perfect. It brings together some of his greatest songs that are sure to please. His music is painfully romantic poetic. If you have never gotten past the hype of "La mia storia tra le dita" (a marvelous song, by the way), well, you are just missing out on some amazing music. Don't hesitate to plunge into Gianluca's music...it's beautiful.
