Yes, the ethereal voice and the melodious flow of the whole album are no less than that. Some songs are delivered in sweet melancholy, some in harmonious dynamism, but all with great passion, orginality and profession. My favorites are "Kumsalda" (beautiful dance song), "Bahcede" (puts you into an euphoric mood with the guitar solo, her incredible soprano voice and soothing sounds from nature), "Seni Sevmeye Hukum Giydim" (a romantic ballad), "Yagmurdan Sonra Gelen Topragin Kokusu" (how haunting her voice is..!), "Oysa" (amazing tango background), and the wonderful closer, "Askolsun".
All in all, wholeheartedly recommended!

This was the winner of the Eurovision song contest in 2003 (if that means anything to you). Its a really good song: sexy, rhythmic, not too long. Sertab has an interesting voice and stays true to her Turkish roots, even on the English version. I heard it in Europe (god bless la discotheque) and wasn't ready to commit to her full-length CD. I recommend it...the video's good too.

Standout song: um...Everyway that I can.

mega song "Every Way That I Can".

Who knew that a Turkish person would reach the NR 1 of the world charts, and win the 2003 Eurovision ?!!

For us, Arab people, it's more thrill to see a Turkish diva having this success. I mean that foreign artists used to include an Indian style in their songs (like Bond for an example), but there's something common between Arabs and Turks, especially that Turks have ruled the Arab land for 4 centuries, so it's natural to find something common between the two countries in language or music or traditions.

"Every Way That I Can" is a beautiful beautiful song which contains many Arabic and Turkish rhythms.

I first heard about Sertab when she won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003, with an English-language version of "Every Way That I Can." I was impressed with her voice, and when this CD came out, I bought it, even though I don't understand a word of Turkish. I was absolutely floored at the range and dynamics of this young woman's voice. The songs are varied in style, from dance tunes to ballads, a little bit of jazz, and some awesome coloratura demonstrations.

Definitely worth the price of an "import" album, buy it if you can find it!

It is dynamic, interesting, soporific, etc.
Indeed first class in the musical compositions and in the execution of the musicians playing on it.
The singer Sertab Erener has a highly stylistic, elegant singing voice. Bravo!
This CD has a high quality in the production and producing of the sound on it.
My personal opinion is :
Sertab Erener(turk.)is in the ranks of the top present day middle Eastern pop diva's ..... as follows :
Natacha Atlas.(egyp.),Howayda.(syrian.),Dania.(egyp.),Samira Said.(egyp.).
But she has the edge! + with the musical compositions .
