De regreso es el nombre de su primer sencillo que ha logrado un buen comportamiento dentro de los listados radiales a nivel nacional desde que fue lanzado a principios del 2005. Como si fuera un presagio, el nombre de este tema marca el retorno a escena de esta talentosa interprete, que alcanzó un alto nivel de popularidad el año pasado cuando realizó un dúo junto a la banda británica Blue con la canción One Love. Este primer sencillo es solo un abrebocas de lo que Ilona tiene preparado para los oídos del público nacional e internacional, pues la calidad de su voz y la creatividad en las letras hacen que esta estrella que esta comenzando a brillar y se destaque en la plataforma musical como una de las revelaciones del 2005.

I first saw Ilona covered about a year ago on CNN en Espanol (I think "El Ojo Critico"). I was mesmerized! What a voice. But then nothing for some time. Problem was I couldn't even remember her name, and I even tried to look it up on CNN's website (worthless). Finally we had a visitor from Bogota who was able to figure out who I was talking about.

My wife's Colombian, but I'm not, and my Spanish is just so-so. Nevertheless, I think this disc is wonderful. Ilona's voice is really the centerpiece, but the songwriting is excellent as well, with some really memorable melodies. She has a vibrato that is so smooth and natural- you never get the impression that the producers were pushing her in the making of this album. She has perfect control and never misses a note, while able to modulate between forceful and sweet/smooth with ease. She just sings naturally and without any gimmicks. I wish Ilona all the success she deserves, because success will hopefully lead to more albums, and soon!

Well, first at all, you don't need to be a Colombian to know that this lady is really a great singer, probably you will need to know spanish, yes, but, not being a colombian to check why this girl is going to be a superstart.
She's a great voice, reaches notes like Shakira, Andrea Echeverry, even recalls anothers ..but that is not important if you consider she wrote the most of the material, and the lyrics are really good, not only silly love songs, she touches the common violence of the latinamerican people and the simplicity of the honest worker also.
I trully recommend this Cd to anyone....You are going to find out she is going to be a great spanish singer, hopefully just spanish, because listening latins singing in english is just silly, welcome Ilona to the world of the great artist, to me you are one!
Last but not least....the bonus track included after the stupid "one love" of Blue...will let you appreciate how she in a capella make green with envy any other latin artist!

A new Colombian star on the horizon...!!!.......2005-08-27

Ilona is not only a beautiful name but one of the most recent stars that Colombia, my country, came up with. A sexy and unique voice mixed with original compositions, great collaborations (Leon Gieco & Blue performing with her, and Cachorro López & Richard Navaez in wrting and production) anbd songs with meaning create this awesome album from a girl that started singing in the public buses in Colombia and now is nominated in the 2005 Latin Grammy Awards in the Best New Artist Field... Hopefully, she'll take it home!!!

Finally somebody discovered this true talent, this powerful voice with a lot of things to say... She could be the next Shakira, who knows? Just wait and see!!

Ilona is a great artist. She has an amazing voice, really unimaginable, because it is so strong and powerful that you could've never imagine that it exists, plus she's colombian (I am too) and since I love music and I love my country, this is for me a perfect combination! I'm sure that it will also be perfect for you.
