From 1981 to 1995, Simone was the main female singer of the cbs-sony brazilian company. She sold over 10 million of albuns, in portuguese and spanish. This album is a very special coletanea over all those years. So many beatiful songs, almost perfect performances, results in a great album. If you would like to know more about Simone and brazilian music, this is a chance to a special glance, using eyes of love, passion, poetry and Simone's voice as a vehicle to travel inside yourself and discover a whole new world. Simone is a gift from the Gods of Music. No one is a star over 30 years, sold over than 20 millions of records, without a huge amount of hits, and this album presents some of them.

I haven't heard this CD but Agepe is very famous in Brazil.
He is kind of old school samba and pagode.
If you like Brazilian music you will probably like him

Fun, uncomplicated pop-samba from Brazil.......2004-07-05

I don't know the story on this guy, but this is a nice, poppy samba-cancao collection. Not stunning, but nice. Has a touch of forro and percussive samba as well, with bright, cheerful melodies and perky vocal choruses. Nice stuff; for prefab pop music, this stuff's a gas. I'm not sure when these tracks were recorded (the budget-line "As Melhores" best-of series is strong musically, but skimpy on packaging), Still, whenever it was made, the music is fine. It all starts to sound a lot a like, but it's still really fun. Recommended.
