Summertime in Northern Spain.......2000-01-30

This album is a find. Le Mans have a whimsical lo-fi sound much like Belle and Sebastian. The vocals are in Spanish and the mood is a little more upbeat. This is perfect, honest summertime music.

Le Mans rocks the casa!.......1999-01-16

In the summer of '98, I used Le Mans as my summertime beach soundtrack of choice: Strawberry daiquiri in one hand, Gabriel Garcia Marquez in the other, and "Un Rayo Del Sol" painting Provincetown in vibrant Grimsey pop watercolors. By the end of the third track, the whole beach was dancing... Thank you, Grimsey Records, for bringing Le Mans to American ears!
