About the Artist
Emile Simon Born in East Prussia, what is now Poland, Emile Simon began his life as a child protégé of the violin. Sadly, his joy was taken from him when his violin teacher was arrested by the SS and taken away, never to be seen again. Conscripted into the war as a very young soldier in 1944 he was caught and sent to the prison camps of Siberia. There he saw many people die and suffer and it left a tremendous impression upon this very sensitive person. He managed to escape with a few others and was able to gain his freedom. With the tip of his thumb having been shot off, his world of music was over. He continued to educate himself after the war, specializing in literature and poetry in particular but found no happiness in Europe and decided to immigrate to Canada. In Canada, Emile Simon continued to work and fulfill his dream. He has written both novels and poetry books and is now retired living in British Columbia. When his interest in music resumed, it happened in Canada upon meeting his wife June who was a coloratura soprano. At that time, Emile began composing songs for her, one of which was the theme song for his novel which was being considered for a movie. Unfortunately, June was stricken with a very bad illness which affected her voice and all the music ceased. Recently, June was in a recording studio with Emile helping out a friend. They were having a problem interpreting a song which Emile had composed for this friend. It was known that June had sung and so she was asked if she could just sing it to help them get the right feeling and mood. She thought nothing of it because no one was there – no real audience – so she happily sang the song even though she had not sung for many, many years. The result is now history. Everyone loved her voice and wanted her to record the song. She did and since then Emile has begun to write music and June has been recording it with absolute joy. Emile’s music includes both instrumentals and songs, some of the songs making beautiful instrumentals as well. His music is so varied covering love songs, romantic moods, reflective music, country and western, world music and classical. However, it always reflects this unique individual who though he has suffered tremendously, his walk through life continues to find that little spark of hope and his audiences feel it as they listen. Emile Simon is bringing something very new to the music world – combining modern and classical in a most beautiful way. As well, his lyrics reflect his true love, poetry, and the emotions he creates, the scenes, the thoughts, the moments in time are superb and far reaching as regards any audience he might attract. The first all- instrumental CD is just now being released entitled "Special Moments with Emile Simon" and will be available soon. A second instrumental CD is scheduled to follow as this composer is extremely prolific and versatile. We look very forward to every piece of music he composes and have released 3 CD’s, Songs of Love, Songs of Our Time and Turn the Time Around, all sung by June Simon, which include songs and some instrumentals combined. All of these CD’s are available at this time.

This is one of those very special CD’s that give you music you’ve always wished for but never heard. Emile Simon is one of those unique individuals who every once in awhile cross the stage of life to give us something very rare – a picture of the world in a light we all feel, understand, appreciate yet never quite see. His music is like his life has been, full of happiness, sadness, truth and vision. In his life, he has gained international recognition as an author and poet. When he first met his wife, however, they shared the love of music and at that time he began to compose. Being a child protégé of the violin at a very young age, his life was brutally interrupted by WWII and never again did he play the violin. However, his love of music never changed and when he met his wife, June Simon, a coloratura soprano, he began to compose music for her. Unfortunately, she was stricken with an illness which took her voice from her and Emile stopped composing. Just over! a year ago, he and his wife were in a recording studio helping a friend when inadvertently June was asked to sing a few lines only to discover that her voice had returned. From then on, Emile has been giving us beautiful music: songs and instrumentals we will cherish now and in the future to come.

Moods & Moments CD of Wayne Newton Has song from Rosanne tv song.......2006-01-16

On the end of one of Roseanne TV show Wayne Newton sings a song called 'I Know So' and it's a great song. I just had to have it. Well this CD of Waynes has that same song that was played at the end of Roseanne Tv show and if you want that song, this is the CD you want. The other songs are good too.

Great Album by the King of Las Vegas.......2005-11-13

This is a great album. I Know So, The Letter, and Little Bits And Pieces alone make it worth the price of admission. It's well worth the very low cost you can get this cd from an Amazon seller.

Still great.......2001-08-12

Just got back from Las Vegas and finally got to see Wayne in person. My 21 year old daughter and I had front row seats to see him at The Stardust. What a show!!!! He looks fantastic and sounds wonderful!!!! He did not sing any songs from this CD but as I listen to it now, I realize it is one of his best! Classic Wayne!

Wayne gets personal.......2000-01-28

I was not a Wayne Newton fan by any means until I heard the single track "I know so" from this cd on the Roseanne series(1988-1997) where Dan and Rosie go to Las Vegas to see their idol, Wayne Newton. The song is as catchy as an early Paul McCartney tune but with the country flavor that only Wayne can add. On "Moods & Moments", you'll find some songs from the heart such as "Little bits and pieces" and "The Letter". I always thought that Wayne was just Las Vegas material until I listened and came to see that this man has alot to offer. This cd is packed with some mellow songs that Wayne sings with all his might ("At this moment") and belts out some tunes with serious gusto. Who would of known? I didn't. Now I am a Wayne Newton fan.

I would highly recommend this CD to all Wayne Newton fans.......1999-04-21

I've had this CD for over a year and still listen to it often. There are a lot of original songs that I'd never heard before and I really enjoy them all.

For the price and the chance that this was an impulse buy - I am very pleased with this cd. One of the better classical compilations I have had in a long while!
