About the Artist
Energetic music and vibrant flavor defines the career of these four puertorricans, known as Sol d' Menta, who have set the bases of the Rock scene in the island since their appearance in 1994.

Los Soles, as their fans commonly know them, is composed by Jey in the bass, Tito guitars, Che drums and Omar, their dynamic singer.

Known as one of the main exponents of "puertorrican rock", Sol d'Menta has made extraordinary presentations in important squares and events in their native land as well as in several tours throughout the United States and Mexico, outstanding presentations have gained the respect of their fans in Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles, II Festival Mundial de Rock Latino in San Juan, in Hard Rock Café in México City and Feria de Tijuana. Throughout their career they have share the stage with Latin rock stars such as Miguel Mateos, Café Tacvba, Fabulosos Cadillacs, Fobia, Maldita Vecindad, Fito Páez, El Tri, Aterciopelados and others.

Los Soles Rule!!.......2006-07-21

I was a sound tech back in the days, (about 10 years ago). I still remember the first day I heard of this band. Since Ricky was the principal voice. It has evolved in the music genre but yet stay loyal to theyre fans taste. Believe me as a sound tech I can know when a band is fooling around in stage and these guys live are the same quality as in CD. My advice, start getting theyre CD'S because August 22 is near by and they will release theyre next album and they will go up up up far beyond anybody could imagine.

Beautiful hard rock from my island.......2002-01-15

I was born in Puerto Rico, and this band, along with few others,is one of the greatest bands down there. This album is perfect, it has everything. "Locomotora" is a full-blown thrash song, "El Velo De La Verdad" is very dramatic but heavy, "Voices in my head" sounds like an Alice in Chains rock epic, and "Rebeldia" is like a mix of metal and ska. My favorite track tho, is a remake of an old song of theirs, "Sentido Contrario", a song about the dangers of drug addiction. Definitely worth your money. Viva Puerto Rico!

Great mix of rock rythms.......2001-11-09

I love this CD. The mix of musical flavors created by Sol D Menta is exceptional. I especially love the drum and bass rythms in El Principio and the psycodelic sounds in Voices in my Head. I get pumped everytime I play de album.
