5 out of 5 stars Great product from amazon.......2007-07-07

Although the price was a little high, the quality and the time the product got to me was unbelievable. Thinking that since this album was from another country and I'm on the other side of the states that it would take every single day that the time gave for it to get to me I wasn't really expecting it until the last day but it came about 2 days early and I can not stop listening to it, love Gackt as well so that might be another reason.Sixth Day

5 out of 5 stars Long live Gackt!.......2005-05-31

The singles collections is a great start for any J-Pop/Rock fan. Gackt has nearly developed a cult status around the world as a credible, awesome talent. I would recommend all by him. I was totally blown away by him when I saw "Moon Child," the vampire DVD that got me into him. From there, his music, which blew me away all over again, made him my current favorite artist! Do yourself a favor, 'Get Gackted!'

5 out of 5 stars A Must buy!.......2005-05-23

I have to say that anything that comes out with Gackt's name on it is a master piece. He is a God. He is the most talented Singer out there right now and not to mention he's one sexy Bishonen and he is Bisexual (look at Vanilla Live Music Video). It's a shame that not many people know about him, so I share his voice and music with everyone I can. Snap up all of his CDs you can and his Movie, Moon Child. His songs are pure talent.

5 out of 5 stars Gackt continues to amaze...........2004-09-30

This cd is a GREAT addition to your collection!! It has 14 of his hit songs and singles with slight variations in them from the originals. And it is AWESOME!! His voice is just so incredible and he has soooo much passion for his music and work. He really is a true musician and you will not want to miss out on this super cd!! The Mizerable remix is my favorite!! I just love that song and he remixed it so good!! And Oasis too, that's another of my favorites. The cd also comes with 2 little booklets, one with lyrics and one with a message from Gackt (if you can read Japanese, lol) and pics.

3 out of 5 stars A decent listening but that's all.......2002-11-17

Trevor Rabin is one of the newest names in film music coming from the Media Ventures lot. He returns once again to score the Schwartzenegger film The Sixth Day and it didn't do quite as well as I had hoped. The best things about the score are the 2 themes presented. The first is heard in full form in "The 6th Day" and is awesome when it is played in full force. The second and the better theme in my opinion is "Adam's Theme". Both themes pop up here and there throughout the score. The rest of the music is mainly electronic blasting noises accompanying the action scenes in the film. There are a few good spots where the action music takes off and this is in "One For The Team", "The Rescue", and "The Roof Top". A synthesized choir is also used in some of the tracks, but could just as well of been left out. 3 stars is the rating mainly because the majority of the music is noisy and gave me a headache. A small orchestra was actually used in the score but you can hardly tell as the synthesizers dominated the listening experience. Trevor Rabin is a talented composer when he really wants to be (think Armageddon), but here he falls short of the mark. A decent listening when the themes appear, but other than that, just a bunch of noise.

4 out of 5 stars Great Themes and A Great Disc.......2002-04-18

Let me begin by saying that I became addicted to film scores several years ago. Since I began listening to them I have purchased nothing else. As an independent writer, I use them for inspiration when I write since they do not have distracting lyrics. I am not a music expert and know little about scoring a film. I just know what I like.

And I loved THE 6TH DAY.

I am a big fan of the movie, Schwarzenegger, and the score for this film. So much so that I listened to the entire Composer Commentary Track on the DVD and gained even more appreciation for the score. It is very aggressive music filled with synth rhythms and heavy drum work that I love in a music score. Both Adam's Theme and The Clone Theme continually pop up at all the right times.

If the soundtrack has a failing, it is that Mr. Rabin's sound is usually very similar in all of his scores. Some people might complain that similarities can be made to the score work done in CON AIR, DEEP BLUE SEA, and ENEMY OF THE STATE but I loved all of those scores as well. It would be like trying to tell an artist to draw figures a different way or get a singer to change his inflection and tones.

Composers are usually hired to bring his or her style to a picture and Trevor Rabin's great synth and action style is perfectly in tune for this picture. It is great to listen to as a stand-alone disc and if you like any of Mr. Rabin's other work, I am sure you will enjoy this disc.

3 out of 5 stars Good soundtrack.......2001-12-15

When you listen this soundtrack it makes you relax and feel confortable. You enjoy it for a while but then, it becomes bore.
In the end, is worth it.

4 out of 5 stars Me Again.......2001-06-02

Hi - I have written the review below, but I realized I made an error - instead of writing "4 stars instead of 5", I wrote "4 stars instead of 3", in the middle of the review. So, it still gets 4 out of 5. Thanks!

4 out of 5 stars Rabin is Amazing!!!!.......2001-05-27

How can I sum up The 6th Day in one review? Trevor Rabin's newest composition for the action, sci - fi film The 6th Day mixes everthing that score fans would come to expect from former Yes - man Rabin - amazing action cues (The Rooftop track comes to mind) and amazing themes, such as Adam's Theme and the loud, complex arrangements heard in Adam Goes Home. This score comes close to being some of Rabin's best work, but comes up a bit short - that's why 4 stars, not 3. After the incredible choral work heard in 1999's Deep Blue Sea, I wonder if Rabin could ever top the emotional level heard in Aftermath(of Deep Blue Sea) Overall, Varese Sarabande needs to produce longer scores, for those of us who like scores longer than 39 minutes!! Deep Blue Sea clocks in at 30 minutes, also on the Varese Sarabande label!! The 6th Day provides the film and the listener a qreat journey through the exciting world of cloning - and Ah-nuld!! Rabin managed to come up with many great ques featuring alot of diferent instruments, reslulting in a great "must - have" album.

Thanks Trevor!! If you are a new Rabin discoverer, get this. If you are already a fan of his work, get this.

Thanks for reading!!
