Es ist sehr gut!.......2005-01-28

I discovered Sportfreunde Stiller while searching for German music, (to help me learn the language,) on the internet. The first song I downloaded was Ein Kompliment, but that song is on their second album, Die Gute Seite.

Anyway, for about two weeks, Ein Kompliment was the only song I listened to, in any language. In about three weeks, I had most of their songs downloaded.

But somehow, I just didn't feel that was enough, I had to buy all of their CD's. So Wie Einst Real Madrid was the first one I bought because I had already heard a majority of the songs and because it was their major debut studio album.

When I finally got the CD, I listend to all of the songs. The ones I had not heard, I loved as much as the one's I already had.

My favorite songs on the album are (In no particular order):

Heimatlied: Homeland song (I love this song so much that when it started to skip I thought about buying a new copy!)

Wunderbaren Jahren: Wonderful Years - This is an awsome song, Even If you don't speak German that well, you will end up singing along, I did!

Rocket Radio: Duh! A catchy opener, followed by another catchy song.

Fast Wie Von Selbst: This is a hard title for me to translate, but I still love this song.

Novanta Quattro: 94 The Italian Song: Very Catchy! Of course you don't have to speak Italian to enjoy it!

Finally, last but most definently not least Wellenreiten! Argueably the best Sporti song ever! It's a surf rock song. "Kein Augenblick, lass uns wellenreiten gehen": Don't hesitate, lets go waveriding! Sweet!

I now consider Sportfreunde Stiller one of my favorite bands IN ANY LANGUAGE.

awesome album! amazing band!.......2004-10-05

alright listen up. I'm from Canada, these guys have been my favorite band for well over 3 years now, and i dont plan on changing for many years. this is the coolest band, Peter (guitar, vocals) - Flo (drums, minor vocals) and Rüde (bass, keyboard) are awesome people, which make this band a lot better. they're music is wicked, very unique - not like every mainstream name out there. sportfreunde stiller does their own thing. the lyrics are all in german, some people dont like not fully understanding, some people like me dont mind. but i'll let you know that SFS wouldn't be anywhere where they are right now if it wasn't for their writing capabilities.
This is the first of 3 great albums, there is also "Die Gute Seite" and "Burli"....I'm still yet to decide which one is best, but if you wanna hear something, new, great, and unique check out sportfreunde stiller

German Music is good Music.......2004-06-08

This Band is the best german Band in germany, "so wie einst Real Madrid" is the first and the best Album with the second Album "Die gute Seite" .
Burli the new Album is on the third place from me!
The Songs Rocket Radio and Einmal Mond und zurück are the best songs from the Band.
They sing about Love, Sporth and about hers "Heimat(lied)" or hers City Bavaria!
I'm a german Boy and I don't learn Englisch so different.

AWESOME CD.......2004-03-19

Sportfreunde Stiller is the german version of Smashmouth but at least 10 time better!!! This CD really has inspired me. So don't wait to buy this CD! And please, DO NOT download it off the internet. The band really worked hard on this CD and put a lot of benefit into it so don't destroy their work by clicking a couple of buttons. Thanx

Good German Rock ---.......2003-04-02

This is a great band from Germany! A Great Album! I give it three stars only because it's not AMAZING, or ALL TIME GREAT... 4&5 stars are reserved for the COMPLETE cream of the crop. Still, this is the BEST band i've heard out of Germany... Ever... tracks 3 & 5 are my favorites... P.S. if you like nonEnglish music (rock/rap) try: Manau [French] Rap and Zebda [French] a hybrid... ~Andy
