So pra Contrariar is the greatest pagode group right know. Their success is tremendous in Uruguay and Argentina, especially after they recorded the song Santo, with Gloria Estefan.

Once in a great while you hear a song that makes you stop whatever you are doing just so you can enjoy the moment. I heard "cuando acaba el placer" and I felt in love with the video and the song.

The worst thing i ever heard!.......1999-11-09

These guys are really incredible! Alexandre Pires, the singer, is getting worse each day, specially in this awful album. His spanish is terrible! He claims himself to be a samba singer, but what one can listen to in this CD is an american pop-style with disgusting cliches of the Latin America culture. Gloria Estefan did the most stupid thing of her life in participating in this recording. The first track gets on my nerves! I promiss you'll hate them too as soon as you hear this album!

It's a very interesting mix of balad and latin music. If you like the swing of brazilian music you will love it. It's excellent for having a relaxing time or to share it with your partner. Es un Disco muy bueno!

What can one say? This is the album that made me fall in love with So Pra Contrariar. The first song is by far the best, but for an evening of cocktails, conversation and relaxation, there's nothing better than this album.

So Pra Contrariar is a talented group. I bought this CD because of the first song, which was very popular in Puerto Rico. Nevertheless, the whole album is enjoyable to listen to. Alexandre Pires has a beautiful voice. I enjoy the passion with which he sings. I strongly recommend adding this CD to your music collection. Beleive me, you won't regret it.

Smooth samba.......2001-08-11

So Pra Contrariar puts together a smooth collection of low-key but still upbeat samba. I put this cd on when I want to relax and still feel positive and energetic. It's an interesting combination. I keep the cd in my office so that when I get a bit stressed, this music will put me back where I belong: happy and peaceful. A good combination, no matter how you look at it. You don't just get an energetic charge from the music but throughout the 15 songs there's party music, romantic music and about 60 minutes of listening pleasure.

I discovered this group while watching TV in Rio de Janiero. I was taken with the lead singer's obvious physical apperance and the reaction he was getting from the crowd. I thought to myself this guy can't sing he's to beautiful but boy can he sing and write and produce. I can't wait for him to cross over and do something in english. This CD is great. This is already a great group, with great music, but to team them up with some of Brazil's brightest, it is a delicious buffet of music, each song is great, you have no need for the fast forward/skip button. while you here this CD you are transported to a beach with warm blue waters in Brazil, it is great! OBRIGADO SO PRA CONTRARIAR!!!
