Jayashri's regimented initiation into music was under her father's guidance at the age of four. Under the tutelage of Smt. T.R. Balamani, Jayashi took to the path of pursuing her music seriously and added substantively to her repertoire.

A great soulful voice and excellent meditative/contemplative music. A definitive must for both Indian music fans or yogis looking for that little something to tone down before/after practise.

Beyond Pleasure.......2003-10-16

I have listened to this album several hundred times already and each time it captures my heart and soul. I can't get enough of it! It acts as my wake up music and my children's bed time music, my work music...it soothes the mind and soul and brings complete tranquilty and oneness with God. Jayashri has a voice to die for and I hope she shines likes the brightest star in the Indian music world--She already does in mine.
