Toto Cutugno has no equal in Europe or South America. He is in his own league. I have only heard one other singer that comes close to his level and that is Eros Razzotti. When he sings Voglio Andare a Vivere in Campagna it feels if you are there and can smell the air. It's amazing that so many people love his music even if they cannot understand it. I understand the language and it makes it that much more enjoyable. Many verses do not translate into the same feeling in English.

The perfect ablum. Think White Album, Revolver, Born in the USA and Slippery When Wet. This one belongs in that class. Cutugno touches all emotions with humor and a delicate artistry of words and music. I could be Debi!! I could also be the woman he sings to in Amanti. Voglio Andare a Vivere in Campangna (the song) is filled with imagery that makes the listener actually see the Festa in the Piazza! You don't need to understand italian to understand this fabulous CD.
