5 out of 5 stars Lost Classic.......2007-05-16

This album and Plight of the Redamn are two brilliant pieces of music with powerful lyrics the type of albums that you feel sorry when they have finished.

5 out of 5 stars Messages Still Needed Today Reaching New Audiences.......2006-02-02

As a young adult Apache this whole album hits a bulls-eye for me! I wasn't around to hear this music in the 70's and just heard it a few years ago for the first time. But I can't get enough of it!!

Living in the belagaana world can sometimes leave me feeling lost, confused, conflicted...but when I listen to this CD I am recharged with power to be true to my heritage and BE PROUD OF IT.

The use of traditional lyrics, melodical lines, drums fused with a solid rock style is geniusly blended! Tommy Bee and all the Xit gang have perfectly composed and performed this music that now speaks to a whole new generation in a whole new way.

You'll find this CD an instant favorite! A definitive "Must Buy"!

5 out of 5 stars back in the day.......2004-11-10

I was 10 years old when I heard this album in 1974. In the 70's pollution and abuses of all sorts were brought into the public forum. This album reached inside me and made me feel the plight of the Earth and the people on the Earth. I remember wanting to save the world after listening to this album. It reached me on a very personal level at the age of 10 and it still sings to me at 40.

5 out of 5 stars Album Rocks!.......2004-07-13

I received this today and immediately listened to it, and, was reminded of my rebellious youth and the things I hoped to change as a young, angry teenage Navajo/Hopi living on a reservation in Arizona. The music stills sounds great! I am 30+ years older now and still hear the message in XIT's songs. This music was important to us at the time and, I believe, still is today.

5 out of 5 stars From an old rock head.......2001-04-14

All of xits songs are important and intelligent. They tell the truth of native culture, then and now. To explore contempary native music, you owe it to yourself to listen to them. Even children can listen because there is no foul words and no demands for violence. There is anger and and a honest voice seaching for action. They are simply asking each person to look at the plight of their respected nations and take a stand on prtecting the past, present and future generations. Simply, one of the best rock bands ever. They should be in the rock n roll hall of fame. They changed native music for the better, and forever. Thankfully!
