So much has been written about Sergio Endrigo that any praise that I might add is redundant.However, I will go ahead and say that I rank only Fabrizio De André slightly above him in the pantheon of Italian poet/songwriter/singers. In fact, I think his voice is more expressive and richer than De André's. This is an excellent collection of Endrgio's early hits. I am not that familiar with the chronology of his releases but I was puzzled by the omission of Via Broletto 34 and Aria di Neve since they appear on his 1970 Milan concert recording entitled "L'Arca di Noe." (An essential CD if you don't have it.) Maybe these songs did not appear in the 45 format, which is the basis of this collection. Nevertheless, this is a must buy.
