The title track, cowritten by frontman Tom Landa and Anette Ducharme, sums up the band's strengths neatly and deserves to be heard. Molinos.......2005-11-03

This CD also has a strong Celtic feel, but it has more of an accessible pop/rock feel than the first Paperboys CD, Late As Usual. This is a great CD to listen to when working out, dancing, etc. Favorite tracks include Molinos, Waste Some Time, Crashing Down, While You Were Sleeping, After the First Time, and Oh Maria. Most of the songs on this CD were written by lead singer/guitarist Tom Landa, who is blessed with a gorgeous tenor voice.

Beware!!!!!.......2003-08-16

If you decide to buy this CD, be forewarned...you will want to listen to it over and over and over! I would have bought the whole CD just for the title song, but the rest of the music is fabulous as well. The Paperboys deliver!!

Killer Celtic Music.......2003-03-29

I first heard this band almost five years ago and fell in love with them immediately. After having had the opportunity to hang out with the whole band after several of their shows, I love them even more. They're clever, friendly, and immensely talented. This is one of my all time favorite albums.

One of my favorites.......2002-11-04

On a CD shelf that routinely includes Midnight Oil, Red Clay Ramblers, Manu Chao, New Grass Revival, Eiffel 65 and La Bottine Souriante, "Molinos" and the Paperboys get more than their share of time in the player. Great rollicking rhythms, interestring lyrics and some of the same cross-cultural influence that makes those other acts great, too.

Great Music From Great People.......2002-10-10

In the past decade i have had a chance to see and know this band. I 1st heard them in Portland, OR where they played a small venue and I immediately bought their CD (Late as Usual). Then as the years passed, my friends and I saw them more and one of my friends hired them to be at their wedding. I shared a table with the band and can say that each of them is a unique piece to their puzzle. Just plain makes me feel good to know that there are these creative people alive. Uplifting, dance-able, introspective, and very authentic in their jigs & reels. They have 3 CD's out now and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Almost an unplugged, but very poor sound quality........2006-08-08

Los Tipitos used to make two shows per night on the streets of Villa Gesell, like street artist. They used to sell their album themselves, 'cause they hadn't got any label to support them. "Contra los molinos" is the result of those show, though is recorded on a show in a Buenos Aires' bar. Some guy at the bar recorded the show, and send it to the band and they decided to make this cd.
That's probably one of the reasons of its poor sound quality. Other may be that they used at the show their "street drum kit" (an improvised drum, with mini splash and tambourines) and the acoustic bass.
But let's go to the content: there's a great version of Green Day's "Basket Case", but with a (not so) little arrengement, 'cause instead of punk they made it with an argentinean folklore rythm. Also there is a cover of The Police's "Synchronicity II" and a great version of Piazzolla's "Fuga Y Misterio". The show ends with three pure acoustic versions of songs that would appear on their next record.
Overall, this is not a bad album. But it doesn't compare with any of their studio recordings. It's just a souvenir to those who had the chance to see them on the Gesell's nights.
