Encore une victoire de Coucou !
Tsukasa Hojo, grand dessinateur des mangas de notre enfance comme Cat's eye dévoile les bas fonds de l'un de nos héros préférés, Nicky Larson alias City Hunter comme vous ne les avez jamais vus ! le dessin n'est pas encore tout à fait mûr mais on se laisse surprendre par des gags récurrents grâce à des expressions de visages toujours différentes. Pour pleurer de rire mais aussi rester suspendu devant un général tellement plus impressionnant que dans nos souvenirs du dessin animé ! A tout ceux qui sont nostalgiques mais aussi ceux qui aiment se rincer l'oeil gentillement !

Parrotheads Must Have CD Set.......2007-07-13 If you are even mildly enamored with Jimmie Buffet and his music, this is a must have. All of his hits and some live performances are on this 2 CD set.
typical island music.......2007-06-27 After visiting south Florida and the Keys on several occasions. I heard some of his music whilst there. Bought the cd hoping that it would take me back there whilst being in rainy cold england. It does! Job done. It takes you to sandy beaches, blue skys and laid back bars. Some tracks are a bit cheesy but typical of the sort of music you hear down there.Turn your heating up, grab a beer, close your eyes, put this album on and your almost there.Almost!!

Great music!.......2007-03-25 Bought this cd for my brother-in-law for Christmas, and he says it is wonderful. All the songs from over the years, he just loves it.
It's Jimmy Buffett, what else could you ask for?.......2007-03-19 This album is a collection of some of the best stuff Jimmy Buffett has recorded. It's a blend of old and new. Many of the songs are like old friends that you always like to spend time with and although some of the songs are newer, they fit right in with your circle of friends.
I highly recommend this album to anyone who enjoys slipping away to Margaritaville for a little while. It's music that crosses the generation gap. I'm in my 40's, my parents are in their mid - 60's and my daughter is a teenager, and we all enjoy Jimmy Buffett. If you purchase this album, you won't be disappointed.

Great Band.......2007-04-14 Here is a band that had alot of hits.This is a good collection of their songs.My favorite tunes from this band are You Really Got Me and All Day and All of the Night.Another huge hit from this band was Lola.
The Davies brothers, along with drummer Mick Avory and bassist Peter Quaife, produced a number of hits.

Quintessential Kinks.......2007-01-30 Great collection that covers a wide spectrum of Kinks material. Sound quality is great. A must for those looking to add The Kinks to their collection.
They Really Got Me!.......2007-01-23 Okay, I remember the British Invasion. This is one of those cd's you can either listen to in context of the times or as a great primer for the rest of their stuff. I've found myself listening to it repeatedly and I can still pretty much tell you where I was when the Ray and Dave were kicking out the hits. Like one of the reviewers said, there may be a track or two that I personally would have included but blast it all, this is a primo collection and as long as I can listen to "Waterloo Sunset", I am in paradise! Don't hesitate to pick this collection up! It doesn't get much better than this!
KInks The ultimate collection.......2007-01-12 there can really never be an ultimate collection for the kinks.
Because it would have to include everything they ever did.
But, in the mean time Enjoy this collection they put togethere.
Possibly the best collection of any band.......2006-12-16 While hard core fans might find a favorite track or two missing, I, as a casual fan, can't think of a single worthy song that does not appear on this double disc set. There are even a couple great songs that I had never heard before. The Ultimate Collection covers the entire career of the band, with a couple solo numbers by Dave Davies thrown in for good measure.
Whoever put this set together deserves congratulations.

A brave effort at cramming one disc full of Temptations classics, The Ultimate Collection nevertheless makes a couple of puzzling choices. Why, for instance, include "Error of Our Ways," a very minor mid-'90s hit, and ignore "Beauty Is Only Skin Deep" or "I Could Never Love Another (After Loving You)," both number ones from their classic period? Sound is not as good as I had hoped for, but it has everything I wanted on it.......2007-07-05 I dislike any title "Ultimate" because ultimate really is in the ear of the listener, but this CD had everything I wanted from the Temptations on it. It only lost one star because it's touchy working in my MacIntosh and the sound quality in general is not as good as I hoped for.
Poor .......2007-06-01 I'm only a passing fan of The Temps, but wanted at least a "Greatest Hits" CD in my collection so they would have some representation.
While (most) of the songs I know and like are on the disc, the sound quality is abysmal... unless you want to hear it like it was on that mono transister radio you had back in 1971. As far as I can tell, there was no remastering done whatsoever. A disappointment.
hearing is believing.......2007-05-12 customers lose faith in vendors when they deliver defective merchandise. The CD would not perform in any player used. Vendors must earn a customer's trust by supplying reliable quality in the first place or standing up with ready replacements when they don't. This vendor did neither.
Oldies But Goodies.......2007-01-09 This CD is awesome! It contains most of their hit songs from back in the day! I recommend this CD to anyone who likes The Temptations.

te Four Tops.......2007-05-26 Another great Motown classic! This includes all of their hits and then some.
Let's Cruise the Boulevard!!!.......2007-03-12 Wonderful CD. Probably the greatest Motown groups ever. Great lyrics and expressions of love. My 23 yr old son even liked it. I'm surprised more current day artists havent redone some of these classics. Made me want to go cruise Bellflower Blvd in a 63 Chevy low-rider!!
Sound quality deserves something better... Good compilation anyway!.......2007-03-06 No Soul fan can say he/she has heard the best of Soul, without having this good compilation of Four Tops greatest hits. "Reach Out I'll be There", "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" and other great hits from this excellent vocal group are included.
One of Motowns Best-Ever Groups!.......2006-05-02 The Four Tops were formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1953 though they never really struck lucky until they signed to Berry Gordys pioneering all-black record label, Tamla Motown Records, home to many legendary soul acts including Diana Ross, The Supremes, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Martha Reeves And The Vandellas, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Marvelettes and many, many more.
The Four Tops were just simply a KNOCKOUT! Lead singer Levi Stubbs rocketing vocal delivery was capable of such impressive, immense power and volume and were one of Motowns best male acts during the companys heyday in the swinging sixties.
The Four Tops, like Diana Ross and the Supremes, enjoyed an extensive and dynamic collaboration with the genius songwriting and production trio, Holland-Dozier-Holland. Holland-Dozier-Holland helped put Motown Records on the map by creating and defining that classic Motown sound of the 60's along with the legendary muscian team known as The Funk Brothers. The Four Tops enjoyed a river of classics through the duration of the 1960's with the most magical of these offerings recorded under the guidance of Holland-Dozier-Holland.
I Can't Help Myself, one of The Four Tops signature tunes, contained a hooky melody and lyrics that could appeal to both the spirited and the saccharine. Levi Stubbs inimitable and persuasive voice on this classic is just pure SOUL! I Can't Help Myself shot up the charts landing at No.1.
The follow up to I Can't Help Myself, the appropriately titled It's The Same Old Song admitedly lacked the initial immediacy of that track but still holds its own individual merits and became another classic to their credit.
In 1966 The Four Tops literally exploded onto the charts with the far more adventurous and highly ambitious Reach Out I'll Be There. Reach Out I'll Be There was haunting and atmospheric in its tone. Levi Stubbs puts in another phenomenal, breathtaking performance with his grittily earthy, soulful delivery seamlessly surfboarding along the tidal wave of musical arrangements that consists of flutes, oboes and tambourines. It also delivered The Four Tops their first real taste of big chart success in the U.K. In the U.S Reach Out I'll Be There became their second chart topper.
The Four Tops music was always dramatically orchestrated that lands somewhere between soul,r&b and pop. Their staggeringly impressive run of hits continued with the magnificent Standing In The Shadows Of Love where there diverse and unique blend of harmonies gel remarkably well together which adds to its dazzling, magical effect.
Bernadatte was yet another infectious classic with its masterpiece musical production and astounding delivery from Levi Stubbs but there is a far darker and more atmospheric mood on the chilly and haunting 7 Rooms Of Gloom. Stubbs' whips along the verses with utter conviction that's literally spine-tingling across the rollercoaster and stark musical arrangements.
Holland-Dozier-Holland swiftly left Motown Records in early 1968 after a bitter dispute over back royalty payments with Motown boss Berry Gordy (many of Motowns stars subsequently sued the company years later for claims of unpaid record royalties). The Motown sound was slowly dissolving after their departure and was virtually extinct by the early 70's following Motowns headquarters move from downtown Detroit to swinging L.A. As a result The Four Tops chart-action became erratic.
They did still manage to come up with some winners. Their divine, unique cover of The Left Bankes' Walk Away Renee, which is arguably far more effective than the origanal and mereley conveyed Levi Stubbs versatile vocal approach. Walk Away Renee commendably proved that Stubbs' unforgetable voice could be just as effective when working on ballads. Walk Away Renee may have been sombre in its tone though still had a touching quality.
Another excellent ballad from The Four Tops that emerged in the late 60's was another atmospheric number, Still Waters Run. This classic hit was a remarkably exhilirating masterpiece featuring an exuberant performance from Stubbs. Still Waters Run also captures Stubbs' at perharps his smoochiest.
It's All In The Game and If I Were A Carpenter both encapsulate that swinging Motown sound and both are of significant value to this collection. However by the early 70's their once unstoppable momentum was now sadly beginning to wear thin. The Four Tops fled from Motown Records in the early 70s and had a number of record deals that didn't amount to too much and gradually they faded from view (though enjoyed a few minor revivals in the 1980's).
To this day The Four Tops continue to sporadically perform on the customary golden oldies circuit but its their glorious, golden 1960's era for what they will always be remembered for. This compilation titled The Ultimate Collection guides you through these fabulous, ground-breaking classics and capture the group at their prime. The Four Tops - The Ultimate Collection is ESSENTIAL to any serious soul music collection!
You get what you pay for!.......2005-09-24 Great group, great cd, great value. This Cd has all the hits, its a must buy.

OK cd but not exactly what I was looking for.......2007-07-13 I wanted a really upbeat mix from the 60s and even though the songs on this cd aren't bad, most of them are slower which wasn't what I was looking for for myself.
the ultimate rock and roll collection of the 50's.......2007-05-15 A very good mix of songs and artists. Good to listen while travelling.

If you're a Michael McDonald fan............2007-06-26
There are a few "BEST OF MICHAEL MCDONALD" CDs out there, but if I were to choose just one of his "Greatest hits Albums", then this CD would be the one. This CD is recorded beautifully and Michael's voice comes through smoothly. The songs are his best known hits,--- all mixed wonderfully.
a must-have collection.......2007-05-14 I've been a fan of Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers for years, but have resisted buying CDs because I really only *love* 2 or 3 songs off each album. I'd just about resigned myself to buying the MP3s and burning my own disk when I stumbled across this album. This collection is really the best of the best, including McDonald's earliest songs with the Doobies (all the ones you wanted!) all the way up to his latest solo releases. I even discovered a few new favorites from his solo years. Album notes are great, with stories from McDonald about how he came to write each song, and what collaborations with Patti LaBelle, James Ingram, and Carly Simon were like. If you're only going to own one album, this is the one.
The Ultimate Collection.......2006-11-06 Michael McDonald is, and always has been great to listen to. Driving in your car, out for the evening, or with someone you love, he's my choice.
Excellent sampler of both the Doobie Bros and Solo careers!.......2006-09-20 This 2005 "Ultimate Collection" is true to it's word in the fact that it compiles two worlds onto one great CD: One is Michael McDonald's solo material and other other his former band that he was lead singer of The Doobie brothers in the 1970s. This isn't a replacement of McDonald's solo 'best of' CD "The Very Best of" from a few years before. Many of the most well-known songs from McDonald and crew appear on here including a track from his most recent release "Motown Two" and a bizarre remix of "Open The Door" from his "Blue Obsession" CD. At 77 minutes, this is a very good investment in introducing someone to his music.
Love It.......2006-09-01 I bought this because the everyone kept saying that Taylor Hicks was a new Michael McDonald and then they talk about his DVD on "40-year old virgin". It's funny how different forms of media link together. In this case, it was a good thing because I love this CD and the cover. Michael McDonald sure is a silver fox!
