A few years ago a friend shared a song of Elisa's with me during a really difficult time and I loved it. Recently I was watching one of my favorite shows "Dancing with the Stars" and one of the girls was auditioning to Elisa's song "Rock Your Soul" and of course they didn't name the song so I had to go by the lyrics and then try to find it. I was so excited to find the song as well as finding out it was the same person that my friend had shared and the same CD so I ended up purchasing it.

I can't get enough of this girl. Every album, every track, every lyric is an innovation, a fresh breath for such a suffering music world.

Memorable beautiful tracks such as Raibow, Heaven out of Hell, Dancing, Rock your soul, It is what it is make this album special and precious, as they reflect a glimmer of hope that music is not quite dead yet.

If you are not familiar with Elisa's work buy this album without second thought, and soon you'll find yourself collecting everything she has ever released. This girl has indeed a genuine rock soul, charming voice, she writes her own lyrics and music, and her talent is not for sale.

All I can say is the album is Inspiring. My most favorite song that I been listening ever since I was in Italy in 2004 is "Rainbow" kinda like a Power Ballad, but its remarkable. I recommend buying this album.

Shocking.......2006-01-27

This CD is amazing. If you prefer music stylists who have beautiful vocals then this is the cd for you. It completely blew me away. I love every single one of the songs. Elisa sings them with such emotion and grace that you can really feel the meaning of each song. My favorites were "Heaven out of Hell", "Rock your Soul, "Fever", and "It is What is".

Elisa is one of the most talented singers/song writers/musicians of her generation. "Then Comes the Sun" doesn't fail to deliver truly heart-moving and thought provoking songs - all of them are just beautiful. If I were to choose some of the best European artists that deserve an international career, Elisa would be at the top of my list. Just let her rock your soul!

This is a pleasant album with a nice variety of songs some of which I have not previously encountered. Drew Minter's voice is correct in every way; that is: nice tone quality, accurate pitch and excellent diction. BUT there is no excitement to be had; there is no emotion to latch onto. He sings "O Solitude" just the same as he sings "Crown the Altar" which contain totally different meanings. His best renditions are: "Lord, What is Man" and "Be Welcome then,Great Sir". The only thing I detect that conveys some sense of drama are changes in volume. These songs can be very meaningful when the performer takes note of the song's message.The accompanying instruments are excellent and the album is worth buying if you are "hooked on" Purcell.
