Introspective moods.......2005-09-01

This record is like an onion, several layers of different textures full of musical flavor. You hear it for the first time and it sounds just nice, then you hear it a second time and it sounds much better, then each time you hear it again you'll find a new texture, a new color, a new feeling on Sara's voice or on a particular instrument performed by a great group of tremendous musicians. The voice and the music is so well balanced that it take time to notice that under the appearance of simplicity, lies virtuosism in the players and a refreshing and colorful voice. It is a cd that could take you to such a pleasant mood that you should try it just for that.

Good for Sara's debut as solist!

Fantastic solo debut.......2005-07-28

I picked this album up after hearing that La Dosis frontwoman Sara Valenzuela was coming out with a solo album, and was not disappointed. Fans of Julieta Venegas, Suzanne Vega, or Ely Guerra will definitely appreciate Sara's poetic voice.

And the music is stellar too - my hero Marc Ribot is a guest on the album. Definitely worth the price of admission.

A voice that gets in your bones!!!.......2001-06-27

One of the best CDs of Baglietto, if not the best. The selection of songs is excellent. Classic tango songs like "El día que me quieras" and "Cafetín de Buenos Aires" take a new life when he sings them. He puts his personal style voice and passion in Argentinian folk songs like "Tonada del viejo amor" and specially "Piedra y camino" from Atahualpa Yupanqui. His, is the best version of Piedra y Camino I ever eared. It gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. The music by Lito Vitale is a perfect match to his voice.

Este es uno de los mejores CDs de Baglietto. Baglietto crece y mejora de un CD a otro. No se queda. Prueba cosas nuevas y les "pega" su estilo a las canciones clásicas. La selección de los temas es excellente. Hasta Gardel estaría orgulloso de escucharlo cantar "El día que me quieras". No he escuchado a nadie que ponga tanta pasión como cuando lo escucho cantar "Piedra y Camino". Baglietto tiene una voz que pone "la piel de gallina". Les recomiendo muy especialmente el concierto "15 Años" La orquestación de Lito Vitale es la perfecta companía para su voz.
