Was lucky enough to go to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany during 2006 and wanted to bring a little piece of Oktoberfest (Music) home with me.

Could not find what I was looking for in Germany so I came home and ordered the Oktoberfest music from Amazon.

Not Entirely Oktoberfest Music But Still Outstanding.......2006-04-20

As manager of "The Oktoberfest Webring," I am always in search of good Oktoberfest music. This particular product consists of two CD's, "Oktoberfest in Germany," and "Folksongs From Bavaria." The former is an excellent collection of typical Oktoberfest numbers. The latter is an outstandng collection of Bavarian folk songs--but it is really stretching it to call all but six or seven of them Oktoberfest numbers. In any case, both CD's are of superb sound quality, very well executed, and provide a very pleasant listening experience.

Simply Wonderful.... Thank You NPR!.......2006-11-30

I was looking for some multi-cultural music for our holiday dinner parties... then I heard about this childrens choir on NPR, and so I decided to look it up. This album fits the bill perfectly!

It has a nice mix of traditional classics & fun contemporary songs. Many of these songs are easily recognizable to the American ear (except that they are sung in German), and many will be new to most Americans. But they are definately reminiscent of the few years I lived in Germany, and heard the Christmas carols in the neighborhoods & churches. Germany is truly magical at Christmas time, as many of our Western traditions actually begun there.

And the talent in this world-reknown childrens choir is just unbelievable. I had actually never heard of this choir before, but apparently they are more popular in Europe than the tabernacle choir is in the U.S.

I give this 5 full stars.
