Since Hi, How Are You Today was released in 1995 selling half a million copies worldwide, including a Triple Platinum Canadian certification, stories about Ashley MacIsaac have been told and re-told so many times that its impossible to tell the factual from the fictional. He has remained at the forefront of the Canadian psyche, recording and touring all over Canada, Europe, the US and Australia. Earlier this year Linus Entertainment signed Ashley for the world, and is digitally re-mastering and re-issuing his catalogue, prior to releasing a new studio album in early 2005. Currently on tour with Philip Glass.

Keep American Hi-5 Alive!.......2007-07-18
It is urgent that we let Discovery and Kids Like Us (KLU), Hi-5's producers, know that we do NOT support their decision to stop producing new "Hi-5" episodes. Time is of the essence because if no new episodes are produced soon, there will be no reason for Discovery to keep our talented cast, Curtis, Jenn, Kimee, and newest members Sydney and Yasmeen. That's right -- there will be no more Hi-5 for TV, tours, appearances, charitable work, or anything else!
Information We Need to Emphasize to Discovery and KLU
*Hi-5 merchandise is currently one of the "Top 10 Brands" at Ty's Toy Box, a key internet retailer;
*The current "Hi-5 Live" tour has been filling up arenas across Canada and the U.S.;
*The $100 VIP packages for the tour have been completely selling out; and
*Hi-5 fans across Latin America are now eagerly requesting that Hi-5 will come to tour in their countries, too.
Hi-5 fans must let Discovery recognize that they will lose this entire revenue stream, as well as our support, patience, and goodwill, if they do not make new episodes to be televised within the next year.
We also need to let Discovery realize that the current 70 episodes, which are shown on 3-month cycles on TV, aren't enough to satisfy Hi-5's unique audience. Hi-5 fans include children, parents, teens, and young adults -- how many other TV shows can deliver that kind of fanbase? Hi-5 is a unique product and does not fit into the mold of a typical children's TV show, and we need to let Discovery know that before it's too late!
Just for your kids.......2007-07-12
I really recommend this CD for your kids. You won't regret it.

Eclectic and groovy........2007-07-27
Antoine, who lives in Spain, used mostly local musicians for this CD, named the CD "Hi-Lo Split" for a style of poker that he learned from a group of American friends who had a regular poker night.
It is a unique set, with new compositions and his cover of one favourite 40 years old hit , "Spooky", which blends his classical training with a multi-cultural urban rhythms.
The result is an eclectic, funky album that has many interesting moments from the opening delicate track "For a Smle", inspired by his son, to the stirring title track and "Bossalectro", Marc's hommage to bossa nova inventor Joao Gilberto.
"Hi-Lo Split" , his eighth full length release ( his first for Peak Records) is a lovely listen that is ideal for that 'one special night'.
Just sit back and let the music wash away the worries of the day.
Recommended, and not just one for guitar buffs.

Danish group Aqua arrived on the international pop scene in 1997 with their multimillion-selling smash single "Barbie Girl." Developing a formula pioneered by their successful Swedish rivals Ace of Base and Whigfield, the band demonstrated on this album that they were more than just one-hit wonders (at least in markets outside America). Skillfully crafted for instant, easily digestible consumption, Aquarium is equally entertaining at the club or at home. It's jammed full of bubblegum pop classics, ranging from the Eurodisco opening track "Happy Girls & Boys" to the Madonna-esque ballad "Turn Back Time." A treat for all pop lovers, it is an album that will both entertain and surprise. --John GalileeAlbum Description

Amazon.com's Best of 2000
Talib Kweli is probably the only MC who could do justice to "For Women," Nina Simone's righteous, ragged battle cry, and he does so with his cover on Reflection Eternal. That cut illustrates this album's timeless quality, its personal poeticism, and its strength. Kweli's lyrical skills have only improved over time, approaching the stuff of legend. And producer Hi-Tek's supple grooves balance the wordcraft perfectly. --Lizz Mendez BerryAmazon.com
Silencing any suggestions that he's any less capable than his more high-profile Black Star partner Mos Def, Talib Kweli, along with DJ Hi-Tek, crafts a masterful debut with Reflection Eternal. Like Mos, Kweli displays an impressive range of styles and sensibilities--whether popping party lyrics on "Move Something," reflecting on the mysteries of the heart for "Love," or musing on hip-hop's death and rebirth for "Good Mourning." In comparison to Mos Def's status as a new funk soul brother, Kweli's more of a b-boy bookworm--erudite and articulate, but he can also let fly with fire and spark on the mic anytime. DJ Hi-Tek finally gets to show off his full range of production ability with a blend of hot, aggressive tracks ("Blast") and relaxed groovers ("Memories"). As good a debut as you could ask for. --Oliver WangCustomer Reviews:
Talib Kweli and Hi Teck Makes You Want To "Move Somethin" (Rating: 10 out of 10- -5 stars).......2007-01-31
There is not much I can say that already hasn't been said, seeing the average rating is at it's max. As I mentioned before, Kweli's rhymes are superior to hear. Being as young as I was at the time this dropped (around 14 or 15), trust me, I've never heard someone rhyme like that before. A perfect example where Kweli runs free on the mic is the song "Some Kind Of Wonderful". Another track that stood out was "The Blast" where even Hi Teck spits a verse that is also dope (the video had Talib doing two verses, but that is not on here. I'm kinda mad, since this is reissued).
Guest appearances are dope as well. My favorite would be Xzibit and Rah Digga popping up for the song "Down For The Count". Another would be the De La Soul contributed verses in "Soul Rebels". Production is also excellent by Hi Teck. Some of the song here are kind of laid back to listen to, but you can easily catch a vibe towards them.
"Reflection Eternal" (or "Train Of Thought" to some people) is one album that I can enjoy on many levels again and again. I remember listening to this album back in high school, and only a hand full of people knew who these guys were. If you ever get a chance, pick this us. The production on here is soothing and can clear your mind. If you are not familiar with Kweli, you might want to check out "Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star". I just found out Hi Teck was in a group called Mood back in '97 and will listen to that as well. Arguably one of the best that came out of Rawkus. Word up.

Reflection Eternal/Train of Thought: Best CD you've never heard of.......2006-12-20
Both Talib and Hi-Tek display impressive versatility in their respective trades, starting the CD with a party track like "Move Something," then moving to songs like "Memories Live," and "Love Language". You see Hi-Tek's jazz influence in songs like "Love Speakeasy," and "Good Mourning,". I also love the Nina Simone samples. The bonus track "For/Four Women," is a song which chronicles the trials and tribulations of Black Women since they arrived to this country centuries ago. Finally, on a personal note, "The Blast" is my favorite song in the whole wide world. Not saying you should care, but that tells you how I feel about this CD. I will listen to this when I'm 50 years old and I have no doubt about that.
That being said, it absolutely KILLS me that Kweli later comes out with LPs like "Quality" and "Beautiful Struggle," and gets very few to no tracks from Hi-Tek. It boggles my mind. When you look at the results of Reflection Eternal/Train of Thought and Blackstar, it becomes clear that the duo makes great and refreshingly intelligent music. In today's rap climate, that is clearly not the norm. I don't have an afro and I don't wear Cowrie shells or dashikis, but yes, it is great to hear rap music of some substance, celebrating black music and black people. I still treasure my copies of Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic and Life After Death, but this one's also in my special CD case...
The CD is a blast.......2006-10-09
1 The Blast
2 move somthin
3 Down for the Count
4 Good Mourning
5 Eternalists
Very impressive........2006-09-01
Another note-worthy song is "Name of the Game". An amazing piano sample plays in the backround, and Talib's crazy MC skills are practically jaw-dropping:
"'The name of the game is..'
Persistance, dedication
Consistant motivation
Resistance to stagnation of information
Distribute it free to the entire population
No hesitation
Makin it public
No privitazation from corporations"
Genius!! Seriously, no true hip-hop collection is complete without this gem. "RE/TOT" is sure to be remembered for years to come.
Brought a tear to my eye!.......2006-05-31

Sad, Really Sad.......2007-05-13
*It's just Boring*
The ensemble doesn't have the energy one would expect to play "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Man with the Golden Arm". I think the City of Prague and National Youth Jazz Orchestras were bargain orchestras used to make an inexpensive CD set of one of my favorite film composers. The conducting and arrangements were what made this an obviously bad album.
An excellent movie themes antology by ELMER BERNSTEIN.......2007-05-10
Played the The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, and conducted by his one time assistant James Fitzpatrick
Recorded in HDCD and Dolby Surround
Excellent.......2007-04-22
With regards to this silva set, these recordings range back to 1994, with Sons of Katie Elder and True Grit being recorded for a John Wayne CD and Bridge At Remagen for a CD of classic War themes. The Great Escape was also recorded for that CD, but producer James Fitzpatrick opted to record a new arrangement (same with Magnificent Seven). In '97, The Buccaneer for included on a Swashbucklers disc, while Heavy Metal was on the popular 'Space and Beyond' compilation. In '98, the world premiere recording of Airplane first appeared on a DISASTERS film disc. So while it may technically be the world premiere RECORDING it certainly is not the world premiere CD RELEASE of that recording. Ghostbusters was included on Space 3: Beyond the Final Frontier, the second followup to the popular 'Space and Beyond'. Fast forward to 2002 and 4 recordings first appeared on WAY OUT WEST: ESSENTIAL WESTERN FILM MUSIC COLLECTION VOLUME TWO, those being The Comancheros, The Hallelujah Trail, The Scalphunters and The Shootist. Man With the Golden Arm and Walk on the Wild are from Silva's JAZZ IN FILM cd.
The remaining tracks were all newly recorded for this release. They are of course the strongest tracks, seeing as the City of Prague Philharmonic has improved over time. I do wonder though why they did not include the older arrangements of Great Escape and Mag. Seven as bonus tracks.
I also recommend the simultaneously released '40 years of Film Music: Jerry Goldsmith' for another great set honoring a late great film composer.
Great Film Music.......2007-03-09

5 Stars to the Guy in the Corner.......2006-11-16
If you've listened to more recent albums from this duo you've probably become addicted to the seductive vocals and modest choruses that become addictive over time. Not so here...Instead this album produces easy beats, slow constructions of tracks, and mellow dramatic tones that seem to open doors to trance and highly reflective states. In other words, great background music that can also be enjoyed with a little concentration.
For myself, this album brings back the nostalgia of the North Shore and the smell of pineapples. Just the whole mood of strolling by palm trees with the Pacific in the background seemed to compliment this music to an even higher state...which I'm thankful to still remember.
Give this guy in the corner a try...you might be impressed.

side one rules.......2007-05-25
"Take It On the Run" is a pretty strange song the way the vocal melody almost sounds like it's overlapping. "Heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who". It's not, though. "Don't Let Him Go" is my pick for favorite song. Great, speedy rocker with very good vocals. In fact, the guitar playing throughout the album is a highlight for me, seeing as how it's melodic most of the time. I find it funny how so many people make fun of this band for being cheesy, and yet, the guitar playing is almost heavy metal-like.
Unfortunately side two features a few short rockers that apparently the band thought would be worth putting on the record. These rockers are almost like an updated version of 50's rockers. They're okay, but nothing memorable about them worth giving a second notice to.
Overall, it's a good listen, for a pretty good band.

REO SPEEDWAGON DOES IT AGAIN BY RELEASING ANOTHER ONE OF ROCK'S ALL-TIME GREATEST ALBUMS EVER........2007-04-26
REO SPEEDWAGON will forever go down in Rock n' Roll history and be remembered for writing and recording some of Rock's all-time greatest sacred classic anthems ever that would contribute and change 70's Rock n' Roll music and beyond. Due to the many personnel changes that has taken place throughout the band's history, I will only focus on the band members that were together during the 1978-1988 period. These same bandmembers during this period were also involved in the writing and recording of this legendary album that I'm about to review for you today. When original REO SPEEDWAGON bandmembers, keyboardist Neal Doughty and drummer Alan Gratzer met up and recruited new REO SPEEDWAGON lead vocalist and frontman Kevin Cronin, lead guitarist Gary Richrath and bassist Bruce Hall, the stage was set and a new improved and modified band line-up would be complete giving REO SPEEDWAGON a new rejuvinated re-birth. REO SPEEDWAGON'S new specific band line-up from the 1978-1988 period would release some of Rock's all-time greatest albums ever. Following the extreme success of their latest album, "NINE LIVES," it was now time for the band to head back into the recording studio and record the follow-up album to the extremely successful "NINE LIVES" album. As time flew by, REO SPEEDWAGON would emerge and come out of the recording studio with the finished and completed acetate and hand in the finished product to Epic Records. Epic Records would later release the album as the legendary masterpiece "HI INFIDELITY" album in 1980. "HI INFIDELITY" would go on to becoming one of the band's greatest accomplishments and achievements ever. In my opinion, "HI INFIDELITY" is without a doubt, a true testament of the pure genius and musical creativity of five extremely talented individuals. "HI INFIDELITY" is also a fine fitting tribute to a great band that was truly indeed, far ahead of their time.
It is now time to let the Rock n' Roll music of REO SPEEDWAGON to speak for itself and back it up by doing all of the talking musically. The legendary "HI INFIDELITY" album begins with the breathtaking drum pounding Rocker "Don't Let Him Go," one of the most beautiful love songs ever written, "Keep On Loving You," the firey hot Rocker "Follow My Heart," the incredible old fashioned Rock n' Roller "In Your Letter," the slow and powerful hard Rocker "Take It On The Run," the blistering a*s kicking hard Rocker "Tough Guys," the amazing Rocker "Out Of Season," the fantastic fast paced Rocker "Shakin' It Loose," the unbelievable energetic Rocker "Someone Tonight" and the slow and beautiful smooth Rocker "I Wish You Were There." May I also add that REO SPEEDWAGON was definitely inspired and in top form while laying down the tracks for this legendary album. Kevin Cronin's blistering lead vocals were hitting their marks perfectly on the dot. Gary Richrath's merciless guitar riffs and licks were taking the music to another level thus complimenting Cronin's firey lead vocals and combining the other bandmembers musical contributions together in perfect harmony.
Overall, this is one great legendary masterpiece album worth checking out and seeking further research and information into especially if you are a hardcore diehard REO SPEEDWAGON fan or a devout music collector. As for all of the curious newcomers and new beginners that are not quite familiar with the sound and music of REO SPEEDWAGON, you might want to research further into one of the many REO SPEEDWAGON greatest hits compilation albums in order to find the album that is right for you to invest your money into. If you still love all of the REO SPEEDWAGON songs that are on their compilation album, then it is in your best interest to purchase as many of the REO SPEEDWAGON albums that you want. Either way you choose, you will have taken a giant step in owning and starting your very own REO SPEEDWAGON music collection. You can do all of your reseaching and album purchases either on Amazon com or at your nearest local Borders Books and Music store. Buy this great album, you'll be glad that you did.
I would like to highly recommend purchasing this legendary masterpiece album to own as a valuable and important part of his or her own personal music collection. This treasure album has already proven to stand the test of time and will always be around to be enjoyed, appreciated and cherished for many years to come, NOW AND FOREVER. This is one great priceless gem that no hardcore music fan or devout music collector would want to be without.
In closing, Epic Records would release the REO SPEEDWAGON "HI INFIDELITY" album to highly critically acclaim. Soon after, The band would quickly embark on a new World Tour in what would be one of their greatest tours ever. Following the tour, REO SPEEDWAGON would record many more great albums. REO SPEEDWAGON would also have their fair shares of ups and downs and highs and lows throughout their career. But that, my fellow readers and reviewers, you will just have to stay tuned and read further about it at a later date in the near future. With this in mind, REO SPEEDWAGON will forever leave their place and mark in Rock n' Roll history and will never be forgotten. So here's to you Kevin, Gary, Bruce, Neal and Alan. Thanks for the great memories with still many more to come. Keep Persevering. Keep The Faith. And as the saying goes, "AND THE REST IS ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY," need I say more? Thanks for reading my review and I truly hope that you have enjoyed reading it as much as I have truly enjoyed writing it for your reading pleasure. I also hope that all of you will read all of my other reviews in the near future when time permits. REO SPEEDWAGON RULES! Long Live Rock n' Roll. Rock out always and take it easy. Forever In rock, John L.

On Aquarium, Aqua were "Barbie Girls"; now they're "Cartoon Heroes." A slight change in context for their second album, but, essentially, it's business as usual. And let's not forget that Aqua do this slapstick kiddie-pop thing with a lot more panache than their shamelessly novelty Euro-goons peers. The relentless zaniness of Aquarius may sometimes be cloying, especially those too-chirpy chipmunk voices on "Cartoon Heroes," but there's no denying that this is a pop group that really lives this pop lark--shaved-headed frontman Rene really does talk in that comedy growl and frontwoman Lene really doesn't wear more than a stretched scrap of PVC whenever she leaves the house. This makes Aquarius quite likeable, actually--especially on the slapstick-trance workout of "Around the World," which even manages to squeeze in a brief geography lesson. --Louis PattisonCustomer Reviews:

If you wanna have some fun, and then, to have some fantastic memories you must have this album!
Not quite as expected........2006-08-07
Still, the songs were relatively good, but they never stood out a whole lot to me. They just seemed distant to me, and they didn't quite pack the punch Aquarium had. Though, I still did like the songs on this CD called "Around the World" and "An Apple a Day". As a bonus, this CD also has the music video for "Cartoon Heroes" on it.

is also a funny contrast, which put`s them together as a whole. Track 3 Freaky Friday, has a fast backbeat rythm, which pushes it more or less headalong in a very fast tempo. Something different this one, with a small dash of country music bit`s and pices here and there. Track 4 We belong to the sea is a great pop song, with more depth to Lene`s and Rene`s voice. It has a melody which is very easy to fetch, and it`s nothing wrong with that. Track 5 An apple a day, it`s a hardtop, fastback, sprint Aqua song, which goes around in a dizzy way. Track 6 Halloween. Aqua goes "horror movie" this time. A creepy opener, but then it fells flat. The rest is to thin to make it scary. There are some weird Rene Dif growls hear and there but it doesn`t help too much. Track 7 Good guys is better and here the right "buttons" when it comes to "hit potensial are put on. There are more debt to Lene`s voice on this one. Track 8 Back from Mars, are in the Sc Fi department. To much cliches, but as Lene has sang before: Life it`s full of cliches. Track 9 Aquarius is the ballad of the CD, and it`s ok, but nothing special. Here voice sounds clear and has some depth and flair on this one. Track 10 Cuba Libre. Aqua does "carriebean" but it ends up as "poor whoman`s ethnic" inspired music.
Track 11. Bumble Bees, it`s a very funky "brainwasher" in a more or less positive sence. Track 12 Goodbye to the circus is a good closer, with a "circus touch" musical whise. Aqua. Plain and simpel dance music, with many times an ear for the good and effective beat and melodies. Aqua is anyway something different, a little bit over average in their genre of music. 3 1/2 star, well somewhere around there.
