Customer Reviews:
Mid 80's Hardcore.......2002-03-29
I bought this tape when it came out. I haven't listened to it in years. I think it's their best album (most people prefer Horse Bites Dog Cries). The lyrics are just as bad here as they were on previous albums. If I recall correctly, it was produced by Andy Wallace, good or bad, you decide.
Great Longevity!.......2001-12-01
At a time when all the other punk bands of their generation were trying to create a more MTV-friendly sound, DI "stuck to their guns" and altered their sound just a little to create a kind of punk/metal hybrid in the style of the Adolescents 1986 album Brats in Battalions. The formula worked, and DI was about the only band left at this time that was worth listening to, proving that they had the greatest longevity out of any of their peers. Although this album isn't quite as good as their previous albums, Team Goon, Ancient Artifacts, and Horse Bites Dog Cries, it still contains many classic tracks that you could swear had to come out of the early 80's, when punk was in its prime. Also, this is one of those albums that the more you listen to it the more you like it, so don't be put off by the punk/metal sound, you get used to it. Get the previous albums first, then get this one, DI is the best punk band ever to come out of California.

All of D.I.'s music is full of this outrageously uplifting energy, you get this rush of energy that feels so freak'n great running through your bones!!!
