I have a question: where is Purged now? they are cool (all bands associated with Metal Blade are cool). I believe that they are sending a message to Metallica ("stop sucking and start thrashing"). another good band to listen to is the Japanese band United. both bands deliver the goods that Metallica stopped delivering.

Metal thrashing madness.......2004-06-02

This album should appeal to all ppl who like technical thrash metal. The songs are unpredictable enough and the riffs just won't stop hammering your head until you drop. The sound will blow you through the wall (eat your heart out, Colin Richardson!). Not easy to get such a powerful sound on a first record...i wonder how the Aussie lads did it.
Yeah, it's not groundbreaking stuff (bands like Metallica, Slayer or Machine Head have gone this road before, and with better results) and it all starts to sound the same after the 3rd/4th song but, when it's played with such competence...who f**king cares? This is pure headbanging pleasure.

One CD wonder - why not buy it?.......2002-09-06

This disc is decent metal. Not great, but decent. The first few songs grab you, but after abut 5 or six songs overall it becomes kinda droning. It has nice double bass, but it's missing lead guitar freelancing and vocal changes (mix it up a bit!). Still a good disc though. I wondered how they made it sound so good with only one disc out. Most local bands discs sound like local band discs - not this one (kudos to the sound mixer?)

I feel like I've heard this album already fifty times.. although, those were a good fifty times, so i guess thats ok. They dont really break any new ground though - hey sound like Pantera, Anthrax, testament CoC, old Metallica, any other thrash band you can think of. Not bad, but totally generic.
