This ep was the enlightening point for me as to what happened after punk rock went a bit on the way side. The Epitaph/Fat bands where getting on my nerves and this was my refuge. Noisy, loud and a shame that not more people followed in thier footsteps. The highlight of this CD to me is Anvil. For the most part its an instrumental that really is quite fun to play along with yourself. If you are new to this band, this is the release to check out. Im on my third copy of this CD because evidently someone out there likes it too and wants a copy of thier own.
Do yourself a favor and give this a chance. Even now, almost 10 years later I still appreciate the raw and loud sound of one of the most overlooked bands the melded simplicity and catchyness into this nice little package.

This is a great album. It combines elelments of techno, rock, and punk into a strange melodic mixture. Interesting lyrics help immensely, too. Highly recommended for someone sick of todays music scene and looking for something out of the ordinary.

timeless classic.......2005-10-12

If you haven't tuned into dead cowboys' brand of post punk unamericana, do yourself a favor. This album has everything. Moody organ driven ballads, guitar fuelled hellfire stomps and poignantly touching/bleakly ironic lyrics delivered in a perfectly judged torn velvet croon.

A delightful surprise.......2003-05-09

I picked this one up on a whim; the title appealed to me since I am a twin, am writing a book on twins, and have a general fascination with things twinnish. I didn't expect much, but was delighted by Jerling, whom I had never heard of before. Melodic, very good singing and playing, varied pacing, witty and intelligent lyrics, and quite adept at moving between folk, pop, country, with strains of rhythm and blues and dixieland. Maybe five stars is a little high, but I think this guy deserves a much larger audience, and I'm looking forward to picking up some of his more recent things, advertised here and on his inviting website.
