Album Description
Gary is the guitar god whose knack for taking well-known songs and turning them into rock instrumental monsters has made him a rock radio icon. He redefined Christmas music with his "Ho! Ho! Hoey" series, and is now poised to do the same with classic surf tunes as he tears into songs like "Pipeline", "Hawaii Five-O", "Peter Gunn", "Fun, Fun, Fun", "Wipe Out", and many others in ways you've never heard.
Customer Reviews:
Gary Hoey.......2007-01-10
This is almost the best work, but remember the good times.
This disc will be in my collection for ever.
Gary Hoey is a great shredding guitarist........2007-01-06
If you like shredding and surf, this album will be your favorite. Hoey is an exceptionally accurate player (like Satch and Vai), but throws new life and power into old standards like Surfin' USA or California Dreaming. His version of Wipeout using power chords is worth the price of the whole album.
hoey rips, with great melody...........2006-02-22
...hoey's covers are done with alot of energy and melody. In some cases he makes these songs his own. there are also about three original tunes which jive real well with the rest of the other rock guitar performances. excellent driving music or just sitting at home listening to power metal, rock, of even some pop.
You've gotta be kidding me..........2005-11-12
First off, let me state that I think Gary Hoey is a fabulous guitarist. Which is why I rate this CD with one star. Most of the songs are covers, and of that, some are re-hashes from other CDs. Come on Gary, give us a disc of originals. You don't see Satch or Vai spewing out other players materials, at least not pre-dominantly.
Gary goes Coastal and it Rocks!.......2005-09-06
I've always been a huge Gary Hoey fan, so when I found out he was not only releasing a new album (though he's done a couple of the songs before, like "Wipe out"), but a surf album, I was ecstatic! I could tell from the track listing before I even bought it that this album was going to be great. I definitely wasn't dissapointed. Gary adds a rockin' twist to a memorable genre of music from days gone by. All of the best surf songs ever are on it, but the best two by far are "Surfin' USA," and the theme to "Hawaii Five-O." Don't miss out on this one. Hang Ten!

Customer Reviews:
Great music from a great movie.......2007-03-19
From when i was 9 to when i was 13 i must have watched endless summer II at least 200 times, literally. When i was 17 i wanted to watch it again but couldnt find it, i remember the soundtrack was awesome so i picked it up. Classic stuff, riptide makes me want to go surfing like no other song. Gary Hoey rules, and the rest of band is good too so it's not totally guitar-centric. Got to do some driving? Put this in, put some shades on, one arm on the wheel and you're good to go.
QUESTION: HOEY? WHO HE?.......2006-08-01
I'm kind of a quirky character - "unique" is the word that my friends have used to describe me. Those who were not my friends used other less friendly words from time to time, but those people are all dead now so there's no point in our discussing them. One of my little "quirks" is to occasionally ask odd questions from out of the blue. It might be a reasonable question such as, "The year of your best Summer?" (Mine was '74, how 'bout yers?) Or the question might be something totally nonsensical like, "What did you do when the crops failed?" Now, if you expect to remain a friend of mine for very long you will be required to consistently reply immediately with something (at least mildly amusing) that we can develop into a full-blown, long-term nonsensical discussion. Acceptable answers to that last question would go something like: "We turned to cannibalism" or "I died in the famine." You get the idea?
When I suddenly blurted out, "Best guitarist?" to my buddy at work, The Great LC, he answered, "Gary Hoey." I said, "HOEY? WHO HE?" I thought I had heard of all the highly acclaimed guitarists but this cat was news to me. Well, the compact disc-addicted Rams fan, The Great LC, loaned me a copy of one of his Hoey CDs and I was turned onto truly one of the most unjustly unknown six-string slingers extant. And it came as an added surprise and bonus when I discovered that 'Who He Hoey' had also written and performed the musical soundtrack for the movie sequel 'ENDLESS SUMMER II' (1994). The first 'ENDLESS SUMMER' movie (1966) you'll remember was the original full-length movie on surfing that -- along with the fabulous music of The Beach Boys -- really pushed the sport into the American consciousness, and it is still considered the classic, holy grail of surfing films. (In the days before art house/cult flick movie theatres and Beta/VHS tapes, they used to show 'Endless Summer' at the packed Santa Monica Civic Auditorium to kids like me who rode waves all Summer long in our quest for skin cancer. That was before the invention of sunblock, ya understand!)
So, is 'Who He Hoey' really the "best guitarist"? Well, The Great LC ain't no dummy, and I'd say that Hoey is darned sure in the running; the cat can really sling it! I think I'd still have to side with Danny Gatton because, despite his amazing versatility, I'm not sure Hoey could quite match Gatton's exquisite finesse on numbers like 'Canadian Sunset' and 'Poinciana.' But I'd certainly be interested in seeing the boys duel. That won't happen any time soon though because Gatton "died in the famine" of '94.
But let's briefly examine this soundtrack and see what 'Who He Hoey' is doing on it: The first thing you'll be happy to find is that this does NOT sound like your typical movie soundtrack album. There is none of that draggy "movie music" with cheesy orchestras sawing away on strings that meander over nondescript melodies - you know wot ahm talkin' 'bout here: FILLER! No way dudes and dudettes, this is a SERIOUS surf guitar rock album! This is the one movie soundtrack album that REALLY ROCKS! I mean this baby makes most so-called "real" Hard Rock guitar albums sound like the "movie filler" we've been talkin' 'bout here!
It opens with 'RIPTIDE', a highly electrified excursion into swirling waters of sonic danger. (How many of you blokes know how to swim out of a riptide? There's a secret to it, but I'm keepin' it to myself.)
'BLAST' is a heavy-chorded piece of menace (think Black Sabbath or sumpin' like dat), but 'SWEET WATER' is a fluidly-picked bit of metal funk and neo-reggae rhythms.
Then we get Hoey's outrageous cover of the old War classic, 'LOW RIDER' - the unofficial theme song of my hometown, Los Angeles (maybe you've heard of the place?) It's obvious that Hoey's amplifiers go up to 11 and that's where he keeps 'em set during most of these recordings.
If you don't get mental pictures of some long-haired surfer dude pulling off spinners and hanging ten on his longboard while Hoey plays his original composition 'WALKIN' THE NOSE' then you simply have no imagination whatsoever (and yer gonna be in big trouble when out of the blue I ask you to, "Tell me about your business with Roger O'Vernout.")
'DRIVE' has a nice little melody; it's not gonna wake the children or anything, but it's got a good beat and you can dance to it.
With 'LA ROSA NEGRA' (that means "The White Petunia" in Spanish), Hoey gives us his Carlos Santana impersonation; it's fairly Latinized for a White Surfer-lookin' guy, and it's a "daisy" of a tune.
OK, yer halfway thru this disc now, Surfcats. 'LINUS AND LUCY' is a cover of Vince Guaraldi's famous theme song for the Charlie Brown TV specials, and Hoey launches into it with all kinds of weird harmonic shifts and...somehow I'm tinkin' dat Linus an' da kids (and even Snoopy) would have had a difficult time doing their goofy dances to this version!
'SURFDOGGIN' is one of my favorite tracks. It's a bit O' tickling Country/Surf pickin' (I dunno; me tinks 'Who He Hoey' may have invented a new genre with this composition) and it really shows off his nimble fingers as they fly all over that fretboard and make me smile - this piece has a real sense O' humor...SERIOUSLY! "No, no, I'm nuh kiddin' you, uh!"
'PIPE' is an almost indescribably moody composition with Hoey's sparking guitar trading licks with Bud "Barefoot and Slippery" Shank's nasty Tenor Sax and Tony Franklin's great grumbling Bass pushing everything through the whitewater - probably my very favorite cut.
Hoey duets with one of his heroes, surf guitar legend DICK DALE on Dale's classic 'SHAKE & STOMP (Part II)' and it sounds like that wacko who used to juggle live chain saws on Venice Beach...only faster and louder. Forget about waking the children, this one's gonna getcha evicted from yer apartment.
'THEME FROM THE ENDLESS SUMMER' is the theme song from the movie 'Endless Summer' (guess that's why they called it that) and I've liked the tune since I first heard the original recording by The Sandals. (Maybe that's the version some of these other reviewers here had in mind.)
'ESCAPE' is pure Heavy Metal "Shock 'N' Awe' pyrotechnics. You might as well crank it up because the manager's already on his way over to yer unit with the eviction notice in his hand anyway.
And the disc ends with the surprisingly "spiritual" 'THE DEEP' - it's an electric ballad with long notes of sustain. With this one, 'Who He Hoey' proves that still waters really do run DEEP - this is a genuinely moving piece of introspection and a fitting way to end what is otherwise an energetic assault, like an electric eel attack while riding waves in the Big Blue. And for that reason, I love to workout to this disc! Yer gonna dig it too.
I'll end this review now with just one question for ya: "What were you doing on the trail with Lewis and Clark?"
Wow!.......2005-12-14
First, I have never seen the movie and nor do you need to, to enjoy this CD. This CD came out at a very formitive point in my life and has helped me recover from a surgury or two. The music contained herein is magical. Gary's not preoccupied by beating you over the head with riff after riff. He's able to convey real emotion and pathos out of each song. There are quite a few homages to other guitar players works on this disk. But, Gary is able to maintain his style throught each song. Other players like Vai and Satch seem to favor more of a style over substance approach. Don't get me wrong, they are both great players. Gary's work seems less like a guitar playing exercise and more like a spiritual convergence. Brilliant album.
The best guitarist you've never heard of..........2003-08-11
Gary Hoey does things with a guitar that I find amazing. As a guitarist myself, I know how difficult some of the things he does are. He plays some really fun songs, like 'Linus and Lucy' the Peanuts Theme, and gives them a hard rock edge. He's also done 'Low Rider' and a bunch of other songs that I think are great.
This CD, the soundtrack to the surfing movie, The Endless Summer II, is great. There is a wide assortment of songs on this disk from Linus and Lucy, to The Deep, one of my personal favorites.
Having never seen the movie, I can't tell you anything about it, but the soundtrack is fantastic!
WHAT A TALENT.......2003-06-26
I've now got 6 HOEY CD's and enjoy each and every one of them. This man is a genius. There may be better technicians playing the guitar today, but rarely does another guitarist write such consistently beautifull tunes. These are more than just vehicles for his solo's. These are great songs ( without words ) that at times are emotional enough to speak to you. Even when HOEY plays at full tilt he doesn't loose sight of the composition. The more I hear of this outstanding talent the more I love his stuff. VI and SATRIANI never reach the emotion that HOEY reaches with his musik. He rarely if ever plays for the sole purpose of impressing with his chops. His quiter moments bring tears to my eyes. Simply brilliant!!

This cd simply put, is amazing. The way he recreates songs, blows me away. My favorite songs are "Linus and Lucy", "Hocus Pocus (Insanity Mix)", and "Wipeout". If you're wondering whether or not to buy this cd, I have some advice, BUY IT!!!!!!
THE BEST HOEY YET.......2003-06-26
I love live CD's even though they can be a major let down. This one is anything but. I love this mans musik and guitar playing and this is the best one yet. His playing gets even better in a live environment and his band is awesome. His playing is inspired and his material lends itself brilliantly to the stage.
HIGH TOP BOP / PEACE PIPE / LINUS & LUCY are simply brilliant.
His version of RED HOUSE is good as well and shows another side to this artist. ( maybe a blues CD wouldn't be out of the question????) The 2 bonus studio tracks are also gems. Enough said - BUY IT !!
Another Killer Album.......1999-11-27
This is my favorite Hoey album. Everything on this album just rocks. Catchy melodies, killer solos, great tone. I've been to 3 live Hoey shows, and while it's impossible to capture the raw magic of a live show, this cd did a great job of capturing the raw sound. If you have never heard Hoey before then this is a great cd to start with.
I didn't think he was THIS good!.......1999-08-13
I have been a Gary Hoey fan for about five years. I saw him live in '94 and it was a great, although somewhat short, performance, only about eight songs. However, this recording is untouchable. My God! Hoey tears it up on every single track here. As a guitarist myself, it sounds to me like he has been working diligently to improve his playing ability. I think he has greatly strengthened his technique and speed, and this show is THE BEST thing I've ever heard from him. Don't wait, don't think. Just shell out the money for this album and soak up a HELL of a performance! Unfortunately, though, someone borrowed this from me and never gave it back! I guess that proves how cool this album is, but I'm furious! Maybe I should buy it again, huh?
awesome guitar music.......1999-06-04
If you like Joe Satriani, the soundrack to Endless Summer II, or the music they play after the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team scores then you'll fall in love with hocus pocus live!

It makes a nice Gift.......2005-06-07
I got this for Christmas one year.... from my mom. Her reasoning behind it was because she wanted to expose me to more stuff then what I usually listen to which is various Metal genres. She heard this guy on the radio and decided I needed some of his stuff as a "vacation" from what I usually listen to. This was kind of her and rather daring as it was definitely something risky. Would her metalhead of a son suddenly fall in love with Gary Hoey and change his direction? Or would he break the CD in half or use the pieces for target practice? Well the answer lies somewhere in between the two. I'm not the average stereotypical metal fan, which is rather stupid nowadays. I don't love anything because its metal, I love it when it has good musicianship and when there are good lyrics. I can enjoy the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and all those classics. Heck my favorite band is a group called the Butthole Surfers (they aren't metal). So that clears things up and thus leads to my opinion of Gary Hoey. This guy is really talented. What he creates here is much like driving music. There's not a whole lot behind the music, but there doesn't have to be. It's just how he does it, his skill as a guitarist is very high up there. Yet there are several Metal guitarists that can top him for sure (Andreas kisser from Brazilian band Sepultura comes to mind). And while I'm positive about this, it still failed in grabbing my attention for long. I never yearn to pop this in the CD Player saying "Oh man, I gotta hear Electric Karma again!" It only pops up when I can't decide what to listen to and I'm on the road. Not everybody will love this, but its nice to have as a gift. So therefore I think 3 stars is pretty accurate for this.
P.S. the cover of Low Rider is pretty cool too.
Probably Gary's Best Work!.......2005-01-14
Outside of Joe Satriani and Steve Morse you won't find a
more talented instramental guitarist than Gary Hoey!
Gary may not get as much "acclaim" as Joe, but he should.
Gary's been putting out great instramental work since the
late 80's! One area that Gary may have an edge over
others instramental artists is his song writing. It's not
blistering guitar work just for the sake of it. This is
good music begining to end. And when Gary takes the vocal
reigns on a few tracks you don't kringe. It just sounds
right. On top of that I think Gary's one of the best at
doing a cover tune. He does'nt copy it, he puts his stamp
on it. If your new to Gary's work check out his
"Greatest Hits" as well.
A great place to start.......2005-01-02
If you never have purchased a Gary Hoey CD before, this is a great one to pick up for fans and guitar players. Gary plays with a great feel with the grace of a player who knows where he is going. Among the excelent compositions there are some wonderfull covers. This CD is perfect to crank up when your driving.
this will blow you away !!!!!.......2004-11-02
OK now I listen to almost every guitar great you can imagine. And will BUY not download all of their CDs. Hendrix, Petrucci, Zappa, Blackmore, Trower, Vai, Satriani, well you get the point. Now I heard about Hoey in a cover sort of way. Heard him play other people's songs but not his. Well found this jewel of a cd in Montreal, bought it and now it has melted in my CD player !!!!
This is one smoking hot cd, lotsa chops, great solos evrything a guitar freak can ask for. As for the vocals, I figure if Hendrix sang, Gary can too..... :O)
He reminds me of Vai (for the whah-whah pedal work) but apart from that. His playing is top-notch. And this CD is a MUST....
YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID....
Later.....
Rock of Ages.......2004-02-27
This release by Gary took a little time to grow on me but I bought it a day after seeing him in concert. Vocals are better than expected as I had never heard any on previous albums. The mix is a little flat with a bit too much emphasis on the guitar but otherwise a great bit of work. Gary seems to have a different view of life and it shows in his songwriting, but that is a GOOD thing. I enjoy every track on it but the title song sticks in my mind most of all. Highly recommended, old school rockers will dig it!

Album Description
World renowned instrumental rock guitarist Hoey forges new territory as a lead vocalist on this release. With thirteen instrumental albums under his belt (which have spawned several top rock radio hits and over 600,000 albums sold), Gary proves that his incredible talent goes beyond his fingertips. This record features twelve new tracks, including the first single, "Lunatic Fringe". As always, he'll embark on a national radio morning show tour and through syndication, he'll be heard on over 400 stations.
Customer Reviews:
Interesting, but not one of the best.......2007-06-08
While it is a good album with new sound influence, it doesn't contain near the diversity and quality of some of Gary's earlier works. I will still continue to buy his future albums though, just to see what he comes up with next, and because I like the man's style.
American Made- Gary Hovie.......2007-05-28
This is the first of many Gary Hovie CD's I bought. Very talented guitarist!
Another great one from Gary.......2007-01-16
To me "Wake Up Call" was Gary's best and a hard one to match. It's still fresh to me but after just a few listens I think "American Made" comes in just behind "Wake Up Call". This is a fairly well rounded "Band Effort" than just a "guitarists solo album". The guitars have a little edge to them. Take Gary's lead work out of the picture and you have some really great rhythm guitar work goin' on. That's were I think Gary shines. Real beefy rythms with a little southern rock attitude thrown in. Good bass and drums backing him up as well. Along with that a couple bluesier numbers and some instrumental work that's okay. The stronger material are the vocal tunes. If you like Gary's previous stuff you should like this one as well.
More Great Gary.......2006-12-04
Well, another great one from Gary Hoey and his talented band members. My favorite tracks are 'The Deep' and "truth' from this CD. Also, on this CD is Gary's nicely done take on 'Lunatic Fring'e with just his three piece band. Oh did I mention how well Gary sounds on this CD. I've seen these guys live and I swear it's a better experience than going to one of those huge venues. Check him out. He tours nationally.

If you have Joe Satriani & Steve Vai albums in your collection you are not complete if you don't have this. He has a interesting choice of covers but is off the chain rock guitar.
The best of Gary Hoey.......2007-01-17
Gary Hoey at his best as the title states--outstanding job by the man
Gary Who?.......2005-01-14
That's what you might be saying. If your a fan of instrumental
guitar work like Joe Satriani this is must have! Gary's a great
guitarist. Not only that he's a better songwriter than most
instrumental guitarist. Gary's been putting out great
music since the late 80's. This is a great place to get a taste of
Gary's work. His style and songwriting go in many different
directions. From rock to blues to surfin'. Gary's great at putting
a good spin on a cover tune as well. Check out his renditions
of "Low Rider" and "Linus and Lucy". If you like this then check
out his newest release "Wake Up Call". It's one of his best!

A Rocked UP Christmas.......2007-01-18
Gary Hoey takes the traditional Christmas songs and gives them a hard rock intstramental twist. He also shows a soft side by keeping the true ballads soft and precise. Something different and great fun for the holidays.
H0-Ho_Hoey.......2007-01-16
This is the best Christmas music I have ever had. Some of the music is a bit too old school for me, but a lot of it is very, very good in a sense that it draws a good feeling from within.
Incredible Christmas CD!.......2007-01-16
I can listen to this CD forever, and not even on the holidays! The music is so creative that it makes you love holiday songs all over again and in a different fasion. Highly recommended especially if you are a rock n roll lover!
Awesome Collection.......2007-01-13
This is a wonderful collection of Christmas music. I simply love it!

The guitar player for the non-guitar player.......2007-07-12
You ask someone who doens't play guitar...."Hey you..yeah the guy who doesn't play guitar. Who is the best guitar player?" He'll probably say "aww man... Hendrix...( if you're a half decent guitar player you know that Hendrix isn't that great, he just started a revolution.) or he'll pick Eric Clapton (same deal as Hendrix, he isn't techincally very good but, he can make his guitar sing), or the always popular Santana (guy knows one scale and one key)....... What's special about these guys? One thing..... they make their guitars sing. An average person doesn't want to listen to Steve Vai blasting away at 1,000 mph, they like music. That's where Hoey comes in.
Techincally speaking, he's okay. He doesn't step out of the penatonic scale that much, except for a few modes here or there. He's pretty clean, but when compared to Paul Gilbert or Andy Timmons he doesn't add up. What he does is makes music people like to listen to. It doesn't change keys a thousand times, it just has a beat and good melody you can sing. That's why I like Gary Hoey. So for you reviewers who blast Hoey for his techincal mishaps, I'm right there with you, but I'd rather listen to Hoey than Vai any day.
Nice mixture of styles.......2006-03-07
I like how this guy blends the Satch tone with edgey blues-rock and 70's metal. I think this blend makes him pretty unique, rather than "not bringing anything new to the table". After the first few seconds of listening, it sounded new to me, and I've listened to just about every artist and style of music you can imagine. The X Factor is that part of the music that makes you want to get up and rock the hell out. This album has it.
Damn near perfect........2005-12-14
I first saw Gary play on the headbangers ball-b-q in 93. He was in the background jammin out.My only focus was on his music. Not the goings on around him. I bought the CD shortly after that appearance. I own everyone of Gary's disc and they all have their own endearing quality to them. I do not play any guitar on any other musical instruments for that matter. I just a guy who likes good rock n roll and quite a few other genres. So even though I'm not a guitar snob I am a music snob. I can tell you that this CD was amazing to hear in 93 and is still a total joy to listen to again and again. I had to repurchase this CD recentley because I wore out my original copy. Satch, Vai, and Johnson are really good. But my favorite is Gary.
6 strings + 12 fingers= this.......2005-07-14
Ahhh, the mid-to-late 80's. Lame bands (mostly) and great musicianship (mostly). Thankfully, Gary followed in Satriani's footsteps and flew solo. This guy is great, and so are all of his albums. If you get a chance to see him live, GO!
Okay, but not the best........2005-06-23
This is a pretty mediocre CD. A couple songs get a little laborious, but overall it was okay. I got this after getting HoHoHoey and liking it. I was curious to hear what his original stuff was like. The only real problem I have with it is that Gary kind of sounds like a cheap Joe Satriani knock off. A few of his riffs are tired and bland, and Motown Fever just seems like he's trying a little hard to expand his musical styles. But its a very noble effort indeed, I will give him that. The high points the album are "Hocus Pocus," "Texas Son," the slide intro to "Deep South Cafe," and the very very nice acoustic stylings on "Jamie." I really suggest trying Joe Satriani first if you havent already. Try Surfing With The Alien or Anthology, and I would also try HoHoHoey, cause its really nice to have around the holidays when people tell you to put on some holiday music and you dont want to put on any traditional junk.

Great Stuff.......2004-09-25
If you like Satch, You'll love Facedown & Drop In. But there is lots of great variety here. There is a great version of Floyd's Money with Gary's wah pedal providing the vocals. And that is my least favorite tune on the CD! My son bought this CD and I stole it from him and haven't given it back. This one is even better than Bug Alley. Zen Den is smooth and beautiful.
Four full stars.......2003-11-17
Four full stars for this title by Gary Hoey. I mean, this cd deserves absolutly four stars from its beginning to its end. It is really entertaining, expecially if you love instrumental rock, obviously. I had a lot of fun listening to it. Hoey is not the kind of virtuoso who plays a zillion notes. He is not comparable to Greg Howe or to Lane or to Prashant Aswani for example. They are more on the fusion side and are more committed to explore new stuff. Gary is not like them: he's committed to deliver pure fun through his guitar riffs and melodies and is more on the simple instrumental rock side. He plays a sort of Satriani instrumental rock, but without the strange awkward melodies sometimes Joe plays. Gary is just a simple melodies and riffs writer at heart and a consistent guitarist with great wah wah pentatonic chops. Moreover he has strong sounds and great time. Probably noone will ever point him as a guitar god but this album (and I imagine his others are too) is truly entertaining. I'm happy I did buy it.
ANOTHER GREAT HOEY CD........2003-04-02
My first CD of Gary's was BUG ALLEY and it floored me. Not having heard of Gary Hoey before it came as a great surprise and even greater pleasure. This CD is not quite as good as BUG ALLEY
but any CD from this virtuoso will contain enough to satisfy even the most critical fan. While not as consistent as BUG ALLEY it has enough highlights to keep you intrigued and entertained for hours.GONE SURFIN and ZEN DEN are worth the price alone and except for MONEY all other tracks will capture you or grow on you over time.
HOEY is DEFINITELY worth the 'MONEY'.......2002-03-16
You could beat me to death with this music, and I would die with bliss all over my body. As a Satriani fan, I was truly blown away by the rolling movement and feel of Hoey's music. It is ALL music, not blemished by a single voice. Each track, from finish to start, is a listener, but you can't "just listen" to this sound. I truly cannot pick a favorite, but the soulful waves that hit you in 'Zen Den' make you understand why no words are needed. I bought this, my 1st Gary Hoey cd, sound unheard on the two-word discription from a stanger, "OHHH, Giirrll." And they were not wrong. Hoey is DEFINITELY worth the 'Money'.
Underrated!.......2000-09-08
Gary Hoey is probably one of the most overlooked and underrated guitarist today. When people speak of the great rock guitarists around today, they generally mention names like Satriani, Vai or Eric Johnson among others. Rarely will you hear mention of Gary Hoey. After listening to this rather melodic CD, you will find yourself asking why. With the exception of "Money", all songs (11) were written by Hoey. Hoey performs all selections like a true virtuoso. Worth the money.

WOW!!!!.......2005-10-02
