Painful........2003-07-18
gets 2 cause it's not as wreatched Valor's other stuff..........2003-04-09
thieving clod credit: he'll do ANYTHING to try to get noticed.
" We fall like Love " is an okay ballad, but the rest of this
album actually makes you wish you WERE listening to Motley Crue...
Scrap it.

The Worst Christian Death CD.......2003-01-03
Disappointed upon release.......2001-08-31
An underrated album.......2001-06-24
Perhaps the overall reason for this album's obscurity is the fact that it's somewhat stylistically difficult to place in the band's discography. It's not exactly a goth album. It's not a metal album. It's not an industrial album. It sort of fits into a more mainstream hard rock niche.
Fans of Christian Death's other albums will likely be caught off guard by the album's opening gospel number "Live Love Together". However, I can't imagine anyone completely disliking the next track, the amazing ballad "We Fall Like Love". The best song on this album is almost undeniably the band's beautiful acoustic guitar based cover of Hendrix's "Angel", perhaps the most touching thing ever recorded by Valor's Christian Death.
Other standout tracks include the rocker "Love Don't Let Me Down", the hard rock ballad "I'm Using You (For Love)" and the album-closing "Woman To Mother Earth"..
In fact, the lyrics are the only major thing that holds this album back at all, at times even unintentionally evoking laughter on tracks like "Love Is A Bitchin' In My Heart", "I'm Using You (For Love)", and "Deviate Love"... Well, there's also the fact that it's part of a grand concept double album that Valor doesn't exactly pull off..
Despite that, as an album, it's still rather good musically speaking. It's not Christian Death at their best. It's not Christian Death at their worst, either.. Its production values aren't always immaculate, and Valor's vocals aren't always in peak form, but it's a musically well-performed and well-written rock album.
If you're looking for a metal album, you might not be completely satisfied. If you're looking for a pure goth album, you might like some of the material on here, but it might not be what you're looking for. If you're looking for Valor's typical sonic experimentation, you won't find much of it here. However, if you abandon your preconceptions, you will find complex song compositions, great performances with diverse instrumentation, and a rewarding rock album.
