It's a compilation that has not received a lot of attention outside of Japan, and it's a shame. "Soul Scramble" is a collection of various collaborations exclusive to this CD. One of the best unites singer Pushim with Gang Starr's DJ Premier, a funky track called "Set Me Free". Pushim, who sings gut wrenching soul in her native tongue, deserves as much attention as possible. Lori Fine of Coldfeet also appears here doing "You're Divine", and bird manages to drop some of her own knowledge in the track where she raps and sings. The production, as always, is close to perfection.
