About the Artist
Angela Birchett

Angela Birchett fell under the spell of music when she first watched Star Search at the age of seven, seeing then unknown R&B artist Rashaan Patterson. Since then, she's dedicated her life to making music that expresses her emotions. This 25 year old Detroit native graduated from Renaissance High School and later graduated from Kentucky State University with a degree in Music Education and Music Performance. Studying the legendary K State blend, she reached her most celebrated milestone as a performer in a regional music theater company based in Florida. Her voice, reminiscent of legendary gospel greats, appeals to the ears as much as it appeals to soul.

Steven Snead

Steven Snead is a Detroit native with a wide background in politics and social action. He graduated from Cass Tech in 1998 and currently holds a B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Michigan. But, Steve's passion for music was always his life's drive. This passion began in his church choir at the age of 15. He fell in love with music soon thereafter under the musical instruction of Dalos Grobe. With a voice reminiscent of soulful singers that have defined a current generation, Steve sings to make music that stimulates the mind and appeals to emotions

Kisma Jordan

From an early age, Kisma has been involved in every aspect of the Fine Arts, but as she grew older her vocal talent emerged as the greatest of all her gifts. A native of Detroit, the 24 year old Ms. Jordan was a military child and began vocal studies at age 7 in the church through the insistence of her mother who was an active member of the U. S. Air Force. She continued her vocal studies through high school and went on to attend Kentucky State University through a scholarship, where she trained as a classical soprano and received a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. Currently Ms. Jordan is a Graduate Student at Bowling Green State University pursuing a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance with a specialty in Opera.

Sadalia Brown

This Indianapolis native has loved music since she was a small child. Her musical passion was made known in high school when she actively began participating in school productions and talent shows where she repeatedly come out on top. Affectionately known as "Sadie", she continued perfecting her talent by attending Kentucky State University and receiving a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance in May of 2000. Sadie continued to fine-tune her art by continuing on to Bowling Green State University and receiving her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance in May of 2002. Throughout her college matriculation, she has been awarded many coveted accolades from a number of national vocal performance competitions.

Product Description
If you've been wondering whatever happened to "real" music, your wait is almost over...A fresh, new sound with a vintage vibe will resonate with genuine music enthusiasts when Marc's Project debuts later this month. The R&B/Neo Soul compilation is the debut effort from Muse Recordings, a new Detroit-based record label.

"Everyone complains that there's no good music on the radio," said Marcus Collins, a Detroit native, who co-founded Muse Recordings with Mike Muse, of Lansing. "Well the opportunity to enjoy quality music is here, because that's what this album provides."

Marc's Project features dynamic, classically trained vocalists who cross the genre boundaries of R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Gospel while delivering with soul, style and sincerity. The album's 16 tracks feature a combination of passionate music and conversational lyrics that delve into the various aspects of love in a refreshing, honest way.

Collins, 25, and Muse, 26, who runs the satellite office in New York, decided to launch an independent record label in 2002 after obtaining engineering degrees from the University of Michigan because of their desire to impact the world through the universal language of music.

"It all ties back to our mission to deliver songs that address the everyday aspects of love, life and spirit," Collins said. "We want the music to speak for itself. The music is the message." The album release will signal the return of classic soul music back to it's home in the city of Detroit. And come November 23, music lovers will have the opportunity to visit their local and online music stores to purchase a copy of Marc's Project .
