Deva ("Deva" is a Hindu title for divine) Premal has attracted a following by framing ancient Hindu mantras within atmospheric, contemporary settings. The result on Embrace, her third release, is at times flavorful, at other times undistinguished, but it produces more intriguing moments than duds. On occasion, Premal aspires to Enya-like reverence (e.g., tracks 2 and 4), then elsewhere coos her ancient text atop gentle grooves and jazzy flutes (tracks 3 and 6) in a manner suggestive of Deep Forest. Some might describe it as "smooth chant." Highlights include "Shree Ram Jai Ram," a beautifully realized cross-pollination of East and West (highlighted by Kit Walker's free-floating piano and Premal's resonant choir of voices) that hints at what Joni Mitchell might create if she tried her hand at Eastern music. --Terry Wood
Album Description
EMBRACE, the long awaited new album from Deva Premal, finds this best-selling singer at the height of her art, expressing the ancient wisdom of mantra through a contemporary musical vision. Her radiant voice, richer and more assured than ever before, floats above a cool, sensual groove provided by some of today's finest world fusion artists and producers Miten and Kit Walker (Walela, Kitaro, Neal Schon).
Deva Premal enthralled audiences worldwide with THE ESSENCE and LOVE IS SPACE. That phenomenal success continues with EMBRACE. Its relaxed, uplifting feel and elegant sense of space can only heighten the spell already cast by this mantra enchantress.
"Majestic, deep and full of love," Deva Premal's EMBRACE is a lovely and moving next chapter from an artist whose incredible potential is only beginning to unfold.
Album Description
Deva Premal's Embrace expands on the Eastern Indian fusion and ethereal vocals of her previous work, combining timeless mantras with contemporary arrangements. Innocent, soothing and laid-back. Features 8 tracks of sensual music for yoga, packaged in a slipcase. White Swan. 2004.

Ony one world.......2007-07-17
If I have only one world for this CD, that world would be:
GREAT
I love this woman, her voice is so perfect, strong and clear...
sublime.......2006-11-12
Being Indian I started on this CD with trepidation, expecting a western pop version of indian chants. But Deva produces an authentic bhakti experience and dissolved my fear. Her music, though somewhat different from my past Indian experience, blissfully conveys the Spirit that are the words themselves. In India it is said that if one has bhakti in the heart then the singing of and about the Names will convey the inhernt bliss, irrespective of all else.
Listen to this CD and feel the bliss.
Uplifting, absolutely beautiful!!.......2006-09-02
I think this is one of Deva's best...her voice, the music are all deeply moving and wonderful...there are solemm pieces and also joyful ones that literally make me dance! Lots of drumming and even a little jazzy at times...I could listen to this CD over and over again and I never tire of it!!
Disappointing.......2006-06-08
I found this disc disappointing compared to Deva's brilliant first CD entitled The Essence - which is a must have. What seems strange to me is that she is on the inside cover touching Buddha's chest, while the first track sounds like make-out music. Hmmmm.... For what it's worth, an Indian Brahmin confirmed that some of the mantras are concoctions, too, which does not really set a good precedent. People copy Deva's chanting in their kirtans and in this respect her work is influential. Although being innovative can be commendable, spiritual traditional chants are, in my opinion, off limits for whimsical changes. I wish she would get her mantras from reliable sources in the future.
Hard core Deva fans won't notice, of course, and will love this.
Deva Premal Embrace.......2006-03-20
I really like this choice of music for practicing yoga at home. It makes the time fly by when during my yoga workout and the music is appropriate and calming.

Andy Griffith Can Split Your Sides With Laughter.......2007-05-08
Andy has his own way of making people laugh and his wonderful down-home southern heritage doesn't hurt matters either...definitely worth listening to.
Original Andy Griffite.......2007-01-18
I still remember listening to "What It Was Was Football" and "Romeo and Juliet" with my Mom, in the 50's, when Andy was a newcomer to radio. How we laughed our fool heads off! Some of his phrases, like "...big aahranj draank..." and "...I'm rat cheer..." became part of our family vernacular, and still are.
I love it!
Down Home With Andy.......2007-01-11
We watched Andy when he first began to guest on various TV shows and thoroughly enjoyed his routines. Due to the fact that his body language and facial expressions were a large part of his humor we had to recall that aspect but listening to the CD made us laugh all over again.
Andy Griffith.......2007-01-11
I bought this for my father, who was a fan of Andy's back in the day. He really seemed to like this CD, since it brought back a lot of memories for him.

Good Fun. What is Was, Was Footbal is a classic like Abbott and Costello's Who's on First. Highly recommend this CD.

"What if Marco Polo had owned tape recorder?" This intriguing concept is raised in the liner notes to this impressive two-CD set, which wanders along ancient Asian trade routes known as the Silk Road. The first disc, Masters & Traditions, deals with formal styles performed by and for sophisticated connoisseurs. Meanwhile, the music on Minstrels and Lovers is played by amateurs who are part of daily life and thus reach a wider audience. The imaginary caravan passes through Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and Afghanistan, encountering nomads, mystics, and bards along the way. The instruments are scratchy, pungent, and/or serene, while the singers weave a potent spell out of a millennium's worth of slow-changing rural and urban vistas. In the opening essay, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, the project's artistic director, pleads for intercultural communication and empathy. This compilation provides an exotic, brave, entertaining first step in that direction. --Christina Roden
Album Description
What if Marco Polo had owned a tape recorder? And what if his epic travels along the Silk Road had taken place not at the end of the 13th century, but at the beginning of the 21st? Far-fetched conjectures to be sure, but our compilation The Silk Road: A Musical Caravan offers a glimpse of the rich musical life that an intrepid and curious traveler like Marco Polo might find in the lands of the Silk Road today.
Customer Reviews:
Be a Marco Polo of music.......2007-05-06
Its rather difficult to review this in the regular like it/don't like it way. This is the endemic music of the people along the silk road the runs across Asia. Some of it sounds very strange compared to Western music, like study for an Anthropology course, while some of it very enjoyable.
Northern Exposure.......2007-03-30
This anthology is an outstanding survey of the northern section of the so-called Silk Road, taking us from Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Iran, through Uzbekistan, southern Siberia, China, and finally to Japan, but not in order, as the CD set is organized instead by category of musical function and the localities seem random. Although there are significant gaps in the styles, and I particularly miss the sweet lyric songs of Kyrgyz women, the powerful mugham voice of Qasimov of Azerbaijan, and more examples of the kylkobyz fiddle of Kzakhstan, the set provides a fine introduction of the musics of inner Asia and particularly the instruments. A glossary of instruments is provided, but unfortunately their images are often lacking. All the examples are short by necessity, when many traditional pieces are far longer in duration. For the uninitiated, it will take repeated listening to distinguish the uniqueness of timbre and rhythm from one land to the other; but this similarity of sounds helps demonstrate the role of the trade routes in sharing instruments and styles, such that the Japanese biwa, the Chinese pipa, and the Arabic oud all are related. If you want to attain some feel for the musics of inner Asia, then certainly these disks will meet the requirement.
Sparse Great Songs.......2007-03-29
Some of the pieces on the first cd are "take away" great.
The secound cd is ...
I enjoy "world culture" music and sound however, the secound cd in this double collection was a monotonous let down.
The Silk Road: A Musical Caravan.......2007-01-03
Thank you for this part of my research on Central Asia.
Like an Exotic Journey.......2005-08-06
This is the ultimate World Music collection. It features authentic sounds from vastly diverse cultures, assembled in such a way that they don't clash, they flow along like a caravan journey. If you're looking for familiar tunes, this isn't for you. But if you'd like to expand your musical horizons, I highly recommend it.

Customer Reviews:
Great compilation - and that's just the first half........2005-09-14
I first got this on cassette in the summer of '94 and listened to it every day, drawn by its thematic range and compositional depth. And that was just side-one.
Elfman pioneered the sound that drives today's movie adaptations of comic-books and darker-themed children's stories. Side-One kicks things off with a rollicking, hyper-cartoonish theme from the first Pee-Wee movie - the one where Pee-Wee searches for his beloved bike. Elfman's theme contains layers of different rides - on tightropes, highways, in the middle of a NASCAR rally - which rudely yet melodically crash into each other.
The Batman entry actually contains several pieces - the opening credits, the extended sequence in the cathedral and the climax - which show Batman's darkened extreme at its "Frank Miller" best. (Dir. Tim Burton couldn't sustain the mood in the next sequel, and the franchise took a turn towards the camp of the TV series with the next 2 movies.)
The theme for "Dick Tracy" is perhaps the most romantic on this disc, a quality that surpasses the theme's comic-book origins, but ends on an ironic note that's pure Elfman.
"Beetlejuice" (opening & closing credits) gives Elfman's childish ID a chance to stretch its legs, or in this case, slam-dance.
"Nightbreed" is an enigma wrapped in a dark mystery, and that's just Elfman's score. Elfman's work on this movie is as good as the movie wasn't, having a more powerful narrative than the script - easily the best track on the entire disc, one likely to exceed the movie in its dose of chills.
"Darkman" doesn't quite rise to the occasion, though the score may be hobbled by the movie itself, which seldom surpassed one of the many "Batman" clones of the early 1990's. "Darkman" (the movie, I mean) excelled as a parody of many comicbook staples (the wronged hero, the relentless villain, the scientific breakthrough with just one flaw), but not enough to escape being largely anonymous. Within those constraints, it's still a moving if scary piece.
When is Elfman not like Elfman? When he was in the mid-late `80's and scored "Back to School" (A Rodney Dangerfield vehicle) and "Midnight Run". Horns in "School" bring it closer to Elfman's over-the-top style, while "Run" sounds like a love-theme for the run-down, out-of-the-way parts of America that seldom appear in Elfman-movies. "Run" is a fun score for a fun movie - it's nothing like Elfman's previous work but it perfectly captures the on-the-road-without-a-map craziness of the movie.
To this day, I don't know why I never ventured to Side-two, but it's irrelevant. Even half this disc is worth it
The best of Elfman!!!.......2005-09-05
I was obsessed about getting this CD right from when I heard about it. I found it at the library and was so excited about it, and it didn't let me down. In fact, it was a lot better than I expected. It's a fun and creepy (strange mix, but it really works!) collection of Danny Elfman's film and television soundtracks. The first track, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, is probably my favorite. Also, I really like Batman and Wisdom. Batman is creepy and dark, and Wisdom is just weird, in the best possible way.
I'd recommend this to anyone who likes film music, or everyone who is even the tiniest bit an Elfman fan. It's amazing!
Great Collection, A LIttle Too Eclectic.......2003-08-19
You should be able to tell from the movies and TV shows listed here whether or not you'd be interested in this collection. It's a little too eclectic for my tastes (hence only 4 stars) but better than volume 2. I think thatthe miscellaneous collected ites here along with the previously unreleased stuff should make this worth buying. Especially if you're a fan of Elfman's movie soundtrack work.
What Great Music.......2003-05-11
I fell in love with the music of Danny Elfman when Beetlejuice came out. There was something different about the music that he made. When Edward Scissorhands, and then Nightmare Before Christmas - I knew this man was a musical master. Its the verbal form of surrealism.
super.......2003-04-17
What a great CD. Danny's music is so original and inventive. this CD contains his pre 90's quirky, gothic music. it's all very well written and beautifully orchestrated. batman and darkman contain some really excellent long, dark, gothic cues that really take u away from reality. in my opinion no one, apart from howard shore, is as inventive and original as danny in the world of filmmusic. he far surpasses the repetitive works of williams or horner. buy this, and volume two, and keep supporting one of the greatest film composers of all time.ohh...and buy fellowship of the ring and two towers by howard shore....amazing work!

POWERFUL!!!!!!.......2007-06-22
You will be amazed. Only after hearing his speaches I realized he was a powerful man. A man like that does not have a chance to live a long life in this world. Malcolm X speaks the truth and doesn't care if you like what he says or not. I love you Malcolm. I wish I was only alive to see you. May God rest your soul. Amen
This is powerful!.......2006-06-04
For those of us who missed seeing Malcolm in person, this will give you a sense in why he is a sage of the hightest order. I am humbled at his way in which he makes us think. Very powerful.
Inflammatory!!!.......2006-03-29
Malcolm X's words are as true today as they were then. Unfortunately, not as much has changed as what we may think. He was so inflammatory and provocative; I can't imagine how "either side" took his heated messages when he first delivered them. Absolutely mindblowing. I wish I was there to witness his charismatic delivery and the strength of his testimony.

It would have been groundbreaking enough for the Israeli Ofra Haza to have performed an album of Yemeni Jewish songs. But when she and producer Bezalel Aloni added synthesizers, drum machines, and a generous helping of dance beats, they ended up creating one of the seminal records of world music--one of the very first ethno-techno releases whose reverberations extended into dance clubs around the globe, most especially with "Galbi." While its contemporary sound might make it seem shallow, there really is a lot of depth here, the lyrics coming from the poetry of 16th-century rabbi Shalom Shabazi. Along with fellow spirits like Dissidenten, Haza helped pave the way for Transglobal Underground, Natacha Atlas, and Banco de Gaia. --Chris Nickson
Customer Reviews:
Yemenite Songs / Fifty Gates of Wisdom.......2007-04-10
Contrary to what one reviewer wrote, Yemenite Songs was the original release, and Fifty Gates of Wisdom was the reissue. Israeli websites list Yemenite Songs, and not the reissue. Niggling difference. Great music regardless.
Still, under whichever release, the songs are the same and are fabulous. This is what transformed Ofra Haza from an Israeli star into a global music superstar. It is hard to even pick favorites among the songs. The lyrics are Arabic, Hebrew, and Aramaic from classic Yemenite Jewish poetry and music. You may not understand the words, but the passions, the rhythms, and the beauty of the songs are universal and timeless.
This may be the greatest release by the greatest Israeli singer ever.
Fantastic!!!.......2004-08-29
This is the CD that I play the most right now! I have the other version of this album, but the music (and Ofra's voice) are fantastic! My absolute favorites are: #1, #2,#,4, #5, #6, and #8 (Aylet Chen)!
Traditional and trailblazing.......2003-06-20
"Fifty Gates of Wisdom" is Yemenite-Israeli Ofra Haza's masterpiece from 1987, melding ancient songs and rabbinical poetry with a dance beat hammered onto Yemenite drums that sound like pots and pans. It is an incomparable production that influenced the development of world-beat music and will stand proudly forever. I saw Ofra perform most of these songs live in 1990, and she exuded such joy, performing Yemenite dances around the stage as she sang. And she sang with such power, she could send a tremor down the back of the entire audience with the slightest trill. The standout track is "Im Nin'Alu" (a #1 hit in Europe), and my other favorites are Aleyet Chen, Ode Le'eli, Yachilvi Veyachali, and Ash'alech. Only "Galbi" fails to satisfy, sounding too much like a knock-off of "Im Nin'Alu". Unlike many of her later albums, she does not mix English in with her Hebrew, so unless you know Hebrew (or is there some Arabic or ancient Yemeni language here?), you won't understand a word. Believe me - it's no obstacle to a full appreciation of the music. There is another CD released more recently called "Yemenite Songs". It's the same CD with the songs in a different order - not sure what the point was there, but this is the original production. This is both a world-music classic and world-class music. It is the single most essential Ofra Haza recording.
A must have!.......2002-08-07
I am always baffled that to see albums of singers such as Ofra Haza in the "used" bin. Who would want to let them go?
This album is a must have for anyone who likes or wants to be introduced to the incomparable voice of Ofra Haza. For my taste I prefer the simpler "folk tunes" and mercifully this recording came out before the loud dance club style completely overtook Ms. Haza's work, such as in "Desert Wind". I would like to hear all Ofra's work reissued with the backing turned down. I have no problem with a background beat as long as it stays in the background. Ofra Haza was one of those rare singers who did not need accompanyment, just her voice alone soaring high was all we needed.
A jewish singing in arabic... ¡Simply Wonderful!.......2001-06-08
In this lines I don't wanna say nothing about israeli/palestinian conflict. Simply I wanna say: Hey, men and women of Middle East! Ofra was a jewish woman, bred in Israel, between jews, but she never forgot her arabs roots, yemenites, and sang for arabs and jews with the same beauty and talent of always. Because all we have the same God, and because arabs and jewish are brothers peoples. With "Fifty Gates of Wisdom/Yemenite Songs" Ofra sing wonderfully in the best album of folk music of the Yemen, with lyrics in arabic, aramaic and hebrew. "Galbi Yahib Al Hawa" is far the best song, tribal and mystic like few songs. Soon, in my opinion, "Im Nin'Alu", "Ode L'eli" and "Tzur Menti - Sei Yona - Sapri Tama" follow in beauty.
A great album, wonderful. It's cannot lack in the collection of who loves the ethnic music.
Sorry by my poor english. I do it by Ofra, the Queen of Middle East.

As a singer, Donna Hughes's languid, conversational phrasing barely hints at the depth and range of her songwriting. That songwriting has attracted the stellar support of producer-guitarist Tony Rice, harmony vocalists such as Alison Krauss, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Rhonda Vincent, and some of the top musicians in bluegrass. While uptempo breakdowns such as "Sad Old Train," "Too Many," and "Bottom of a Glass" (with Sam Bush on flying-fingers mandolin) fit comfortably within bluegrass tradition, much of the rest goes well beyond. On "Father Time" and "Not Anymore," she shows her mastery of the piano-based introspective ballad, while the harmonies and cello of "Find Me Out on a Mountain Top" could be described as chamber-grass. There's also a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" that splits the difference, beginning as midtempo melancholy but then picking up the tempo for a bluegrass transformation. Hughes is still a stronger writer than a singer, but the investment she makes in her own material pays emotional dividends. --Don McLeese

ehh. not the best.......2007-05-20
The best part is the cute girl on the cover.
Most of this CD is a let down. There are much better new comers
out there...but i must give all bluegrassers credit and support
their efforts.
Heavenly music.......2007-05-07
Donna Hughes is a breath of fresh sweet powerful breeze in the bluegrass world and I think will be a major crossover star in time. This is a fabulous album and I hope she plays live in our area soon.
Guitar-oriented remake has its own charm.......2007-03-30
I really like Donna Hughes. She is a wonderful writer and has a unique voice that blends perfectly with a bluegrass backing.
Her previous CD, Same Old Me, is one of my all-time favorite CDs. In addition to Donna's well-crafted songs and great vocal delivery, there is an edgy banjo-laced arrangement that permeates every cut.
Tony Rice produced this new CD with his usual smooth Americana-friendly backup that somehow loses the raw bluegrassy flavor that made the earlier CD so refreshing. You can make up your own mind about which you might like better by reviewing cuts here on Amazon that appear on both CDs. The songs in common are: Scattered To The Wind, Where Are You Darlin'?, and Hold On. I know some people will prefer the smoother guitar-oriented versions that feature Tony Rice's smooth and fluid backing. I happen to prefer the more raucous versions with the banjo and mandolin a bit too far forward. Anyway, it's great to hear the differences and the choices that were made. Both CDs are great.
Some of the highlights of this new CD for me are "Bottom of the Glass" and "Not Any More." I often pay less attention to lyrics than other people, but Donna Hughes is such a skillful crafter of lyrics that I pay close attention to the words every time I listen to these songs.
I encourage you to listen and buy this CD, but I also strongly urge you to check out the 20-cut earlier CD "Same Old Me." It's a fascinating and compelling CD as much for its production failings as for its excellent music.
On the way.......2007-03-22
Donna Hughes has already had 2 tunes covered by established acts. The stand out feature of this new CD is the writing, as has already been noted by the heavyweight artists who have taken her under their wing. Sometimes the subject matter is sentimental (nothing wrong with that), but neither the writing or the delivery is ever maudlin, and the take on the situation is from an original angle.
The music mostly has deep bluegrass roots, but I am a little reluctant to put it completely in that box. Her piano based tunes step outside that classification, and probably she will end up busting out of the bigger Country box as well.
The singing is laid back and the music is really well played as one would expect from the calibre of musicians that seem to have fallen over each other to play it.
The CD is called Gaining Wisdom, and that is what Donna is about here. She has not reached the peak of her powers yet, and we will hear better things from her in years to come.
In the meantime she will never have to be embarrassed about this first major release.
Moving & sensitive personal songs w/ a relaxed, refreshing, contemporary flair.......2007-03-12
Playing Time - 43:36 -- Heralded as one of the best new singer-songwriters in bluegrass, Donna Hughes' debut on the reputable Rounder Records label is a significant career milestone for the creative and talented young woman from central North Carolina. When I first heard her independently released albums years ago, I knew she was inspired, motivated, and headed for great success. She just needed the right amount of luck. Enter guitarist Tony Rice who also heard "something that was down to earth, with a definitive southern flavor to it....that implied a broader, more adventurous approach." This album, produced by Rice, includes four new arrangements of original songs that Hughes previously released on her own "Same Old Me" project. Eight additional originals are on this "Gaining Wisdom" album, along with two covers ("Time After Time" and "Find Me Out On A Mountain Top").
As I've said before, Donna's songs have potential to become contemporary bluegrass, acoustic country or folk hits. Classically trained on piano, Hughes also has a strong affinity for bluegrass music. She has performed with regional bands, Wildwood and Different Directions. Her adorned and relaxed presentation is incorporated with the modern instrumental consciousness of such stellar acoustic technicians as Tony Rice, Tim Stafford, Rob Ickes, Mike Bub, Sam Bush, Ron Stewart, Wyatt Rice, Bryn Davies, Rickie Simpkins, Wayne Benson, Scott Vestal, Kati Penn, and Obil Perez. To accompany her dreamy singing, we hear harmonies from Carl Jackson, Alecia Nugent, Sonya Isaacs, Mary Chapin Carpenter, John Carroll, Kati Penn, Rhonda Vincent, and Lona Heins. This is a very impressive cast that infuses her music with a great deal of enchantment. Hughes writes and sings moving and sensitive personal songs with a relaxed, refreshing, contemporary flair. Introspective themes of lost love, sorrow, longing, heartache, and optimism are covered.
In her song, "Letters," Donna admits to having a lot to say in correspondence with her grandmother, and it becomes apparent that dreams and aspirations are in the Hughes' family. "Where Are You Darlin'?" is a tale of anguish in which she sings, "Along with all my dreams/I can't go on, I can't go back." And the song "Too Many" expresses "I just can't love you anymore." Four of the tracks provide nice showcases for her piano playing, with the lean arrangement of "Talking to the Wind" being a particularly unique and lyrical way to end this euphonious album with a nod to her own Native American ancestry. Best in 10 years.......2003-07-07
Wisdom is a breath of fresh air. It was a trip back to the differing nuances of his Regathering and Heart of the Shepherd work. I love Wisdon. Swift to Hear, Slow to Answer is a beautiful, meditative peace with JMT's guitar riffs in the background adding a beautiful flair to a neo-classical piece. Just a great work that will be way too underappreciated.
A Great New CD!.......2002-04-14
I was blessed to receive this CD as pre-release in last May when I saw John Michael Talbot at a bookseller's convention. Like most of his works, this too is quite mellow and contemplative. I have enjoyed listening to it from the first time on! I do not completely agree with all of his theology, but the theology is not shoved down your throat and I can still appreciate the work.
The one warning I have with this CD, as well as the majority of his work, is that most of the songs are in a minor key. While this is great for contemplation, too much music in a minor key can bring some people down.
My favorite selection from this CD is "In God's Peace (On Early Death)." This song really puts into perspective our journey here on earth and the glory that awaits those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Messiah in Heaven.
JMT is my favorite.......2002-01-01
John Michael Talbot has been writing and singing some of the most beautiful, peaceful music I've ever heard. A long time fan, I have every one of his titles and "Wisdom" will find a place in my collection. I'd highly recommend his music if you like calm, classical music that exalts God. Unlike most of modern day Christian "rock" Talbot's music transcends this age and I believe remain a classic always.
Michael, The Classic.........2001-11-04
I've always been a fan of John Michael Talbot, since listening to "The Quiet" with Peter's Canticle and St. Francis song..Lord make me an instrument of your peace...where there is hatred let me sow love..
Wisdom is another beautiful work coming from a sensitive man that loves God with his heart and soul.

The Twelve Gifts of Birth - Music.......2006-03-01
I have given numerous copies of the book as a gift to all my friends who are first-time grandmothers to give to their new grandchid and was unaware of the music that now can accompany the book. I love it! Such wonderful positive messages and great sing along - not only for children, but for adults too. I bought one CD for my grandchildren and then ordered five more for gifts for adults and children. If everyone grew up listening to these messages how wonderful it would be!
Great Music for Adults, Too!!!.......2004-11-25
This CD is wonderful. There is such a great mixture of styles and everyone can enjoy it! I actually cried because it was so beautiful...and I'm not a mushy kind of gal!! It's a must-have no matter if you have/work with children or not.
Music for everyone!.......2004-10-30
This CD, although especially good for children, is music for everyone to enjoy. The themes in the music remind us to be positive and kind people in a busy, hectic world. This CD deserves more attention!!!
A Breath of Fresh Air.......2004-09-29
This CD will entertain and stimulate you and your child for years to come. The melodies are captivating, and the rhythms are so enticing they will get your feet tapping and your hands clapping. The Twelve Gifts of Birth is a wonderful CD for all ages!
Beautiful Music.......2004-09-14
As a music educator, I highly recommend this CD and the book that it is based on. The music is powerful and inspirational, and it is easy for youth and adults to sing along together. It would be wonderful to have more quality music CD's such as this one...to replace the tired Raffi and other pop culture children's music icons.
