Etherea is a beautifully breathtaking ambient release from electronic composer Jeffrey Koepper. It was produced with ambient legend Steve Roach, whose presence can be felt in the music. The recording is full of warm pulsing meditations,serene soundscapes and deep emotions. Koepper has a unique gift for breathing life into his collection of vintage analogue synthesizers. He elegantly blends the sound textures into deep reflective evolving sound-worlds. This is an excellent cd for deep relaxation, deep thoughts, yoga, meditation, massage and our lives in general.

from the first pulses, rich lush chords and delicate rhythms, the listener embarks on an other worldly journey. koepper with his vintage analogue synthesizers manages to create space, form, emotion and a quite energy with his machines. giving sound to the shapeless, koepper forms landscapes that we are invited into and allowed to explore the various sonic soundscapes. amazingly, each listening of the album is it's own unique experience. no two plays are ever the same. the music in it's own electronic organic way is ever evolving, changing, responding to whatever emotions we bring to it. as the music moves forward we find ourselves in a serene meeting with the sound. etherea is a work of substance and artistry. classic. timeless.
Best ambient release of 2003.......2004-01-28
When I listen to this CD I envision myself floating in the middle of a peaceful ocean with wispy clouds floating by in bright blue skies. I only wish more artists had his talent and were using analogue synths the way Jeffrey Koepper has on this excellent CD. This music will relax you and take you out of this world...
Beautiful Electronic cd!!!.......2003-07-25
Wow, this cd is amazing. I really love the beautiful lush quality of Etherea. The cd is full of emotional music that takes you on a sonic journey. Being a Steve Roach fan I purchased this cd because of Steve's role as producer.I am glad I did. I discovered a new artist(jeffrey koepper) in the electronic scene. I highly recommend Etherea.
relaxing yet engaging.......2003-06-23
Here's a nice ambient CD chock full of analog goodness. Thick textures swirl and evolve. The music can sit in the background, but it rewards your attention with unexpected sounds and shifts of color. The songs take their time to build and resolve without ever feeling like they're just meandering. Take a listen, your patience will be rewarded.

A sonic journey through lush arrangements, ethereal (no pun intended) pads, and slowly evolving soundscapes. This CD is a *must have* for any fan of ambient music!
