mya third lp she grow somewhat on this cd but she could did must better than this she covers tom petty ,s free fallin she,s done other covers like dolly parton but this cover this diffrent in a way most pop chicks do a crappy job of rock covers exmaple (shakira,s verison of amerosimth dude look like lady) pretty bad she did that cover she before came to the breakthrought oral fixation 2 she came with where are thieves back before that, to mya change the words the song and did a decent verison of the song 6 /10 i known mya since the frist lp in 98 the same time i met shakira i hope mya what cover will she do next troi amos or yes i hope the next cd is better. mya did better than thosse two chicks mr dion and shakria.

mya covers tom petty,s free falin and get this people she,s don,t copy him she her own verison tom petty,s song rest fall short it to her to frist album i brought because 1. had not heard nothing from 98 to 04 in six years I remeber when she came out in april of 98 i was 13 years old my mom,s know you too bad aaliyah died because i would wanted her to do RUSH,S anthem or Primus / little puppies pretty funny huh . OK JOB SHE could did much better she had sean paul dance hall star is on this cd mya a woman now unlike the late aaliyah mya not a household name but she people know she is .

I love this album!!! this album and Mya's Fear of Flying have a tie for her best album. Tha songs are hot and the title totally describes the different moods and tones of the songs. Taste This,Hurry Up, Anatomy 10N1, Free Fallin', You, Things Come & Go, and Step all could've been great singles. She has funky, weird sounding songs that r also great: Late, whatever Bitch. Sophisticated Lady is also funky, kinda good but that's the ONLY SONG ON THE ALBUM THAT I DON'T LIKE.Even though i don't like that song, you can still put the cd on and listen to every song without skipping any song. I also like the bonus song :Real Coompared To What (song for coca cola commercial with Common). This cd doesn't dissapoint.

I had this CD when it first came out but I misplaced it. I HAD to buy it again. I love Mya and I especially love this CD.

Very different........2006-07-09

This album was so different than what I expected.
While most don't seem to rank this album as a 'favorite,' you have to give an extra star for it's uniqueness.

I've always liked Mya and even though she through a curve with this album... I have to even like her more. I think it was brave.
This album reminds me of Aaliyah's last album in that it was so NOT what I was expecting. I was expecting Aaliyah's whole album to have the 'We Need A Resolution' style. She, like Mya in this album, experimented and it showed confidence and courage... totally respectable.

The thing I don't like is that Mya hasn't made an album since this one... what's up with that? Clubbin too much to work??? Whatever!!! GET BACK TO WORK MYA!!!!! Quick, hurry up... your fans are getting old, we might not make it to your next album if you keep up like Hayley. The Olympics might even pass you up. Oh wait, they already did...

Not the best........2006-08-21

Mya isn't a phenomenal singer -- she has an okay voice, but she's better on tracks where she's featured or where she doesn't have a large part. Her last CD, "Fear of Flying," was pretty good, but she shows again that she can't really carry a whole album with "Moodring." There are a few songs that stand out and are pretty good -- "My Love Is Like...Wo," "Fallen," and my favorite, "Anatomy 1 on 1." "Sophistcated Lady" is an okay track, and then there's "Real Compared to What" that she did with Common for the Coca-Cola commercials, but the rest of them kind of just blend together and aren't distinct from each other or command listening.

These songs from this are not to good , sample it before you buy. her last album fear of flying is better.

Better than Beyonce's album!.......2004-02-10

I don't know how to describe this album but nicely done! As you've seen those other raters above, this album totally satisfy me and surprises me, too. I didn't expect this one to top her last one, "Fear of Flying". That album had very good singles but this album is on fire! Majority of you who have bought the Beyonce album got fooled like me too did ya? Cuz "Crazy In Love" and "Baby Boy" does not sound like that for the rest of the album. But album is different and one of those albums that you'll listen from the begining to the end. I am very proud of Mya, now she just need a better record company that can promote her and give her the right spotlight like she deserves!

Great CD!.......2003-11-18

I have to give it to MYA, this CD is AMAZING!! I enjoy this CD from beginning to end. She proves on this CD that she has matured in life and in her music. Kudos to Mya and her production team on MOODRING! If you don't have this one, I suggest you get it!!

This is the best cd that has came out all summer.Mya on her 3rd album moodring has a song that can realate to all your different feelings or emotions so just by the album you wont regret it.

Mya Is GROWN NOW!.......2004-12-29

I was real pissed that Mya released the songs that wouldn't get her attention paid. This album is excellent.

01. My Love Is Like Whoa (10/10) - The first single Of The C.d. It's letting folk know she's grown now.

02. Fallen (10/10) - This is the ultimate fallen in love song. Being so deep in love, you're drowning. I love this song.

03. Why You Gotta Look So Good (8/10) - Lloyd Banks and Mya: A hit! It's about how this guy she's with is a low-life but he looks so ggod, she can't leave.

04. Step (10/10) - This should've been the 2nd single off the album. Missy Elliott did this song. Telling that wanch that messes with yo' man to step or else there will be some action.

05. Sophisticated Lady (9/10) - One of my favorites. She really makes herself blunt in this song about what she will and won't do. She takes control of whoever she's with.

06. No Sleep (9/10) - This song is up-tempo, it could've been slow, but I still love it. It's that chillin' with your piece song.

07. Anatomy one on one (10/10) - Mya's vocals has gotten better. I was immpressed with this song. I love it and she is serious about getting with this guy and making a kid.

08. Hurry Up (9/10) - Another track that Mya could've kept to herself, but I still love it.

09. Thing Come & Go (10/10) - This is my fun song. Sean Paul is on this record also. It has that reggae vibe to it. Pretty much telling her man she's sorry for doing him wrong and she's grateful he's still with her.

10. You (10/10) - Mya is in love, that's all that has to be said.

11. After The Rain (8/10) - I feel the emotion in this song when MYa sings. About someone she lost but will see again soon. This song will have you in tears if oyu can relate.

12. Late (10/10) - A strange melody track about her period being late ever since she had sex with this guy. I love it.

13. Whatever B!tch (10/10) - The house music song. A perfect song to vogue to. I don't know how to vogue yet, but watching it be done is good enough. About that one ho that hates on you at the club, so you brush it off, and that's what Mya did: Whatever B!tch.

14. Taste This (9/10) - An eerie piano and thunder crashing gets you ready for Mya's revenge song. Her man is acting strange and being inconsiderate, so she gives him a taste of his own medicine.

15. Take A Picture (10/10) - The song that makes you reflect on your past. She wants to take a picture so she can remember the moment forever. It's touching.

16. Free Fallin' (9/10) - She redid this song, but I don't know who originally sang it. Another keeper.

17. Moodring (10/10) Maaaaaan, Mya was pissed off in this song. About her best friend going behind her back and sleeping with her man. I like this track.

18. Extasy (9/10) - One track I didn't like in the beginning,but it's a catcher. I forgot what I meant. LOL

19. Little Too Much, Little Too Late (10/10) - This songs' meaning breaks my heart. Mostly because of the piano medley. About it's too late too late to get back with her because he left her when she needed him.

20. Compared To What (9/10) - From the coca-cola commercial. Also Common is featured. A good song to end the album with.

MYA DID A GREAT JOB WITH THIS ALBUM. I JUST WISH SHE PROMOTED IT BETTER. I STILL LOVE YOU MYA!

If the US release wasnt good enough... well this tops the cake!! 3 more tracks that add to this colorful cd. Buy it I doubt you'll regret it if you love MYA!!! go see her live shes awesome!!!
