FacePlant [Explicit Lyrics]

Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Born from the desire to simply create music free from limitation, FacePlant has an exciting, dynamic sound that knows no boundaries. Although proud of its roots and each band member's past musical influences, FacePlant refuses to be bound by any particular genre of music. The focal point of the band is to explore the power and dynamics of music and emotion and deliver it in a way that explodes into its audience. The collective effect of the words and music are powerful, providing a different journey for each member of the band an audience alike, but a journey that is undeniable and one which uncovers all of the emotions of life and life's many experiences.

Relying mostly on each other, FacePlant has managed to capture the feel and free raw emotion that can only be found between four individuals who allow the freedom to be nothing but a true collection and reflection of each of the band members. By allowing that attitude to grow and flourish, FacePlant has created a power that you can't help but feel. A sonic assault, of energy and emotion, which uncovers some of the powerful emotions we face in day to day life. FacePlant combines all of that emotion and power into a musical journey that can be felt as well as heard within the words and music.

Formed in March of 1999, FacePlant features Terry Maclean on vocals, Dwayne Scott on lead guitar, Patrick Bolahood bass guitar, an Allan Armstrong on drums.

The connection between these four individuals was immediate, and suddenly, making powerful music was an exciting reality for FacePlant.

With one self produced recording, Bowelistic Songs from the Heart, FacePlant is intent on becoming a recognized force in rock. FacePlant is looking forward to growing their audience and leaving a solid, firm impression on those who take a moment to listen. And their second release which is attached, is sure to make an impression. You can't help but feel…

5 out of 5 stars Faceplant - one step from the light.......2004-07-14

I have been listening to Faceplant for quite some time now and would consider myself a fanatic or real close to one. Everyone in the band - Billy "Wild Bill" Hargrove on lead vocals, Bryan Broussard on vocals and percussion, Charlie Carlisle on drums, Jason Self on guitar and vocals and Jon Alksne, an excellent bass guitarist - all rock and have major talent.

They are sponsored by Jägermeister and any hardcore respectable fan has a bottle either in their freezer or at their shows (when the venues allow it)!

"Get Some" is filled with great music as is "Hell Yea!" and samples from the CD are available from their official website which can be looked up in popular search engines using "faceplant official homepage" (without quotes) - I listen to this band on a daily basis and try to see them live at least once a month. Billy, Bryan, Carlie, Jason and Jon - See you at the show!

I used to work with Charlie at Sonic. Now he's a rock star. For some reason I wanted to drink beer and smoke weed after I listened to this CD sober. I recomemend not listening to this CD sober.

4 out of 5 stars fun and funky.......2003-07-06

I've seen Faceplant a couple of times. Live, they're great. This CD is good. It's funky and different. Go for it.

1 out of 5 stars One of the Worst Bands Ever.......2003-06-18

Jeez... This band is very awful... They played and extra long set when I saw the open for the Presidents of the USA a few months ago... They are a band sponsored by some beer company... How band can one band be?

I borrowed this from a friend who had borrowed it from a friend one day coming home on the bus. It was recorded well, but I could not hear a bass part (I'm a bassist, so to me that is important). For the most part tho, it was pretty good. 15.00 for a 9-track CD seems a bit too much for me tho.
