Way cool Baltimore R&B posse Dru Hill have it all--boy band sentiments, Motown harmonies, hip-hop handles, and, with the release of Dru World Order, one of the snappiest album titles around. While songs like "Never Stop Loving You," "I Love You," and "Old Love" make it clear the combo isn't about to mess with a winning formula of canoodling, come-hither ballads, Dru World Order takes some detours. The hypnotically rhythmic "No Doubt" jumps with a vaguely Eastern-meets-Caribbean vibe bound to have custom SUVs quaking on the Interstate. Queensbridge emcee N.O.R.E. adds dope rhymes to the ghetto-fabulous "On Me," while Dru Hill's Def Soul labelmate Chinky, of R&B quartet LovHer, adds airy, silken female vocals to the ridiculously catchy, pop-damaged "She Said." And if a dude can't make it to second base while a knock-kneed love song like "I Do (Millions)" plays in the background, then there's no hope. --Kim Hughes

4 out of 5 stars Not A Classic...But Not A Disaster Either.......2007-03-10

After making 2 solid albums and Sisqo doing some okay solo albums, the guys come back together for a mediocre album. I hate to say this, but there are quite a bit of filler in the middle of the album, and a strong beginning and end. Scola does add an element, but I do miss Woody's presence on a lot of the songs and he doesn't have a solo track that i could entirely enjoy. The real Dru Hill fans may be a little disappointment, but its good for the collection.

Standout tracks: "Xstacy Jones", "I Should Be", I Love You, "I Do (Millions)

5 out of 5 stars Great Album with the new member.......2007-01-26

This is a great album. The new member Scola was a great addition. He sang lead & wrote I should be. His voice is great and a great fit with Dru Hill! Scola has a new cd out called Scola's Lost Treasures it on here now for sale. Check it out. But he is a great addition to this group DRU HILL! I love them all!

4 out of 5 stars A Classic.......2007-01-17

Since 1996 when I was in 10th Grade I have been a fan of the Dru Hill Family. The guys came on the scene as young upstarts and really may be the most talented R & B group since Jodeci or Boyz II Men. Ego's appear to have gotten in the way of the groups chemistry but the guys came back strong with a added member to show that these brothers could unite to make a hell of an album. Dru Hill are best when they croon and they have other writers and producers behind them. There early work had great production by Keith Sweat and Babyface and a new ear would have been great. The Bryan Cox track "If I Could" may the most overlooked song but it is awesome. The two up-tempo tracks (sisqo's influence) could have been over looked but overall the 2nd best Dru Hill album behind their debut "Enter the Dru"

2 out of 5 stars Very weak & medicore album from a group capable of more.......2007-01-13

Like many fans I eagerly awaited Dru Hill's Dru World Order, however I was very disapointed as the CD only has four tracks that really impress me. Two of those tracks were the singles I Should Be and I Love You. The only album tracks that impressed me were Xstacey Jones and Never Stop Loving You, other than that it's a filler album as the harmoines are weak and the singing is boring. Two things could have fixed this album the first being enlist better producers such as The Underdogs, Babyface and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Nokio produced over half the album, and much of the songwriting was kept in-house as well which was a mistake for the group. The second thing that could have fixed the album would have been a good cover song as I think Sisqo & Jazz could have easily killed Cameo's Why Have I Lost Your or Gentle by Fredick.

4 out of 5 stars Where is Nokio?.......2006-03-31

i luv this album because this album really showed nokio coming into his own as a producer and songwriter. of course he always produced/co0produced songs on the two previous dru hill albums, such gems such as all alone, beauty and so special which sounds like a mixture of feenin and stay by jodeci... nokio has always showed promise as a producer, but it's on DWO that he really shines... xstacey jones, i love you, she said, i do millions... priceless, timeless and just beautiful... of course there's the up tempo joints... but the ballads are really what make this album special... thats neglecting to mention of course the singing, which is just great... i havent heard of him making any new material lately, which is a shame cos he was really on the road to becoming one of those producers that u always remember for putting out good quality and unique material... nokio if u read this man get back into the studio and do what u do best, u right behind the man himself.... devante!
