About the Artist
Long time Sun Messenger trumpeter/vocalist William (Big Will) Elijah has completed a disc called "CROWD PLEEZA." A mixture of Funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Ballads for his newly formed record label 3B Records. One of the many stand out tracks is "Big Daddy Shake" a song that gives a shout out to all the Big Fellas this song features great local talent in the voice of Kimberly Fairchild. Other songs include the sexy smooth ballad "What Love Is", The Funky Smooth Hip-Hop crooner "Teddy Bear", The sultry "Don't Ever Go" plus The anthem "Ride Wit Me" featuring up incoming Hip Hop Mavericks The Mystery Men. This 13-track project marks the first in a line of projects that the new label will handle. The goal of this project is to introduce himself as a writer, producer, performer to the record buying public. Big Will has been associated with The Sun Messengers a Detroit main stay musical powerhouse with 4 horns and 4-piece rhythm section for many years and has become a crowd favorite because of his gravity defying performances, blazing trumpet licks and powerful rap/vocal skills. Big Will has had some incredible experiences in the past couple of years with the loss of his son's mother Patricia Elijah and the loss of his mother Carolyn Elijah both within a six month period. Now three years later he has gathered himself with what he says " With only the grace of God and a beautiful wife, Teresa." and the promise he made to Patricia that no matter what happens you must see your dreams thru and continue to raise their now four year old son William (Lil Will) Elijah. "CROWD PLEEZA" has been therapeutic for the ever smiling Elijah "Broken hearts mend" he says with great family and friends and a place you can put all the hurt, anger, love, joy "That's what music is here for, to ease our cares mark our triumphs celebrate our loves also to vent our frustrations with life". Big Will calls his music Detroit Urban Soul a mix of life, love, poetry, music, and dance. His style of writing & producing comes from his many influences in the Hip-Hop and R&B fields like Michael Jackson, Luther Vandros, Brian McKnight, Ludacris, Mystical, Missy Elliot, P. Diddy, Prince, The Neptunes just to name a few. This site has been very instrumental in the marketing aspect of my career with the CD manufacturing and the merchandising Mp3.com offers." It can be said of the talented Big Boned Brutha (3B) that he has the experience to stand up to and with the Big Dogs.
