Customer Reviews:
one of my all-time favorites.......2004-11-02
I love this album from start to finish. It has all the great elements of blues-based rock & roll.... great back beat, horns, harmonica, strong guitar, & great hard-drivin' vocals. The lyrics are well though out and not just thrown in as an after-thought. I have 4 kids (15-5), they love it too. I have used this album to teach them what good rock is supposed to sound like. It is tough these days, (a lot of crap out there)...we play it everytime we cross the Walt Whitman Bridge and head to the shore. If you like Southside, I would think you already own this...if you never heard Southside before, it is a great intro to an underappreacited band that had held on to its roots. The best of the Garden State.
It's Been A Long Time.......2003-09-07
I played this album in my car on the way to the beach today...I hadn't heard it in a while. What a record! Every track just smokes. Like the great Disciples of Soul, (with Southside replacing Stevie's vocals), it's just a great collection of songs and performances. Max Weinberg is an incredible drummer; and the rest of the band just jams around his beat. A truly underrated album.
A Hot Comeback For A Great Lost Bar Band.......2002-09-26
BETTER DAYS is a hot comeback for Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. Little Steven is back on board, with a whole bunch of great songs. "Coming Back", "All I Needed Was You", "It's Been a Long Time", and the title track are the best-known songs, but there are numerous other gems on this, one of Southside Johnny's best ever. The whole album has a reflective tone, looking back to a glorious past and forward to the road that lies ahead.
Like wine, he gets better with time........2002-05-12
I've been a Jukes fan for as long as I can remember, and this album does not let me down. After all this time, it's still one of my favorites to kick in the CD player. "Comin' Back" is reminescent of his "Slow Dance" album which should also be a staple in any Jukes fan's archive. Of course, no Jukes collection is complete without "At Least We Got Shoes", "Sacrifice", or "In the Heat". In any case, this album delivers from beginning to end, and is certainly worth the investment. This album gets better every time you play it!
A steal for this price..........2000-08-16
A very strong album with top notch production by Little Steven. If you are a Southside fan, shame on you for not already owning this highly underappreciated disc. If you are a Bruce fan with only passing acquaintance with SSJ, or a fan of the bar band / soulful / brassy side of rock, then spring for the 6 bucks and you won't be disappointed with this record.

Customer Reviews:
Better Days - great Chicago blues.......2007-01-14
Paul Butterfield has always done a great job; bought this new in LP in 70's, some cleaning scag stole it in 90's; worth spending twice for it
Butterfield's Magnificent Swan Song.......2005-12-31
This record/CD is a true gem. Though there were a few more efforts from Butterfield including the 2nd effort by this line-up, he would never again reach the stellar heights he hit with this record. First the band smokes from every standpoint vocals, solos, and ensemble playing. The rep covers every genre of blues and Better Days nails everyone with verve and authenticity. In addition to Butterfield we are introduced to some of the most talented players who were virtually unheard of at the time. Amos Garret's one of kind guitar playing comes from out of left field with his double string bends and unique phrasing. His solo on "Please Send Me Someone to Love" belongs on the list of top ten guitar solos of ALL time. It brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it. Ronnie Barron and Geogg Muldaur both sing their tails off and Chris Parker and Billy Rich just groove from beginning to end. I cannot recommend this timeless CD enough.
Classic Blues album........2005-09-11
Yes, I'm old enough to call it an album, as I do own the LP that I bought in the 70's, but too many parties and it isn't in the same pristine condition it was 30 years ago. Butterfield rocks and this is the album with my favorite PB tune, Buried Alive in the Blues. Really worth a few late night listens....
The lesser known Butterfield Band, but no less talented.......2003-03-06
Most of those who will read this are already aware of the late Paul Butterfield's ability on harp, vocals, and band-leading, but perhaps some don't know as much about the other band members: Amos Garrett is a true wizard-guitarist, bending and sliding multiple strings into perfectly in-tune moving chords ,(usually only playable by two guitarists together), without devices. . Some readers will better remember him as the solist on 'Midnight At The Oasis' by Maria Muldaur,(formerly married to Jeff). The late Ronnie Barron, on piano and vocals, was a contemporary of Mac Rebenak,(Dr.John). There's a legend that Mac originally was going produce Ronnie as Doctor John, before deciding to do it himself. The truth of this rumor doesn't matter, what does is how believable it is after hearing Ronnie Barron. Chris Parker has been a major session drummer ever since this recording, perhaps best known from the 'Saturday Night Live' band. With all of their individual talent, they play as a cohesive unit, musically, more so than the original band, (which depended more on hot solos).
It'll do!.......2000-05-24
This is one of my most favorite non-acoustic blues albums ever. The cover of Walkin' Blues is such a rocker! Amos Garret's guitar playing is unique. But the real treat is Butterfield's harp playing. I've always thought he belonged to the Count Basie school of playing: you don't need to play so many notes if you know exactly the right notes to play. I just wish that the CD came with that big harmonica poster that came in the album. An ex-girlfriend got that years ago.

His Best........2006-11-23
I think this is his best CD. "Better Days Ahead" is completely smooth, not too much singing on here. His best melodies are played on the guitar. Preview the audio samples and you will hear how Norm played the lines sensitively, and with light touch. This is a tight band and crisp production. This is a very sensual CD. No cheap synth-sounds on here and No drum machine.
I bought it used here at Amazon for $2.00 sealed CD. What's the problem?
I don't want all the singers and R&B commercial stuff, just give me the Guitar Jazz and "Better Days Ahead" doesn't disssapoint. BRAVO!
Norman seems to be treading Water..............2005-02-05
on this joint. Like his other efforts, he comes stormin into effect, with this time around. Apart from facts of love, this CD is kind of samey.
Fantastic Album.......2004-11-25
Norman Brown is my favorite "groove" jazz artist, along with Chieli Minucci / Special EFX, Boney James, and Incognito. This album has a number of unique, interesting, and sophisticated tracks. My favorite is "Third World" which is one of the singles that got significant airplay on the jazz stations.
Top of My Playlist!.......2004-06-20
The title track, "Better Days Ahead" is one of the best Smooth Jazz guitar-driven tunes released in the last ten years. It is always at or near the top of my playlist! It has a great melody and velvet harmonies. It's Norman Brown at the top of his game!
Awesome Album!.......2004-02-03
How good is it? It's great! I've purchased it twice it's so good! It is definetely a classic in my opinion! Besides the great covers of R Kelly and Earth Wind and Fire, it has some well written pieces like: "This Time Around", "Better Days Ahead" (the title track), and my personal favorite, "Places in the Heart" which has a smooth fine wine type of flow. It's amazing how good he is at such a young age! Most guys I've heard that are this good are 50+ years old. If you like smooth Jazz with a funky R&B flavor, you won't find a better album!

Album Description
Melissa Manchester is one of the premier female vocalists of the last three decades! She has had loads of charting albums over that time. Surprisingly very few of them have ever been issued on CD. Better Days & Happy Endings reached # 24 on the Billboard charts in 1976. 2006.
Customer Reviews:
rockin' melissa.......2006-11-14
wow! miss manchester truly rocks. songs like happy endings, you can make your dreams come true and good news are true gems. the whole album is worth listening. if you are melissa manchester fan, you will not be disappointed, to say the least.
Better Days & Happy Endings (1976).......2006-08-01
This is the Melissa's 4th LP and follow up to her 1975 breakthough LP MELISSA, which featured the top 10 hit Midnite Blue. She continues her plight in relevant times for the evolving woman, love and relationships. The lyrics are poised in a way that few writers of that time could express. The lead single on this CD is Jsut You And I which was a top 30 hit for her as well as being her You've Got A Friend song. She and Bob Dylan sang this song together in the privacy of Bob's home and we sould have loved to have been there! Better Days was the next single and follow up story to the day after Midnite Blue. It became the last song she sang in concert, accapella. The third single was a double sided hit with a single mix of Happy Endings and a remake of Fontella Bass's Rescue Me. Ignored by Arista, however, is the standard that could have been her biggest single Come In From The Rain. It's one of her most popular attractions in concert.
Other highlights include Good News, Stand Up Woman and the Rufus/Chaka Khan sound-a-like You Can Make It All Come True.
If you could get the Japan version of this CD put out by BMG, it is well worth the price tag! Missing and "wounded" from this Wounded Bird re-issue are the lyrics, original colorization artwork and sound quality. Certainly better than your scratch LP, but not up to par with the Japanese version. Maybe if enough of these cheaply released issues become sold, it will prompt Melissa to buy back her rights to her music and re-issue them the right way with bonus tracks and perfection.
THEN & NOW!.......2006-07-25
I have longed to hear this music again for decades! I was 16 in 1976, and this was my favorite album. I played it relentlessly. A few decades, a few life changes, several moves, and somewhere along the way, my vinyl albums were lost. Of the entire collection, the loss of BETTER DAYS & HAPPY ENDINGS was the only one that truly hurt. Having searched without luck for it on CD for years - literally - and being willing to pay a pretty penny, I am overjoyed and giddy that it is finally available! I am a huge Melissa Manchester fan, but I'm passionate about her older albums. Her collaboration with Carol Bayer Sagers is incredible. The songs on BETTER DAYS & HAPPY ENDINGS are beautifully written (musically and lyrically) and lushly delivered. I could go on, critique every song, but I'll end here with a simple "Buy it! You won't regret it!" It's Classic Melissa at her very, very best!

Sophisticated, warm, uplifting, and humble.......2007-07-27
I am a Christian, but I must confess I am not a fan of much of the music branded toward my demographic. It's either silly, poorly written/produced, or worse, lacking in spiritual depth. The Robbie Seay Band offers something different. Their sound would be welcome in any coffee house. The band is quick to welcome all as they humbly admit their own shortcomings. God is exalted throughout, and the listener is uplifted. I highly recommend this album. I hope to hear more from these guys in the future.
Robbie Seay Band.......2007-05-11
Fast becoming one of my favorite bands. I really enjoy the ballads.
Excellent Honest Beautiful Music.......2006-06-19
Technically excellent, lyrically good, passionate and sincere, you can tell that he actually believes what he's singing. The music quality is on par with David Crowder, I was greatly blessed and moved to contemplate the beauty of God reflected in His creation by listening to this album. The cd also comes with 2 music videos on it which are amazing art video style collages that actually convey the same message and emotions as the songs they were made for (Which in my opinion is very rare in music videos). It's worth a listen.
Passionate music for passionate souls..........2006-04-12
I have long enjoyed Robbie Seay's music and I am so glad to see that he and his band are starting to get some national recognition. When he puts out a new album and I pick it up I usually listen to it on a regular basis for 1-2 years afterward. The lyrics are just so honest and pure. It is as if he is singing the exact cry of my heart all the time. His voice is modest, but it is the force and passion behind it and the intelligence of what he is saying that make the music worth listening to and worshipping to God along with. The band is very talented and creative in their riffs and melodies.
I agree with the comparison that their music sounds a bit like a Christian Coldplay- but they are certainly very unique. If you like Dave Crowder, Charlie Hall, or other laid back acoustic rock and are a fan of lyrics that have depth and meaning, you ought to pick this album up. It is worth listening to. Over, and over, and over again. That's what I'm listening to right now. Again.
Great.......2005-10-21
Robbie Seay Band is the best new christian artist to come out in a while. He is a great writer and they are very musically tight.

Like most good lover men, Joe knows you can unzip more flies with honey than with hassles. This understated but seriously gifted singer/songwriter may not enjoy the superstar profile or recognition of some of his fellow R&B Romeos, but as his fourth CD, Better Days, proves, what he lacks in persona he more than makes up for in persuasive and sensual songs. There's a gentleness and ease in Joe's smoothed-out, sexy, and decidedly grown-up brand of R&B. Listen to the way his silky vocals glide over the ever-so-syncopated keyboards on "I Like Sexy Girls." Or hear how Joe concocts a romantic and realistic evening on the undulating single "Let's Stay Home Tonight." Even when Joe is trying to get his mack on, he remains a gentleman. It's that soft-spoken, from-the-heart approach, along with well-crafted tracks, that make Better Days a keeper. --Amy Linden
Customer Reviews:
A step down from the last never the less still good.......2006-12-29
It's no secret that JOE is a very talented soul singer. However after the mamooth sucess of My Name Is Joe, Better Days was released in time for the holiday seasons. Let's Stay Home Tonight," is a rather straightforward remix for the rap audience featuring Petey Pablo. The other collaboration, "Ghetto Child," is a bit more ambitious, featuring Shaggy and the Boys Choir of Harlem. Elsewhere, the emphasis is on Joe. There isn't a roll call of big-name producers here (though the Neptunes do make a showing), so Joe is left to carry much of the album's weight. He proves more than capable of the challenge on songs like the lead single, "Let's Stay Home but Ghetto Child was horrible as was I Like Sexy Girls. In the ballad department JOE offers up the goods on What If A Woman, Lover's Prayer and Alone. JOE has a classic album in his voice and hopefully one day he'll show us that promise.
An Underated Talent.......2006-05-03
Despite Joe not receiving such wide acclaim as other of todays R&B stars, his work and acheivements should not be overlooked as he is without doubt one of todays most gifted songwriters.
On his fourth project, Better Days (2001), he diplays his growing versatility as an evidently serious recording artist. His work has great depth expoloring serious and relevant human issues and expresses genuinley deep, honest emotion. He has an undeniable flair for ballads with such offerings as What If A Woman, Alone and Isn't This The World. The gentle and sensual musical arrangements which have all the emphasis and elements of the modern day R&B sound are all beautifully mellow with each holding an undeniably timeless appeal.
The quality in his work is consistent throughout and the album does delve into urban, late-night R&B numbers such as the sultry Let's Stay Home Tonight, Ghetto Child (featuring an effective interlude from another gifted R&B artist, Shaggy), the playful I Like Sexy Girls and a few truly sensational numbers like Lovers Prayer, Changed Man, I Understand to name but a few.
There is such passion in his work thats it's questionable as to why his unique talent an work so far has been so over-looked but never the less it's quality what counts and tis album is just that. This is probably Joe's greatest album yet and had it been given te right radio air-play this could have easily have catapulted into view with the media. Superb and sensational and possibly is the modern-day Marvin Gaye.
better days alright.......2005-08-08
This was not Joe's best album. In my opinion, he really has seen better days. I hate the fact that I can't listen to this album from the front to the back.
Definitely Some Good Dayz!.......2005-05-20
Joe does an excellent job on Better Days with his soulful voice and smooth ballads. Hands down, Joe is an exceptional talent that should be recognized. He's by far one of the best male singers out there right next to Luther Vandross. Joe's intoxicating love ballads leave you feeling loved, respected, and most all cherished as a woman. As a man his songs shows you how to love, respect, and appreciate your woman. This is truly a man who indeed knows how to appreciate a woman.
Joe demonstrates his tenderness on such songs as "What If A Woman" "Ghetto Child" "She Used 2 Luv Me" and the most beautiful song ever "Lover's Prayer". If you're looking for Better Days ahead, buy this album. I promise, you won't regret it.
A True Artist.......2005-01-23
This album did not get the appreciation as Joe's previous work. And while I understand the reason behind that,I still feel this album is a great piece of art. Well Joe did not stick to his winning formula for this album for the most part this is true. But, he did touch on topics that needed to be adressed such as teenage pregnancy, Domestic violence, ect.I guess and I hope he feels as an artist he has the power to affect changed. So It is my hope that he chose to do that, through the album "Better Days".So I not only ask that you pick up this album as a fan ,but I also ask that you pick up this album for your friends and family Who may see themselfs in the topics that are addressed in this album.

Along with Versus, Silkworm, and Red Red Meat, Chavez were one of the best guitar-rock bands in a decade oversaturated with such acts, in both the over- and underground. Fans and newbies alike can rejoice with Better Days, a three-disc collection with two CDs and one DVD. The tracks--1995's Gone Glimmering and 1996's Ride The Fader plus B-sides, one previously unreleased tune, and a few songs from compilations--have all been remastered. The New York-based act had actual harmonies to match their big power-chorded anthems. And sure, their tunes were literate and funny--but most importantly, they totally rocked. The best thing about the band, as has often been noted, was the twin guitar playing of Clay Tarver and Matt Sweeney. It's in evidence all over this generous retrospective. --Mike McGonigal
Album Description
This super-deluxe re-mastered compilation has a triple-gate digipak: two CDs plus DVD, two 28-page books, the two original studio albums (1995's "Gone Glimmering" and 1996's "Ride The Fader"), non-album b-sides, compilation tracks from "What's Up Matador" and "Schoolhouse Rock! Rocks", a previously unreleased track, two promo videos, a tour documentary, plus other DVD Easter eggs.

Chavez- "Better Days Will Haunt You" (complete works)..........2007-01-11
Probably one of the best bands you've never heard of that influenced everything you listen to, assuming you listen to good heavy pop-rock. The melodies of the vocals often trick the listener into forgetting that they're listening to some crushingly heavy, down-tuned, borderline metal music. This long over due collection more than does justice to a band that was never given a fair chance. Don't let the mid-nineties tag get to you...this is good, timeless stuff. If you like "screamo" and think that Thursday started all this "heavy but melodic" nonsense, don't miss this two disc collection from the masters.
a breath of fresh air, ten years later..........2006-10-17
When you look at the back of the new Chavez retrospective Better Days Will Haunt You there is something that jumps out at you. It's the pumping fists of college kids rocking out, with no smug smile on their faces, just unadulterated joy. Do you remember that? Rocking for the sake of rocking? Well, Chavez friggin rocked it back in the day, and this is something I think we all could use a dose of.
Over the past few years indie rock has become more and more of a celebration of posturing, pretension, and, of course, irony, so it's nice to be reminded of how much this music can rock and just be great for the sake of being great. You don't need to know any obscure references or have any kitschy tastes in mid 70's Finnish Electro-Disco to be able to enjoy this great collection.
Coming out almost exactly ten years since their last album was released, Better Days Will Haunt You compiles literally everything Matt Sweeney and Co. ever recorded for Matador. There are so many great moments over these two CDs and one DVD. A lot comes from the great songs by Sweeney, best known for the fantastic Superwolf album he cut with Bonnie "Prince" Billy, which redeemed him for his slight involvement in the regrettable Billy Corgan project, Zwan. The combination of his guitar work, vocal stylings, and fantastic melodies are so infectious it hurts. Every time I listen to the tracks Laugh Track or Guard Attacks it is spine chilling how well it all comes together. The rest of the band totally rules too, of course. There are few modern bands whose instrumental interplay can even touch Chavez. Seriously, if this doesn't make you do any air drums or air guitar you might as well give up now? All kidding aside, the quality of this music is frighteningly consistent.
People always ask me what indie rock is. Some say it's a totally vapid term that people just drop to look cool. Well, I have an answer, and its Chavez. So, if I haven't offended you enough, run over to Cheapo and get this fantastic set, you'll have a great time. Seriously.

Sheer beauty from Agnes Baltsa.......2005-06-23
This disc from Agnes Baltsa (Greek opera-singer) containing the most beautiful Greek songs is a real treat. It's recorded in the -80s when she was around 40 and in her prime. The songs are written by famous Greek composers like Theodorakis, Hadjidakis and Tsitsanis. My only complaint is that the cd only contains 11 songs. I wish it had at least 11 more.... But fortunately, my cd-player has a "repeat-button".......(Which I might add, is soon worn-out..)
For people unfamiliar with either Greek music or opera, this is the place to start. To me it seems that Greek music often is a matter of strong likes/dislikes, as is opera. You either love it or you hate it. After listening to this disc you will definitely want to seek out more recordings of Greek music and/or opera-recordings featuring Agnes Baltsa.
I know and love Agnes Baltsa from the opera stage, but even so, this record still amazes me. You will not hear her belt out painfully high notes like an opera-star on this cd - just beautiful singing throughout the whole disc. She also has a clear phrasing which I think is great, because it enables me to understand what the songs are all about. Being a classically trained singer one should perhaps think her voice unsuitable for simple-styled Greek folk songs. You couldn't be more wrong. Her crystal clear voice lends an elegancy to the songs that has to be heard to be believed. I'm a long time fan of Greek music and own a lot of recordings from various Greek artists, but never have I heard these songs so beautifully sung. This is definitely my "desert-island-recording" of Greek songs. I never tire of hearing them played again and again and again....
My favourite tracks from the disc have to be "Oniro pedion tis gitonias", "to treno fevgi stis okto", "O tahidromos" and "Arhontissa" and not to mention "Varkarolla". Her voice is just so hauntingly beautiful in these tracks. Don't be surprised if you end up in tears. But really, all the tracks are real treasures, gift-wrapped in Baltsa's velvet voice. It's a treat to hear Baltsa sing in her native tongue for the first time. It's obvious that she feels perfectly at ease here. She captures the melancholic beauty of the Greek soul so wonderfully. To me it's a mystery why she hasn't recorded more of this sort (at least I haven't been able to find any...)
The Athens Experimental Orchestra which is playing on this disc also deserves some words of praise. They make the Greek instruments sound heavenly and in the instrumental parts of the songs you just want to get up and dance.
This disc is really a proof of Greek supremacy - the music, the lyrics and Agnes Baltsa's singing - so simple and yet so powerful and breathtakingly beautiful. What more can I say? Just buy the cd ASAP!
A Wonderful Collection.......2004-12-10
This album was first released by Deutsche Grammophon (DG) in 1986 under the title "Agnes Baltsa, Songs My Country Taught Me." I have owned it and enjoyed it for probably 15 years. It's a wonderful collection of very melodious Greek folk songs with fine arrangements sung by one of the great mezzo sopranos of our time. It's great that DG has seen fit to re-release it so many of you can also enjoy it. Buy it; you won't regret it.

Sound quality is terrible. Probably recorded from an LP. I am a die hard Guy Clark fan and he never wrote or recorded a bad song. I have all his music and purchased this because it was not previously released on cd.

This reissue of the Boston favorite's 1995 debut clearly highlights her greatest strength: her voice. Susan Tedeschi has been singing since she was 4 years old, and it shows; her voice has the power and control that comes from long experience. If her version of "Hound Dog" doesn't blow the top off of Big Mama Thornton's original, it's still a strong effort, and she's just as good with her own material. The title track--penned by Adrienne Hayes, guitarist for Tedeschi's band--is especially good, as the slow tempo allows Tedeschi to stretch her pipes a bit. Unfortunately, even by the release of Just Won't Burn, Tedeschi's guitar hadn't caught up with her voice, and the discrepancy is even more obvious here--there's a spark, but it doesn't quite catch fire. Still, there's no question that her heart's in the right place, and if her guitar work continues to improve, there'll be no stopping her. --Genevieve Williams

My cat could probably mix better! I'm serious!.......2007-02-08
Fairly good CD marred by the most horrible recording / mixdown / mastering I've ever encountered on a commercial CD - nay, make that any CD! Through headphones the stereo image pumps around, indicating they did some heavy stereo compression without mixing the channels together for the control signal.
In order to listen to this without getting a terrible headache, I had to mix it down to mono and apply some fake stereo. Pathetic! Who let this thing get stamped out without even the most cursory inspection of the content quality?
[...] But please, please, please play blues guitar on your next CD, OK? Shove those those studio pickers out of the way and do what you do best! And take JH out of your Rolodex!
she's great , this recording well . . . . .......2005-07-12
this is worth owning as it's a record of susan younger . . . .
i'm really looking forward to her new album - supposedly coming out this fall
Great music, bad production.......2003-04-01
I love Susan Tedeschi and was thrilled to get a hold of this "pre-fame" CD. It's a great CD too. Full of powerful blues that are more reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt than of Janis Joplin.
The production on this CD is really pretty spotty. The first track "It's Up to You" has a very muddy quality to it and "It Hurts Me Too" is painful to listen to on headphones with the mixing from left to right channels constantly moving. Most of the tracks however, are adequately mixed.
All in all, this is well worth listening to if you're a Tedeschi fan, but her following CD's are far superior to this one. She just keeps getting better.
A good record.......2002-09-30
Like most people, I fell in love with Susan Tedeschi after hearing "Just Won't Burn". It became the soundtrack of my senior year in high school...so I immediately bought "Better Days", and at first listen, I was disappointed. Nothing seemed to click. It wasn't bad, just okay. I set it aside for a couple months and just recently started listening to it again. I don't know why I didn't love it before! Some of the songs almost have a country feel, like the first track. Most are mellow blues, but they still rock. I can't wait for the new album!
This gal knows how to play the blues!.......2002-07-12
I first heard Ms. Tedeschi when she opened for B.B. King in his year 2000 tour. What a night! I happen to be a big fan of the blues, and when I heard those performers, I was more than impressed! But Ms. Tedeschi stood out from the rest, because she expresses such a great amount of talent. You can tell that she loves her work! She can really play the blues, and her voice is just the icing on the cake!
It's hard to say which song on this album is my favorite. It's like trying to decide which one of your children you love more. But I will say that her interpretation of "Hound Dog" is not one to be missed. I would also have to say that the instrumental work on "You're On My Hair" is great! Not to mention, she can play a mean slide guitar! (When you hear "Locomotive" you'll know what I mean). I recommend this album to anyone who has a deep respect for the blues, you won't be disappointed!
