A good value.......2007-05-17
I wasn't expecting to have 4 discs for this price, and the music is a quality selection of film music, giving a good scope of the genre, and a very listenable transfer.
The Sound Track Since Bernard Hermann.......2006-07-25
This collection is bound to capture your heart and evoke a tin ear on successive tracks. I found much to like and some duds - easy to skip over.
Very good value.
Good mix of film music.......2006-07-02
Good mix of films!
I'm a big fan of this soundtrack music and will be looking for more CD's like this.
A mixed collection of movie music.......2006-02-23
For the price, this CD is a great bargain. The musical selections, as you might expect, are mixed in quality ranging from extraordinary to so so, the balance being worthwhile and interesting. Sonically the CD is excellent.
Uplifts your soul, takes your mind into the heavens.......2006-01-06
I have been listening to great scores for many years and this collection is truly inspirational in so far as the choice of different scores takes you on a journey of listening pleasure matched by only a few collections. The price is incredibly reasonable for hours of listening pleasure. Don't pass this one up

This Is the Remix shows just why Destiny's Child is such a powerhouse: they have wicked songs that can survive almost any treatment. Not that the selections, culled from the group's three preceding albums, are mishandled here. The Neptunes aren't quite at the top of their game on "Emotion," but Timbaland's sexy remix of "Say My Name" is one of the best things he's done--and that's saying a lot. Despite too many rap interludes, the CD ends on a high note with feverish Maurice Joshua mixes of "Jumpin', Jumpin'," "Bills, Bills, Bills," and "So Good" that are simply fantastic dance-floor burners. The one misstep is the tucked-away "Heard a Word," a track from Michelle Williams's solo album. Still, this is state-of-the-art mainstream R&B designed to tide fans over until the triumvirate goes back to the studio together. --Elisabeth Vincentelli
Customer Reviews:
This is the remix!.......2007-07-06
Ahh... the good ol' days of Destiny's Child! I loved them so much and was helplessly obsessed with them. (Well... I guess I still am.) So obsessed that I would get into verbal arguments with classmates that made fun of them or called them classless, etc. (Don't get me started on what it was like to be a huge Mariah Carey fan during the Glitter/mental breakdown period. Haha.) But I digress.
As a fan, I bought almost every maxi-single they ever came out with and I played them out. When Destiny's Child did remixes, they did them all the way. They re-recorded vocals, wrote new lyrics, and in the case of the Timbaland Remix of "Say My Name," they would create a completely different song. So when I heard they were coming out with a remix album, I was ecstatic.
Even though I already have most of these remixes (and even a few album tracks) on CD already, I'm glad that they compiled the best on one disc. And the amazing Neptunes Remix of "Emotions" was worth the purhcase alone for me. This remix album is an overall enjoyable experience and I still listen to it all of the time.

oh my god this has to be the stupidest remix cd i have ever heard it sucks they cant sing for nothing the beat i is mess up oh my god please pepole dont buy this cd
One of Their Best!!!.......2004-11-20
This is the Remix is one the best albums from Destiny's Child. The only problem I had was with the remix of Emotions, but nevertheless, the album was very good. I recommend that everyone purchase it. This album is proof of Destiny's Child's style and versatility. The album reinteraates Destiny's Child's vocal abilities and their ability to make their best songs their best songs again. This is the Remix is album is one I recommend to the ones that love to dance and groove. This is an album that you won't want to pass up.
Great remixes but missing something.......2004-11-03
If you own the Vinyl LP Record version of this album, it is missing the bonus track : "heard a word" by Michelle. This album has some of DC'S greatest hits remixed. This is a must buy
Excellent but needs more...........2004-10-29
THIS IS THE REMIX is a great remix cd overall.. i just think that they were being a little bit lazy... if they had the strength to release a remix album then bring new material not old turned new...
dont get me wrong.. this is one of my favourites by DC3...
my favourite song on here is "dot" the original was not that appealing at all until i heard the remix... this song is a constant in my cd changer in the car...
other car bangers "emotions" (neptunes), "bug-a-boo" (refugee remix) "no, no, no" (extended) w/ wyclef and "jumpin jumpin" (so so def).
I am not feelin the 'survivor' (extended) because 1. not extended at all, 2. da brat is not rapping as good in it, and 3. michelle's part is cut out of it (her part in 'survivor' is the best in the whole song). also, the 'so good' is not all that great. 'independent woman pt. 2' is the worst song DC has ever put out.
overall this cd is alright but most of the remixes are great, and most of all of them suck...

For die hard Nas fans only! (2.5/5).......2006-03-27
This remix album was released at the busiest point of Nas's career, where he had been releasing so much relevant and mainstream music that a remix album was almost inevitable, especially during 2002, when almost every big rapper was putting out one of these. The remixes here are new takes on some of his most classic songs, and most of them don't really improve on them any. The only people considering buying this probably know the originals anyway, so they wouldn't buy it to hear Nas's lyrical power, and they would most likely be disappointed. Another thing that will deter many listeners is that the tracks are all edited, and the censorship is done poorly. "From Illmatic to Stillmatic: The Remixes" does well for what it is, but don't be expecting anything too much.
The only remix here that really significantly improves over the original is the "Life's a B**ch" Arsenal mix on this EP. Nas and AZ's verses are left unchanged, and instead of the toned down, slow beat on the original, there is a faster, saxophone laced beat. The "One Love" mix has a more defined bassline and vocals during the chorus, it's actually nice to hear. "It Ain't Hard to Tell" sounds very different than the original and is not worth listening to because it's not even close to as good. The "Street Dreams" remix is a little better than the original, but I didn't like the original that much anyway, and it still reflects that awkward period of Nas's career. The "Affirmative Action" remix is very unimpressive, replacing the original beat with a very tired and played-out old school piano line that we've all heard before. The "One Mic" remix isn't good either because except for the slightly sped-up drum pattern, it's virtually indistinguishable from the original.
The bottom line is that if you're a die hard Nas fan, you might find value to having these remixes in your collection, but otherwise I would not recommend it. That said, Nas is maybe the greatest hip hop lyricist ever and any music that is graced with his verses is worth listening to at least once. Newer fans should buy any one of his classic LPs before this.
weak..........2005-11-03
these remixes dont even compare to the original. if you haven't heard the songs from the og version of illmatic yet then you better wake up, 'cuz illmatic is still one of the best hiphop albums to date.
NOT EVEN 30 MINUTES LONG-BUT HARD HITTING BASS.......2005-07-03
OUT OF ALL THE CD I HAVE BOUGHT SINCE 2000.THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST.WITH ALL THE HIT'S NAS HAS; HE REALLY CAN ONLY MAKE 6 REMIX'S.
THERE IS ONLY AN EDITED VERSION MADE.SO YOU ARE DRIVEING DOWN THE STREET LISTENING TO THE SONGS.AND EVERY 12 SECONDS A SWEAR WORD IS BEING SCRATCHED OUT.
AT LEAST HE COULD OF MADE A REAL CLEAN ONE.SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO HEAR A COVERED UP PA VERSION.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY THERE IS NOT A PA VERSION MADE.
IF PEOPLE LIKE JENNIFER LOPEZ CAN MAKE A FULL REMIX CD.AND SOMEONE LIKE MARIAH CAREY CAN MAKE A 2 DISC ONE.I DON'T THINK NAS EVEN TRYED.
BUT AT LEAST THE CD HAS HARD HITTING BASS.BUT IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SYSTEM IN YOUR CAR THAT IS EVEN WORTHLESS.{NO SYSTEM~NO BASS}
IF YOU WANT THE REAL NAS BUY HIS VIDEO COLLECTION DVD!
NOW THAT IS THE NAS WE ALL KNOW. HIS DVD IS PERFECTION.SO DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.AND BUY HIS DVD. (SYRACUSE,NY)
one of the best remix cds I have heard.......2005-02-06
I was casually browsing the used cd bin at my local cd store. I pick this up and see that it is Nas'remix cd. I said, hmm, I have to get this because I have only one of his cds(God's Son). So I picked it up and put it on in my car, and I heard Life is a Bitch remix, and I went "WHOA!" and started bobbing and weaving to it. I was thinking this is a great song, then I heard One Love remix, and I went, man, he is a good rapper, and they do not kill his songs with the remixes. The most pointless remix is the One Mic remix. That one sucked, I have never liked that song. It is just ok.

Ideal for the Gym.......2006-09-24
This is Jessica's worst album, but this is a great CD to listen while working out.
Okay not the best..........2005-10-17
Okay she is no Mariah Carey (although often compared to her. Jessica doesn't song write as well as her.) She has Britney Spears appeal (although not as good as her.) Not as smart as Mandy Moore (wow it's a pattern) and doesn't have good voice compared to Christina Aguilera. She is average at all of them making her not have something that makes her the best. She does have the best realtiy show out of all of them. She is good at the moment as she is playing her cards well. Good for you Jessica Simpson.
Buy it for Peter Rauhofer, Lenny B., Hex Hector Mixes!!!.......2005-09-02
That 3 mixes are the best mixes i ever heard from Jessica Simpson. I think the Lenny B.'s mix is the best mix he ever did. Hex Hector mix is one of the best club mixes you will ever hear - amazing - i love it! And if u want sth a bit harder then try Peter Rauhofer Mix (i love Peter - i had to buy this!) and the Chris 'The Greek' & Guido Osorio Club Mix (great beats and is pretty hard - oh yes!). Bought this CD only for the remixers - not for Jessica...
disney star. no-hit flop?.......2005-05-23
Taking a backseat with disney counterparts--super has been spears who has a flopping show and 1-hit-wonder lohan...Jessica before "In This Skin" only wrote or co-wrote one song ever released on her albums or not. Wow...no wonder she IS a disney star and doing NOTHING now!
Dancable, Prove Of Talent, But Can Be Too Long!.......2005-05-23
She hasn't had many hits, but the ones she has, had been successful. The remix's on here prove danceable, but seem somewhat overextended. Some tracks should have cut the beat shorter, but the CD shows her voice better, featuring her doing higher, better, and more powerful souring notes! Jessica's remix shows a great voice, better than some of her other stuff, but can get a little boring and you may use the "skip" button often. Overall, 3 stars!

Customer Reviews:
Stunningly beautiful and uplifting - best Nicolette album so far!!!!.......2006-04-06
This is definitely Nicolette's masterpiece. You can see the musical connection between this and her last two albums but this by far the most musically audacious, but catchy and infectious album to date. My fave is Groovy, a jiggly cover of the Simon and Garfunkel tune, but all the songs are pure gold. Ranging from ballady symphonic style electronica (fire in the heart) to drumnbass infuenced quirkiness (I Am where the party'sAt, Jenny) to to funky, soulful electronic pop (Wholesome, Soulfully) to whispering violins (Worship). It all sounds like a big colourful sonic celebration. And on top of it all Nicolette's amazing voice sends shivers down your spine. A unique treat - don't miss it!
Not as good as Let No One Live Rent Free In Your Head.......2005-12-30
which was sonically and musically all over the board and brilliantly experimental. However, Life Loves Us is Nicolette's most consistent release to date. Each track compliments the one before it creating a refreshing and uplifting listening experience. Presently, I AM WHERE THE PARTY'S AT, SOULFULLY and SUNSHINE are the tracks that stick in my head the most. The BIRTHDAY INTERLUDE is another in which Nicolette samples her friends singing Happy Birthday to her and turns in into a 30 second trip hop ditty. WHOLESOME is probably the oldest single released from Life Loves Us(and it is also where the album title comes from). It appears in a completely reworked (and highly superior) version on Plaid's Parts in the Post. The only setback to the disc is Nicolette wrote, produced, programmed and arranged every track. The absence of the production talents of Plaid and Alec Empire are obvious as some tracks (like the chorus of SUNSHINE or all of WORSHIP) are a bit murky and muddled with Nicolette's voice too high in the mix. A friend I played this for said it sounds like she got a Casio keyboard and plunked out a few songs and I can see his point. For example, the opening snyth swoops of SUNSHINE are frighteningly similar to the synth swoops sample on Music Generator for Playstation. It's not that bad, but Life Loves Us could have benefited greatly with an extra hand or two in the pot to stir things up a bit. Overall if you're a fan of Nicolette you won't be disappointed. Well worth the almost 8 year wait. 3 1/4 stars.
Great music, great singer with a unique style........2005-10-22
I have most of the Nicollette CDs, and I love this one the most. She brings a bright sunshine and exhuberance to her music. It is like listening to a form of drum and bass, mixed in with electronica. Some of the songs are very infectous and I keep hearing them in my head, and I begin dancing.

Product Description
This beautiful package is a multi-panel digipak layout containing Ehron Vonallen's album "Incarnation" w/ a special edition CD of the songs reinvented and a 12-page booklet. The music is deep, intense and ingeniously constructed. Mark Vail - Keyboard Mag Ehron Vonallen's debut album, created on a budget of a major label act with over a year's worth of studio time to perfect every sound in every song, this release was never intended to make a killing in profit. It was created with the true music fan in mind. Containing numerous styles of music from song to song, it's almost like listening to a soundtrack more so than an album. Although it keeps a song based orientation with the same singer throughout with occassional guest vocalists to add to the mystery. And it's not just the music, the artwork and packaging of this album is worth the investment in itself. Beautiful art layout by the great John Hall in the vein of Delerium's elegant style and taste for album covers, this album would definitely look perfect on display. The remix album is technically not "remixes". They are reinventions of the original songs. Most have completely different music but with the same vocals. It's basically like having 2 different versions of the album "Incarnation".
Customer Reviews:
Keyboard Magazine - Mark Vail.......2003-12-03
Ehron Vonallen`s lyrics tell of lost love, faith, euphoria, pain, rape, and nuclear fallout. He plays haunting synth textures, his synth timbres slice through the gloom, his intricate loops are infectious, and he sings most of the mournful leads. The music is deep, intense, and ingeniously constructed. Vonallen has successfully amalgamated the styles of his influences - Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Recoil, Enigma, and Front 242 - and delivers heart-wrenching material on Incarnation, his debut CD. He has vision and talent, and we all should listen.

Electronic Musician Magazine- Geary Yelton.......2003-12-03
Geary Yelton, associate editor for the world renowned magazine Electronic Musician recently wrote about the new Moog Voyager synthesizer; in which Ehron Vonallen designed a sound in the synth called Bass for E. Vonallen.
he stated:
"I spent some time exploring the Performer model`s standard Presets. Of all the bass Presets, In the Pocket and Bass for E. Vonallen are my favorites; both are definite blasts from the past, and certainly the most authentic Moog basses I`ve ever heard"

I have never seen him live but track 2, 3 and 10 remind me of
Bowie during his electro post let's dance to earthling era.
I don't care for track 1 because it's too heavy for my taste,
but the rest of the cd is amazing!
Excellent combination of songwriting and technology.......2003-09-20
It''s no secret they will remind you a little of Depeche Mode but I feel with a lot more depth. There's definitley a European influence. The songs go from one direction to the next keeping the listener on their toes.
I give it 5 stars

Album Description
After years of creating great music and working with some of R&B's best known names; like platinum selling Jill Scott and Columbia recording artist Vivian Green, producer/writer/performer Fred David Kenney, Jr. is taking center stage with his debut release, "My Life... a Jesus Remix".
This debut carves out a unique place in today's Gospel and Contemporary Christian market. A dynamic combination of song & spoken word, these musical combinations echo a laid back R&B, neo-classical feel entwined with a Philly funk foundation. Completed by a canvas of Jazz inspired cords and classical string lines this ensemble fits best in its OWN category
this is truly "Christian Soul" at its VERY best!
Influenced by those spirited sounds of a melodic Philadelphia, this head-nodding harmony is, most importantly, doctrine-driven
teaching God's word in a manner far beyond typical praise and worship. Virtually every key verse and phrase is accompanied by a relevant Bible passage. Music enthusiasts (with a Bible and this CD) are exposed to God's word in proper context and in depth Bible concentration all wrapped up in the laid-back grooves our airwaves readily embrace. By incorporating essential Christian doctrine with praise and worship, this CD has all the makings of a Bible study in concert! "From song #1 to the last it's a ride for the listener. If you want to grow in your knowledge of God and strengthen your walk why not do it to a tune you can groove to?" And even if that's not your main objective at the very least you'll find yourself intrigued by the message in the music, wondering just what this walk is all about!
