I enjoyed this album. I too anticipated it, and made sure that I had enough time and space (not in the car, not while I was doing something else) to listen to it. It starts well--the Donald Lawrence touch. I have become accustomed to the new studio sound that they have all been showcasing on their solo albums, and Donald catches this sound nicely. It really is not true to their live sound of many years ago, but I guess the Clark Sisters have changed with the times--in many ways. I really enjoyed the remakes--enjoyed singing along. As any tried and true fan, I had all the ad-libs and fillers down to the note. I like how the reggae beat on "World" is updated to a more contemporary reggae beat. But didn't anyone else have questions about the strange voice on "Instrument." I understand it may be Blanche from Tri-City, but why is she on here? And if she is going to be, why isn't she at least named as a guest vocalist to save me the trouble of figuring out which one of the sisters had lost it? Also, it seems that Twinkie was a bit hoarse. She wasn't soaring as she usually does with that crystal clear voice of hers. She deals well with it, but her hoarseness took away some of the "sangin' " that we are accustomed to hearing from the group. For that matter, Karen seemed to be hoding back too. Anyway, a good buy. If you're going to be a Clark Sisters connaiseur you need to get it.

A CD that will inspire to change from the beginning till the End.
Got to love the Clark Sisters and their legacy.

Warning:The CD does have it technical issues like Karen's 'It's Not Over' because you can tell the difference between studio and LIVE...Overall great buy!

They have to get a grammy for this. I understand why is been in the top CD's since it came out. My favovite is 'Livin'. It's one of the new tracks, and they are sangin for Lord! I enjoyed them doing the old songs too. I love "Blessed and Highly Favored" THe orginal cut i think was on Twinkie Solo CD. Between The clark sisters, and J. Moss they could put on a Jamin concert. That would be a blessed concert. If you a true fan of the music you will love this CD. They all look good and sound good, give them the Grammy please!

I bought this album the very day it came out! This album is a masterpiece. Blessed and Highly Favor is my favortie song on the album. I really like how they all did there thing on each song.. Good luck to you ladies.. And now I see there's a live dvd.. OMG IM IN HEAVEN! I just ordered that. Can't wait for this to be released.. Now I can get the visual to them singing all of these songs from the live album! PRAISE GOD!

Have you ever had a CD that you where casually listening to all of a sudden stop you dead in your tracks? That is what this CD will do to you.

I was nonchalantly listening and then the song "Instrument" came on then everything stopped and up went the praise. And if that was not enough, the following song "You Heard Me Cry" just floored me.

The whole album is well put together with the old and the new. The sisters take turns taking the lead on specific songs which really accentuates how talented each sister really is. "One Last Time" (Live)should be a CD that you will play for years to come.

If you have never really listened to the Clark Sisters before I would advise you to listen to the samples and then order/buy it immediately. You'll be glad you did!

This cd is simply amazing! From Is my Living in Vain to Expect a Miracle you can feel the annionting these ladies have from the very begining. This cd triumphs alot of gospel cds because even in the time that it was recorded to now you can still relate to everything the Clark Sisters are saying in these songs. On this cd my favorite is Speak Lord because Karen Clark Sheard ministers in this song to every and anyone. The way she recites the scriptures makes you feel the presence of God. This cd is definetly up there with You Brought the Sunshine, Count it all Joy,He gave me Nothing to Lose and Heart and Soul. You can also see the growth and evolution of these singers over the years and as each cd comes out.

From start to finish, this album is truly amazing.

Is My Living In Vain- All 5 sisters take turns singing parts of this, and when they get into it, it is truly magical, of course they get a little help from really cool organ and WICKED percussion , in a good way.

Ha-Ya - My favorite track . It's a discoey funk that celebrates a Hebrew tongue for Christ.

Salvation - I was listening and singing along to this song while driving home from work last night. It features the almost never featured Jacky Clark Chisholm on lead and is probably her best singing ever. Ya gotta feel bad for her , tho. Always being overshadowed by her younger sisters.

Now is the time - Gorgeous ballad with all sisters singing together.

Pure Gold - This track explains to white people why us black folk go to church. Listening to this and tell me it doesn't put you back in the church pew on a Sunday morning. A very young Karen Clark makes this number shine.

Overcome - I like the harmonies in this one. Their mother takes the lead on this one.

Speak Lord- Baby sister Karen outdoes herself again.

Expect Your Miracle - This is a Clark classic. The sisters sang this on TBN sometime in 2005 with Donnie McClurkin and Kim Burrell. Ms. Burrell honestly thought she can do better vocal acrobats than Karen. Isn't that sad?

This is a WONDERFUL CD an an excellent price. You are missing out if you haven't heard it.

The songs are uplifting, insightful and certainly have carried me through some tough times. I love the title. It says it all. I really did not know who the Clark Sisters were when I purchased this item. It was the title which attracted me and I have not regretted it. I am a committed fan. Thank you for such meaningful music. bt

Listening to the Clark Sister's is like listening to Angels.
I love every song on this CD. But my two favorites are Expect a Miracle and Salvation Means More to Me.

This is truly a classic gospel album, probably the best you can get from those years. The Clarck Sisters clearly remain as a top reference in the gospel music panorama, even today, and listening to this album you can know how did it begin. This is an honest, no-make-up-added recording and it has a bluessy-funky feeling, that will never get old. Musically great and God inspired, just the way a Gospel album should be. If you consider yourself a Gospel fan, I dont know how could you possibly not have this album yet.

Old-time country music just doesn't get much younger than this, though the Peasall Sisters have practically become seasoned veterans over the five years since their childhood breakthrough on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. Sarah (now 18), Hannah (14), and Leah (12) may belong to a generation that has never known life without computers and cell phones, but they channel the inspiration of the Carter Family and conjure an era when some rural fans of the music didn't even have indoor plumbing. Though the results sometimes fail to distinguish between the timeless and the cloyingly quaint (the world hardly needs another version of the traditional "Angel Band" or A.P. Carter's "I Never Will Marry," especially renditions this mawkish), the spiritual material that opens and closes--the title track and the a cappella "Where No One Stands Alone"--finds the trio in truly transcendent harmony. It bodes well that what is arguably the best track here, "Gray County Line," is one of the album's three originals, while the production by John Carter Cash shows good ears as well as strong bloodlines. --Don McLeese

I discovered these young ladies through the movie O Brother Where Art Thou? and was immediately charmed by their youth, talent, and angelic voices. This CD is full of beautiful songs full of love that (whether you're a big bluegrass fan or not) you will develope a nostalgia for. Their harmonies are lovely, their voices are sweet, and their words are meaningful. Not to mention, they are all accomplished musicians!

I heard most of these songs on the documentary DVD about these girls and their family put out by Franklin Springs Media. I just fell in love with their sound. These songs are so soothing, and their story is inspiring. I recommend this CD and their DVD.

The first time I saw and heard them was on KY tv. Their sound is 1/3 Dixie chicks, 1/3 Andrew Sisters, 1/3 original and they sometimes had their father on base. Perfect! .... But there's a problem, they only have two albums.... Bummer!
Hopefully another one will be coming out soon. I think a Christmas album would be nice :o)

The was an accidental purchase. I was listening to pandora and it played one of the songs on this album and at the time the only way to look at the album was to click "Buy from Amazon" but it looked to have too much of a southern christian slant for my tastes.

Amazon left it in my "cart" and when I did the next set of purchases I didn't even notice it was still there in the cart. I can't think of a single song on the album that isn't a pleasure to listen to.

    I bought this CD and the other Clark re-release. Now granted these other folks are right about the sound quality, but it actually makes the music carry a little bit more, which is kinda cool. I love the music and, personally, the quality could be much worse. The quality, actually, puts you back in the 80s, when this stuff was made, or so I think. And it doesn't hold back how powerful the ladies' voices were. The first track alone is worth buying the CD. Go ahead, buy the CD! It will uplift you and make you feel good!

    This is one of the definative Clark Sisters Albums/CD. I had the original on wax and it was GREAT! I rate this a "1" only because it contains the Clark Sisters.... Too bad it's marred by such a lackadaisical, mediocre, non-chalant attitude by their former record company "sound of gospel" Who need to be re-named "Scam of Gospel" If they had any integrity, they would never have released a landmark album of this magnitude with such piss-poor effort. God bless the Clark Sisters.. May SOG be plagued by the worse things imaginable...

    I bought this even AFTER reading the other reviews about the quality-I know, shame on me! But I LOVED this album when it came out and listened to it daily while in college. After receiving the CD, I have to tell you that the tape I made from the original album over 12 years ago sounds better than this-cracks and all. The ladies sound like chipmonks, totally distorting the quality of their voices, which is so sad as their voices are beautiful. The tempo actually sounds faster if that is possible. I gave the rating a 2 only because it's the Clark Sisters-otherwise, I would have rated in with a 1. I won't listen to the CD, I'll use the tape I have and "settle" for that. Too bad!!! Definitely don't waste your time!!!

    Even if you don't normally listen to gospel music, these songs will leave you feeling uplifted. This is an example of the Forester Sisters doing what they do best. The harmonies are heavenly. I enjoy my copy of this CD so much that I purchased another copy for a friend who is having a health crisis. She said the music really lifts her spirits. She listens to it every day.

    OH my happy childhood days. I remember when I was 6 and 7 years old my mom use to play this in her car when we use to be heading to the beach. These songs are so great that when we finally reach the beach and we are taking a bath in the sea and having fun these songs use to be ringing in my ears. Oh what happy days they were. My favorites in the days was Uncloudy day, Old time religion, Turn your radio on, Lily of the valley, and When i get to that train the station in the sky. Those songs was my favourites that right now while I am writing this tears are coming to my eyes that I miss those old days in 1989 and 1990. But ohwell I am not God to bring back those days. So if you love country music and you're thinking of a gospel country music buy this!

    This recording is a favorite with my husband and me. We take it on trips so we can listen in the car. No road rage here! We also listen to it every Sunday. The hymns and family harmony take me back to my roots. Their version of "Amazing Grace" is the best I've ever heard. I probably need to order another copy before I wear out my present one.

    I have listened to this CD and could not help but cry at the gorgeous harmony of all my gospel favorites. This was purely accidental listening to this CD as I am strictly a country fan but my sister had this cd in her car playing. It really surprised me, my reaction to it.

    This video simply wasn't interesting to watch. The music material itself is just "average" and somewhat dated; It doesn't compare to their last project/release "My Purpose" from many years ago. I still love and listen to that CD today. I guess I was expecting something on that level. What a let down...

    Let me start by saying that I am more than satisfied with the "RETURN". I was wondering how a group makes a comeback after 12 years. Well The Anointed Pace Sisters have proven that it can be done. My only criticism of the cd is that some of the songs are too short but im sure thats because of the number of tracks. I think they made an awesome comeback and deserve nothing but respect.

    First Let me start off by saying I have been a fan of the pace sisters since I was three when the U-KNOW album came out. This album is off the hook, they still have it. The first song is "High Praise" an instant radio hit! Then there is a song called "Reign" with a reprise it's lead by Leslie Pace what a killer she is, the song has a kind of Go-Go beat to it. Another song that I just love is "He's Here" featuring my favorite singer Lashun Pace she kills this song and then they go into the "When God Is In The Building". To sum it all up you will get your money's worth but most of all you will be blessed.

    The Anointed Paces Sisters is a Group I love to hear! When I walked in the Gospel Record Store to find they had a new album I was extremely excited that they had returned. However, as I listened to the CD I was disappointed again the same as with their 2003 release of 'It's Already Done'. I'm not sure what has happened with them, but this album does not match their first two albums which were both highly anointed and spirit filled which brought me back to them for this purchase. Durnice continues to deliver in 'It's Already Done', and thank God for them letting LaShun guest solo on this Album. She is a sister and should always be included as God has truly blessed her with the gift to sing. Melonda is my third favorite singer after Durnice and her cut on here was okay, but I was looking for something more on the order of 'His Spirit is in this Place' off of their second Album. God bless the Pace Sisters and may they continue to uplift the name of the Lord!

This album truly touches upon all life's experiences and makes it somehow a little easier for you to get throught even the hardest times! It touches on religeon just enough to remind you there is a God but doesn't overwealm you with one just one religeous belief, very well done! Everyone could use some of messages in the songs!       I received this album as a gift 4 years ago and it is still my favorite after all this time. I am now giving it out to all my friends. I love its honesty. Not all of our Christian life is rosy and positive. It is not what we go through, but how we go through it and this album should help you face any trial. It is an encouraging, supportive and well done piece of work. Bravo!

      The first Sisters album came to me by chance, and it was a true experience of joyful melody and deep-felt harmony. I was so happy to find this second album - just as good as the first. I am desperate to find out whether a third album is in the works. Does anyone know?
