Editorial Reviews
Product Description
New Orleans funk-rock band Afroskull has put the finishing touches on their first full-length studio album, "Monster for the Masses."

With nine songs composed by the band, "Monster for the Masses" was nearly a year in the making. Afroskull rhythm mainstays Joe Scatassa (guitar), Bill Richards (bass), Jason Isaac (drums) and Matt Barone (keyboards) are in top form, effortlessly weaving funk, rock and jazz together into a thick instrumental pallate. The usual Afroskull horn section has been expanded to a virtual army of brass and woodwinds on the album. Old friends Clarence Johnson III, Scott Bourgeouis, Jason Mingledorff and Antonio Gambrelle, all laid down some very funky horn solos.

Monster For The Masses,Afroskull,Afroskull/Secret Ninja,Afroskull's sound is a fusion of Black Sabbath inspired blues riffs, Headhunters style funk and Tower of Power fueled horn section, providing an intense new approach to groove-based composition and improvisation.
