One of the best underrated albums ever by a male soul singer, Lenny Williams is a singer that many young soul singers today should be inspired by. (Please do not take this out of context; I do not want to start hearing Lenny Williams samples popping up all over the place). The milestone of his solo career came with this album, the classic slow jam "Cause I Love You". The disco-ish songs "Changes" and "Half Past Love" are also very good.

Lenny Williams delivers a powerful performance on this CD. With songs like half past love, shoo doo fu fu ooh, and love came and rescued me. He really gives a stand out encore worthy performance to my favorite song "Cause I Love You." He really tells you a story about being in love.

You have to get this! Look, for only $6 you can have the most anguished, tormented, crazy R&B love ballad that's ever been recorded. you don't need that R. Kelly, or Keith Sweat, none of that. I gotta say it: D'Angelo's got nothing on this guy. Lenny's the man with the voice that will break you down. you know that when he says "I watched television until the television went off", you know what he's talkin' about. that was before cable! this is a man who has truly loved and lost like no other. "Cause I Love You" is stone wild, man. there's nothing like it. the tears streaming down his face will be yours by the end of this song, I guarantee. "Changes" is a pretty good track, too, danceable with a Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions "we shall overcome" message of positivity. check it out.

My favorite of Lenny's works is the song, Cause I Love You. His delivery of this song is very soulful and powerful. His high range and holding of notes makes this song so hypnotic, that you just have to have it. I heard it in the Kings Of Comedy movie and I hadn't heard it for many years, since then. To me, buying this CD for that song, makes it worth buying. So, get it. This song is a lover's treasure pick. My word is my bond!

Imagine the Clash meet the Pogues and you'll have a good idea of who Larrikin Love are. A London-based band with an Irish flavor, their songs are catchy and infectious, and the folk instrumentals, with fiddle and Irish drum and excellent guitar work, add a lot to the overall sound.

It's a shame that only import editions are available, so it's hard to recommend them at this price. If you can latch on to a cheaper used CD, I would recommend that. They are definitely worth a listen.

        the drama of a woman's life begins at birth and continues through childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, marraige, motherhood, widowhood, and rebirth. This beautifully-written version is personal and fulfilling. The artist sings with great feeling and musicality. The LIFE is expressed in songs of different languages, but with the same message. I enjoy it more each time I hear it.
