About the Artist
This native San Diegan's passion for music began at a young age. His desire for challenge and opportunity brought him to the entertainment capital of the country, Los Angeles, California. Having been influenced by vast eclectic styles ranging from the old world of Pavarotti and Nat King Cole to the 20th Century sounds of Blackstreet, his ability in vocal and music arranging make evident his mastery in both song writing and performance innovation. Lowell Edward, in addition to being an accomplished vocalist, is also a multi-instrumentalist. His command of the keyboard, guitar and drums not only help him to understand music from different perspectives, but also approach each arrangement with a unique outlook.
His talents have been recognized by the likes of producers Chris Hamabe and Devon Davis (hit-writers for rap artist, Coolio), saxophonist Thomas Ross (band member for pop artist, Natalie Cole & gospel artist, Andrae Crouch), drummer Romeo Rodriguez (band member of R&B group, Club Nouveau), Leroy Wolfgramm (member of the pop group, The Jets), and bass player Ray Gilliard (band member for jazz artist, Herbie Hancock and R&B artist, Bobby Womack). He has worked several events for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Foundation. He also has credits that include work as an artist, background vocalist, engineer, and public relations manager on CD projects for other artists. His most recent work was on the "2000 Promise Keepers' 'Go The Distance'" Album for Maranatha! Music Executive Producers, Stan Endicott and Phil Kristianson.
His range of performances have included Calvary Chapel's live national radio broadcast, which was heard by 65,000 listeners; Promise Keepers' Conferences/Los Angeles Coliseum (attended by over 42,000 people); San Jose's Thunder In The Bay, televised internationally and webcasted live via internet; as well as tour dates with Holland Davis, songwriter for Maranatha! Music & The Vineyard Music International. He is the house act for G.C. Systems, a division of Guitar Center, the world's largest music instrument retailer allowing him to utilize today's state of the art technology. He supports many Chamber of Commerce, Civic Center, and Parks and Recreation community events across the Los Angeles County including, "The Los Angeles County Fair". His requested participation at events branches out to various communities such as non-profits like, 'The Los Angeles Mission', to live music dance clubs like, 'Club Soho' and 'The Galaxy Theater', to even the virtual world of 'SEGA GameWorks'; a unique joint entertainment venture between SEGA Enterprises, DreamWorks S.K.G., and Universal Studios, Inc., conceived by Steven Spielberg and co-founder Skip Paul. He has endorsements with Endorse Peace Clothing, AKG microphones, and exclusively uses Roland keyboards.
His immediate future includes the promoting his R&B, Hip-Hop, dance mix album and an ever-increasing tour schedule including club dates, cultural festivals, and community benefit performances.
Product Description
For releasing his first self-produced album entitled, Feel The Flow II, Lowell Edward is a definitely a groove machine who went from being just another act to a serious soul contender. An artist who's truly thinking outside the traditional borders, and part of the reason can be heard on the album title track "Feel The Flow II". Easily to be a hit single, it marries four-part harmony and hip-hop swagger. His sophisticated sound that goes beyond conventional barriers is a testament to his heart and soul that he invests in his music and performances. But Lowell Edward is proving that he is more than just a one-hit wonder. The production on his seriously smooth, yet undeniably funky originals will elevate Lowell Edward from an R&B favorite to a pop star, all without skimping on the attitude or the groove.
