Nice Indie Effort.......2007-02-25

This is a nice set of mid-90's R&B slow jams, with a few uptempo numbers thrown in for good measure. Nothing remarkable, but there are particularly pleasing moments to be found in the titletrack ballad, the slightly New Jack-oriented "Never Knew Love," and the down-to-earth midtempo "Homey and a Friend." Vocally, Adams (who produced several of the tracks here) is engaging and stylish. As a lyricist, he's more limited. Perhaps we'll hear more from him in the future?
